Martin Luther was a young man who was afraid of a thunderstorm. He
was a monk seeking for salvation. He was a reformer who inspired a
continent to return to the Word of God. Danika Cooley introduces
9-11 year olds to this key figure in the Reformation.
Probably the most famous children's book of modern times -
regularly topping polls for 'favourite book' and now available in a
Large Type format to complement The Lord of The Rings Large Type
trilogy. Bilbo Baggins enjoys a quiet and contented life, with no
desire to travel far from the comforts of home; then one day the
wizard Gandalf and a band of dwarves arrive unexpectedly and enlist
his services - as a burglar - on a dangerous expedition to raid the
treasure-hoard of Smaug the dragon. Bilbo's life is never to be the
same again. The Hobbit became an instant success when it was first
published in 1937, and more than 80 years later Tolkien's epic tale
of elves, dwarves, trolls, goblins, myth, magic and adventure, with
its reluctant hero Bilbo Baggins, has lost none of its appeal.
The second book in the series following on from the bestselling
Rainforest AdventuresChildren are fascinated with the natural world
around them and with facts and information about animals that they
have never seen. However often good nature programmes on T.V. or
articles in magazines centre on evolution and completely ignore the
Creator. Each story has a Bible verse and lesson for the reader to
take away. Written by someone who spent his life in the Rainforest
this book has the added benefit of being written by someone who has
been there lived there and experienced the culture not just someone
who has read the encyclopaedias.
In 'Is Nothing Something?' Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh answers
heartfelt, difficult, and funny questions from children of all
ages.
Millennials might endure negative labels from older
generations--lazy, broken, entitled, lost--but the most damaging
labels are the ones we use on ourselves. Words are powerful. Even
when they aren't true, they can begin to shape our perceptions of
ourselves and the decisions we make. Yet the only labels that
really matter to this, the largest and most diverse generation yet,
are the ones with which God originally designated us. What does he
call our generation? Sons and daughters. We are called to change
the world and make a huge impact for the kingdom, but we can't do
that if we allow ourselves to believe the limiting labels we hear
every day. Instead, Arden Bevere calls you to - know what it means
to be a son or daughter of God - see how God uses the seemingly
negative things in our lives for good - take control of our
thoughts and words and replace them with God's thoughts and words -
find freedom from addiction, fear, doubts, regrets, and more Your
life is not an accident, a disappointment, or an inconvenience to
God. It's time to redefine, embrace, and walk in your true identity
as his beloved child who will do great things in his name. Let
Arden Bevere, a positive voice in this generation, show you the
way.

Children are fascinated with letters from as young as three and are
still singing alphabet based rhymes at the age of seven. The
alphabet is a collection of 26 building blocks that we use to build
a life-time of reading. In this instance the alphabet is also used
to build strong biblical foundations. The gospel is explained using
the following approach: A is for Adam, B is for bad, C is for care,
D is for don't, E is for Eve, F is for friends, G is for Gave, H is
for Hard etc. Using a mixture of general and biblically specific
words the gospel story is explained from the first day that Adam
and Eve fell, through the Biblical stories of the flood and Jesus
miracles, then onto the crucifixion and resurrection. Each letter
is linked to the next by a question which makes the reader want to
turn the page to find out how the story progresses. Each letter has
different activities and questions linked to it. Throughout the
book the children are asked to think of different things about
themselves and about God. At the end there are summary sheets for
the children to fill in and complete - entitled All about me; All
about God.

Two-year-old Lhamo Thondup never imagined he would be anything
other than an ordinary child, but after undergoing a series of
tests, he was proclaimed the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet. By age 15,
he found himself the undisputed leader of six million people who
were facing the threat of a full-scale war from the Chinese. After
the defeat of the Tibetan national uprising in 1959, the Dalai Lama
had to flee Tibet and went into exile in India. For nearly 50
years, he has aimed to establish Tibet as a self-governing,
democratic state. In 1989, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for
his nonviolent efforts for the liberation of Tibet and his concern
for global environmental problems. As the spiritual leader of
Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama continues to spend his life
working to benefit humanity and preserving Tibetan culture.
