....is a powerful inspirational memoir that allows the reader to
experience the author's spiritual journey as it empathizes with
life after death through memories from the past.
An inspiring and insightful guide to solving your problems or
changing your life by using the creative powers you already have,
the Power of Self. The key to unlocking your creative power is to
know the self, including its origin and components. Achieving
Self-mastery has been an enigmatic quest for humankind for eons.
Yet, a few masters have solved the riddle and completed the path to
enlightenment. The Power of Self outlines the secrets and
principles that these masters have taught about the human mind. The
author guides and inspires, making it easy to see how to unlock the
infinite potential of your real Self. He also gives practical
advice about how this time-honored wisdom can be applied to daily
life. The spiritual masters offer a path of self-mastery, whereby
we can gradually attain control over our reactions to the
situations we encounter in the material world. Instead of going
through life in an unaware way, we can purify the mind from all
limitations until we can meet life with a higher form of awareness.
The Path to Self-mastery is a process, whereby we gradually cleanse
the mind from all of the limited ideas, beliefs, paradigms and
assumptions that spring from the material world. We gradually throw
out what colors our perception, and one day we will see the light
entering the mind without having it colored at all. The real key to
unlocking the power of self is not to find some kind of magical
formula that forces the light. The key is to empty your mind of the
elements in the human kaleidoscope that block the flow of light
from your higher Self. This book gives you both the knowledge and
the practical tools to master the Self.
Reader - consider it carefully. After this, there is no turning
back. Put this book down, and you can wake up tomorrow believing
whatever you want to believe. Continue reading, and you will see
just how far the rabbit-hole goes. All we are offering is the
truth, the red pill. Yes. There is more.
"Standing in the Great Room at my home, I see a rainbow, appearing
between the mirrors on my living room wall. I note that the six
colors of the chakra system are in the correct sequence: red,
orange, yellow, green, blue, and lilac at the top of the rainbow.
Looking at my watch, the time is 5:50 p.m.
The rainbow disappears, and now, none can be seen. The time is
5:55 p.m.
Next, almost immediately, two rainbows appear. The first one is
on the back of the Great Room Wall to the right above the sofa
while I stand there facing the mirrors. The second rainbow appears
on the lamp. Both of them contain the six colors of the chakra
system in the chronological order.
I am left wondering if these visuals are the light of God giving
me the go ahead for putting my writings into the hands of the
people. Since the chakra system and the rainbow are both utilized
in my writings, I believe this sign is from God and no
accident."
Through in-depth interviews with 22 New Agers and Neo-Pagans, this
study proposes a new model of religious identity from a
sociological standpoint. The analysis demonstrates that in spite of
their great diversity of beliefs and lack of strong organizational
ties, a discernible community of alternative spiritualists does
exist. This volume will appeal not only to scholars of the
sociology of religion, but also to sociologists interested in
community building, social movements, and self-identity.
Bestselling author and renowned Zen teacher Steve Hagen
penetrates the most essential and enduring questions at the heart
of the Buddha's teachings: How can we see the world in each moment,
rather than merely as what we think, hope, or fear it is? How can
we base our actions on reality, rather than on the longing and
loathing of our hearts and minds? How can we live lives that are
wise, compassionate, and in tune with reality? And how can we
separate the wisdom of Buddhism from the cultural trappings and
misconceptions that have come to be associated with it?
Drawing on down-to-earth examples from everyday life and stories
from Buddhist teachers past and present, Hagen tackles these
fundamental inquiries with his trademark lucid, straightforward
prose. The newcomer to Buddhism will be inspired by this accessible
and provocative introduction, and those more familiar with Buddhism
will welcome this much needed hands-on guide to understanding what
it truly means to be awake. By being challenged to question what we
take for granted, we come to see the world as it truly is. Buddhism
Is Not What You Think offers a profound and clear path to a life of
joy and freedom.
Originally published in 1914, this book brings up the interesting
theory that we are all able to 'tap' into our spiritual powers and
may enhance our lives if we do so. 'The spiritual life is not a
special career, involving abstraction from the world of things. It
is a part of every man's life; and until he has realised it he is
not a complete human being, has not entered into possession of all
his powers.' Contents Include: What is Mysticism? - The World of
Reality - The Preparation of the Mystic - Meditation and
Recollection - Self-Adjustment - Love and Will - The First Form of
Contemplation - The Second Form of Contemplation - The Third Form
of Contemplation - The Mystical Life
