The study of BaZi (Chinese Astrology) is a sophisticated and
multi-faceted exploration into how the simplest information - a
person's birth date and time - can reveal a wealth of knowledge
about that particular person's character, temperament, behavioural
attributes, and luck outcome and fortune. The "BaZi Structures and
Structural Useful Gods Reference Book" series is designed to
supplement the studies and practice of BaZi students and
practitioners in helping them understand how BaZi structures are
devised, and how to analyse and interpret these structures. The
information in this series is based on classical methods and
techniques that are derived from traditional Chinese BaZi texts and
material. It presents the transliterated version of these
traditional texts for the modern, English-speaking practitioner and
student without losing the essence of the original. This book in
the "BaZi Structures" series focuses on Water Structures, divided
into the 2 types of Water Day Masters, Ren and Gui Water. The
chapters are divided into how both Ren and Gui Water Structures
function respectively in all 12 months in a year. This book on
Water Structures serves as a functional and helpful reference guide
and includes: The attributes of Ren and Gui Water respectively in
each of the 12 months; The Regulating Useful God Reference Guide
for each of the 12 months; Detailed classical commentary on the
factors affecting the overall strength of the Day Master in the
different months; Additional attributes that may affect the Day
Master depending on different Structures and Useful Gods; and a
summary for each month for Gui and Ren Day Masters respectively.
This "BaZi Structures and Structural Useful Gods Reference - Water
Structures" book will yield many hours of pleasurable study and
reference for masters, teachers, practitioners, and students of
higher level BaZi.
Classical acupuncture according to the philosophy of the heavenly
stems and earthly branches uses the fundamental, cyclical rhythms
of nature and life as a foundation for health and development. This
book is one of the first of its kind in the western world to offer
a practical and scholarly approach to applying this philosophy to
clinical practice. This handbook guides the practitioner into a
journey of better understanding of the self and provides the
theoretical background to be able to confidently diagnose and treat
patients. It offers invaluable insight into the use of Chinese
philosophy, psychology and pulse diagnosis.
Contemporary science views our planet as an insignificant speck of
dust in the vastness of space, with its four kingdoms as a random
assemblage of atoms. Yvan Rioux presents a radically different
perspective, demonstrating an indissoluble relationship between
Heaven and Earth. Over aeons of existence, the four kingdoms have
manifested a creative power that perpetually brings forth new
expressions. With the goal of bridging science and spirit, Rioux
helps revive the old intuitive awareness of an intimate communion
between the outer perceptible life of nature, the inner life of the
soul and the majestic spiritual formative forces that preside as
architects - an organic whole where all levels co-evolve. The
earth, nesting in its solar system, is connected with the Milky Way
and the twelve constellations. The impact of the stars as an
influence on human behaviour has been known for millennia. In the
original edition of Rudolf Steiner's Calendar of the Soul, twelve
illustrations of the constellations, made by Imma von Eckardstein,
were published for the first time. These intuitive drawings differ
greatly from the traditional ones, but Steiner stressed their
importance for our modern consciousness. The images invite us to
comprehend formative forces in their various guises in the kingdoms
of nature. By exploring the gifts of each constellation, the author
uses Imma's drawings as a template to elucidate the emergence of
twelve basic forms as the common denominators of all creatures,
leading eventually towards the human form. 'The [new] images of the
zodiac constellations represent actual experiences connected with
the waking and sleeping of particular spiritual beings. In these
images we have a knowledge that needs to be renewed at this
time...' - Rudolf Steiner (1912)
ASTRONOMY / GEOLOGY CATACLYSM! Cataclysm! presents a breakthrough
of enormous proportions--a new understanding of cosmic events in
Earth's recent geological past. Follow this multi-disciplinary,
scientific study as it examines the evidence of a great global
catastrophe that occurred only 11,500 years ago. Crustal shifting,
the tilting of Earth's axis, mass extinctions, upthrusted mountain
ranges, rising and shrinking land masses, and gigantic volcanic
eruptions and earthquakes--all indicate that a fateful
confrontation with a destructive cosmic visitor must have occurred.
The abundant geological, biological, and climatological evidence
from this dire event calls into question many geological theories
and will awaken our memories to our true--and not-so-distant--past.
"In not only the scholarship of paleontology but the paleontology
of scholarship, this is the sort of book which someday we will
realize to be--like the record of a great extinction--the marker at
the end of one era and the threshold of another. It is monumental
work, which no enlightened library of the coming paradigm shift
will be without." --Douglas Kenyon, Atlantis Rising magazine "Allan
and Delair do a brilliant job in revealing that researchers have
barely touched the tip of the iceberg of events that shook the
Earth around 9,577 B.C. . . . This book is an essential handbook to
our ancient past: a brave multi-disciplinary approach that should
be applauded." --Rand Flem-Ath, coauthor, When the Sky Fell D.S.
ALLAN, a Cambridge M.A., is a science historian specializing in
paleogeography, particularly in the Arctic regions. A science
teacher for many years, he is a skilled cartographer and has made a
special study ofevidence for climatic and landform change in recent
geological times. He lives in Basildon, Essex, England. J.B.
DELAIR, B.Sc., is an Oxford-based geologist with wide international
and commercial field experience. An anthropologist, he has a
special interest in animal and plant distribution and in tribal
traditions. He is the Museum Curator of Geology at University of
Southampton, England.
"Inside Star Vision" is a landmark astrology book for the
twenty-first century and centuries to come. It views human destiny
and the life and death travels of individual souls as part of the
larger journey undertaken by the universe itself in various modes
of being and intelligence. Lonsdale not only leads us through
signs, houses, and planets, but also interprets them in the context
of broader archetypes and vision quests. He delineates the years
2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006, and in a daring and
profound act of spiritual writing, he sets the cosmic terms for the
imminent transformation of humanity through an opening of the door
between the two most separated realms of all, life and death.

A German Stargazer's Book of Astrology is the first English
translation of Astronomia Teutsch Astronomei, published in 1545 in
Frankfurt am Main. The original work was one of the earliest
astrological textbooks in the vernacular, predating William Lilly's
famous English primer Christian Astrology by over a decade. With
this translation, Peter Stockinger offers the English reader an
exciting insight into the working methods of a 16th century
astrologer living on the cusp of the Late Medieval and Early Modern
periods. The book contains a detailed introduction by the
translator, providing valuable background information and
historical context, and is comprehensively annotated throughout.
The translation contains, amongst many others, the following
chapters: -Of the Twelve Signs their Stars and Effects -Of Pictures
of the Heavenly Bodies (Constellations) -Of the Fixed Stars and
their Qualities -Of the Seven Planets -Of Eclipses and Comets
(Mundane astrology) -Of the Four Seasons (Weather astrology)
-Claudius Ptolemy's Perpetual Calendar
