This classic French paper has a mottled texture on one side and a flat surface on the other, both equally suitable for pastel, oil pastel, charcoal, chalk, pencil, watercolor, and acrylic. It is a heavyweight paper with a high cotton rag content (66%) to ensure long life without deterioration. The entire range of 42 shades are coloured in the pulp to be highly light-resistant and acid-free.

A great palette of cool blues, warm earth, and grey tones are now available to support a wide range of artist creativity. Pastels, charcoal, crayons and acrylics perform beautifully.

The Hahnemühle Lana Colour range is a 45% cotton rag paper which is textured on one side and smooth on the other. The 160gsm weight paper contains 45% cotton which will allow for extra scraping and rubbing back, making it a durable surface to create your pastel paintings on.This popular paper is available in an excellent mix of soft muted tones and greys, with a number of bright colours too. The surface is acid-free (except for black) and is often used in papercutting and layered techniques. It is also suitable for oil and soft pastels, pencil, chalk, charcoal, felt tip, ink and gouache.Please note: the minimum order quantity for the paper in this range is 5 sheets.

Due to popular demand, UART has produced a new, dark version of their classic Premium Sanded Pastel Paper! This dark, acid-free, archival substrate allows artists to create vibrant effects with super rich contrasts. This surface is made using the same materials and consistent texture as UART's regular sand coloured paper and will, therefore, accept a wide variety of wet media. Available in 400, 500, 600 & 800 grade. Please note that the colour of the paper fluctuates depending on which grades you are using: while the 400 & 500 grades provide a rich black texture, the 600 & 800 grades lean towards a dark charcoal colour, as the higher the grade, the smaller the pigments are.
