LISA KLEIN's marriage is dying, and it's a losing
battle-complicated by an unexpected affair. While on a short trip
to California, she gets in the way of a radical fan who tries to
shoot rock star Yale Frye. Yale makes it out all right, while Lisa
ends up shot. During her hospitalization, she meets the superstar,
and their attachment grows into a romantic relationship. But Lisa
can't just walk away from her marriage; she has to keep it together
in order to shield her two sons.
However, once back home in Ohio, she realizes the damage between
her and her husband Ronnie is irrevocable. Soon, their divorce is
official. Not only does she lose her husband, but she loses the
love and respect of her two sons, who take their father's side.
Suddenly, Lisa is so very alone, seeking purpose and direction as a
middle-aged divorcee. In an eff ort to recover her passion for
life, Lisa writes a book. Surprisingly, the work is a success.
An even bigger surprise is to have Yale Frye back in her life.
Yale is an artist, though, and not always solid support. Lisa can't
fight the feelings she has for him, and as her career continues to
rise, it seems her relationship with Yale begins to plummet. She's
willing to bet high, and through tough times and times of joy, Lisa
discovers her personal strength and realizes how far she will go to
gamble on love.
How will Miranda Nichols-a young, attractive widow-choose between
two men she loves, both of whom want to marry her? After
permanently moving from Manhattan to her country home, Miranda
meets Jeremy Pearson, a sweet learning disabled man who awakens her
long dormant sexuality. Their life together promises to be easy,
full of fun and uncomplicated-that is until Nick Kramer enters the
picture. Nick is the sophisticated New Yorker Miranda reconnects
with during her book-signing trip to Manhattan. Each man appeals to
her on different levels, and it is not until the very end that we
discover Miranda's choice.
Universities are normally conservative institutions. In this book
they are not. The professors depicted in this imaginary institution
exceed conventional norms. They go all out in their seeming quest
for propagation. They exemplify the shadow side of our culture.
Their braininess is fully compensated by their horniness. The male
and female professors in this book engage enthusiastically in all
kinds of normal, abnormal, experimental, experiential and orgiastic
sexual activities. Dionysus, the Greek God of fruitfulness, would
fully approve. Young and older readers will find inspiring images
and detailed descriptions of specific acts of love-making that will
help them overcome the normal boundaries of morality and allow
their secret wishes to come to the forefront. The protagonists
depicted here overcome the restrictions of conventional morality -
shame, marriage and personal love. The pair gets enlarged to a
trio, the trio to a quartet, the quartet to an octet. The bodies
merge into a single body; the boundaries between heterosexuality
and homosexuality get exceeded. Anything goes.
This is the story of the lives of four ladies: Denise, Keisha, Liz,
and Tonya. Denise is living the most normal life she possible can
with her husband, Eric, the man she loves and whom she will never
leave. Keisha, a real estate agent, enjoys the single life until
she meets a man named Robert, who is a handsome and rich bachelor.
Keisha is very independent, living her life and doing her own
thing; no man is going to change her lifestyle . . . or will he?
Liz is married with three children, but she is still lonely because
her husband, Mr. Frank, is never home. Liz meets a young man named
Terrence and falls deeply in love with him. What will Liz do? Is
she in love with the other man? Tonya does anything with anyone and
lives the single life. Tonya doesn't care about herself, her
five-year-old child, or her mother, even though she is still living
at her mother's home. Watch out for Tonya; she may be with your man
. . . or your woman.
Darnel knows he is treading in dangerous waters, but he doesn't
care. From the moment he first sees Keri, a beautiful new
assistant, he is intrigued. She is smart, sexy, and alluringly
elegant. Darnel must be careful, or they might both get burned. But
she is too irresistible, and he throws caution to the wind. Their
love is pure and sweet, and everything seemed kissed by
destiny.
Laura is a striking beauty, a dark-skinned temptress in high
heels. Her beauty is only skin-deep, however, and her brilliant
smile masks the darkness of her soul all too well. From a distance,
she looks like a sophisticated lady, but that's just her disguise.
Up close, she's nothing but trouble, and now she has set her sights
on destroying Keri and Darnel's happiness.
Laura launches a meticulously planned assault on the couple, and
they must now use every skill they have to save themselves. Unable
to prevent disaster, Keri watches helplessly as her life begins to
spiral down into the abyss Laura has created for her.
Can love truly conquer all in time to save her life-let alone
her relationship?

Searching for Gilead is a chronicle of love, laughter, and loss.
Over the span of three and a half decades, the members of the
Compton and Fischer families have seen the world change, both in
and out of their homes. Linked initially by the love affair of two
of the sons, Jonathan and Tom, the families' relationships evolve
into an intriguing web. The novel traces the connections between
the two families over three and a half decades. Like many families,
not everything is as it seems on the surface. Relationships among
the family members brought together by the young men's love are
tested over differing perspectives on bigger issues, such as the
place of religion in people's lives and in the world, injustice in
global affairs, the joy and pain of love, threats to the
environment, the role of the arts, and, ultimately, that most human
of experiences, the death of loved ones. Witty, comical, poignant,
and shocking by turns, the story traverses the globe from Toronto
to Venice, from New York to Nairobi, and from Geneva to Marrakech.
In the end, the journeys of these people, as individuals and as a
family, go beyond the simply geographic.
Amber Wilson left the only home she had ever known in Northern New
York to move to New York City. There she meets the love of her
life. But Ricky Davis' job causes too much stress for her and she
leaves him without a word to return to her childhood home. Two
months later, she discovers she is pregnant with his child.
Stubborn and scared, she waits until she is eight months pregnant
before returning to NYC, hoping that Ricky will forgive her and let
her back into his life. But there is another woman, one he is
involved with who doesn't want to let go. And yet another woman
would like to be with him. Who will he choose? What does Amber have
to deal with to try to win back his love?
Enter a world of mythological places, mermaids, king's harems,
dragon-like beings, and gypsies-a world of erotic domination and
submission in times and places far different from our own.
Submissive Fairy Tales is a collection of previously published
