After being in the eye of the media for years and teaching at the Kingdom Music Festival for several years, the Lord dropped in my spirit to put together a book that outlines the information and impartations that I have received over the years. I have ministered to wide-eyed individuals for years on the subject of the media promoting your ministry gifts. There is a way to promote your gift without the added pressure of subjecting yourself to the pains and stains of a sometimes godless media system. You can take your gift to the nations without whoring yourself to the nations. As Kingdom builders and agents of change, we can access the seven cultural mountains and bring about a paradigm shift that sets the world on its face and on fire for the King of Kings. I believe that we can be IN the world and not OF the world. Follow God's plan for success in your ministry, business and life. Success comes knocking on the doors of those who are prepared and equipped to open the door. Are you ready?
The internet has given artists the ability to share their music with the world instantly. But many artists jump in without knowing exactly what they're getting into. What resources are available? How have other artists used them? What kind of success can you hope for? What happens when your band breaks up? What happens if your band gets signed? All these questions are addressed in The Working Musician: Essentials of the Music Business for New Artists. Featuring interviews with artists like Timothy Nordwind of OK Go, Chris Arbisi of White Trash, Matthew Taylor of Moses Mayfield and others, this book can help new artists learn about the history of the music business, what resources are out there, how to manage their business, what to know about copyright, and advice from people who have been there.
The Master Key is a book for the indie artist/record company in this digital age, who's trying to become successful and who would like to maximize there dollars of there efforts. This book also has some inspirational words for the mind and soul through biblical scripters.

One Hit Wonders is a complete introduction to the music industry from the initiation of production to distribution of the final product. Each chapter is related to a popular film about the industry, making the content student-friendly and highly accessible and creating a cycle of fictional rock cinema linked to informative text. The book neatly sidesteps conventional organization, with material grouped into clean, clear sections that focus on archetypes, emotions, and experiences. Rather than addressing the best way to find and hire a publicist, the book encourages students to examine "the moment" that musical magic begins to brew. Through iconic films like Jailhouse Rock and Phantom of the Paradise, students explore topics such as the mores of existing as a musician in this modern world and music's ability to create enormous possibilities for personal transformation. One Hit Wonders teaches students that the music industry is more than a business-it's an experience. The book is written for courses in music industry management and production. It can also serve as a supplemental text for courses in popular culture and contemporary music appreciation.

Curtis says: "My decision several years ago to abandon traditional club touring in favor of house concerts has made my career as an artist better on every measurable level. With this book, I'm confident that you can open the door to a whole new world of deeply enriching performance experiences, whether you're a veteran artist or a complete rookie to touring." RAVES: ""Shannon Curtis captures in this book the essence of what it means to be an independent musician: 100% control of your career and 100% of the benefits.
