Galleons first appeared in the mid 16th century. For close to 150 years the Galleon was the warship par excellence. The San Francisco II Galleon had three decks, an abundance of equipment and was characterized by its imposing and robust design.

This primer is designed for use on surfaces (e.g. nylon plastics) which are normally difficult to paint and often experience peeling. Applying the primer first allows the paint to attach to the part more securely and leaves the model's paintwork in less danger of damage after completion.

In 1943, the 8th Air Force was launching raids on Germany with its B17 and B24 from England. The aim was to destroy German main production factories. Unfortunately, losses during theses missions were very heavy and it became urgent to develop a fighter able to escort the bombers over enemy soil. The limited ranges of the Spitfire and P-38 Lightning did not make these fighters able to go further than Paris, leaving the bombers alone to fend for themselves for the rest of the flight. With the development of the P-47, this problem was overcome. The P-47 was the first single-seated fighter to be equipped with a supercharger, allowing it to fly at the same high altitude as the bombers. This high-flying fighter was armed with eight 12.7mm machineguns that proved very useful in the intense fighting that occurred in the European skies. Equipped with drop tanks for longer range, the P-47D was then able to escort the bombers all the way to the German border. The Thunderbolt also allowed many Allied pilots to become Aces. Bomber crews plagued day after day by intensive German interceptions, would remark that the presence of the P-47 was of great help.

The Escort Mk 2 was mainly produced in the Ford Group German plants and achieved a good commercial success. In addition to the more classic version, it was also released the Escort Sport version characterized by a more aggressive look and distinctive sport interiors. To compete, successfully, in World Rally Championship, a dedicated model, the RS 1800, was introduced to complete the line up. Successful results has been achieved. The team Waldegård Björn - Thorszelius Hans, that got the second place in the World-famous Monte Carlo Rally in 1979, won the World Rally Championship at the end of the year. The Motosport team also achieved excellent results with the other team, ranked fifth in the Monaco 1979 sport event, formed by Mikkola Hannu and Hertz Arnee.
