Die umfangreichen Ergiinzungen von Dr. med. J. Winkler wurden hinzugefUgt; hierzu gehoren auch seine Bibelstellen.Nachtriige, die aus Winklers Hand. exemplar des Neuen Testaments stammen und mir von Professor Dr. L. Schreiner freundlicherweise iiberlassen wurden. ' 2. Winkler hat Wamecks Worterbuch an zahlreichen Stellen verbessert; diese Verbesserungen wurden iibemommen. 3. Die Buchstaben B, D, E, I, 0 und U erscheinen hier in Wamecks eigener Neu bearbeitung, deren Endredaktion von Marcks stammt. 4. Eine Anzahl von Stichworten, vor allem solche mit liingerem Text, wurden neu bearbeitet und systematischer geordnet, wobei danach getrachtet wurde, den urspriinglichen Inhalt soweit wie moglich zu erhalten. 5. Neu ist ein Register Deutsch-Batak. 6. Weggelassen wurde der Anhang iiber Ableitung und Zusammenhang der Batak Stiimme. Vermutlich sieht das Werk in dieser Form nun vollig anders aus als Wameck selbst sich eine neue Ausgabe vorgestellt hatte. Wameck hatte vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg sein Worterbuch fUr einen Neudruck iiberarbeitet. Das Manuskript fUr diese Neuauflage sollte van O. Marcks, der in sein Handexemplar des ersten Drucks des Worterbuchs von Wameck viele Ergiinzungen eingetragen hatte, nachgesehen und ergiinzt werden. Marcks starb jedoch 1937, noch ehe er die Revision des Batak Worterbuches abschliessen konnte."
