Cue an extended car chase across the country, with Gleason playing the dim-witted sheriff in pursuit and Sally Field providing some on-the-road romance.

Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) is Hollywood's least successful director. He figures that the only way to boost his flagging reputation is to make a film with megastar Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy). However, the only way to get Kit into the movie is to film him surreptitiously, while actors approach him and say their lines. Bowfinger also stumbles upon Kit's movie buff brother Jeff (Murphy again), whom he convinces to impersonate his befuddled brother. Frank Oz directs from Steve Martin's original script.

Eleven-year-old Timmy (Macaulay Culkin) is about to be reunited with his ex-con father (Ted Danson), who he has not seen for years. Unfortunately he arrives to witness dad, now a pastry chef, preparing for one last heist to set him up for life. However, once the theft has taken place, Timmy hides the booty, and blackmails his father into spoiling him rotten in return for telling him the loot's whereabouts.

Peter Bogdanovich directs this comedy drama set during the Great Depression. At her mother's funeral nine-year-old Addie Loggins (Tatum O'Neal) meets Moses Pray (Ryan O'Neal), a man who many of the locals suspect of being her long-absent father. Although he denies the allegations, Moses is persuaded to take Addie to her new home with her aunt in Missouri. Along the way, the young orphan discovers that Moses is a travelling conman who preys on recently widowed women by selling them a personalised Bible. The pair form a formidable partnership after Addie demonstrates a natural talent for confidence tricks and joins Moses on the road to execute his scams. But their success and friendship is threatened when Moses becomes fascinated with an exotic dancer named Trixie Delight (Madeline Kahn), leaving Addie to devise a plan to bring him back to his senses.

Jason Bateman, Tina Fey and Jane Fonda star in this comedy drama, directed by Shawn Levy and adapted by Jonathan Tropper from his own novel. They stay in their childhood home, along with their oversexed mother Hillary (Fonda), for Shiva, the seven-day mourning period practised in Judaism. During the week they each face up to problems in their respective lives. The cast also includes Rose Byrne, Kathryn Hahn and Timothy Olyphant.
