Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pastel Board allows you to broaden your working surface as it is rigid enough that it can be supported by an easel. It is also much easier to frame your work using the Pastel Board. The board features the well loved 360gsm acid-free Pastelmat paper which has then been bonded onto a 1.8mm board. The board is acid-free and has a white core.
This classic French paper has a mottled texture on one side and a flat surface on the other, both equally suitable for pastel, oil pastel, charcoal, chalk, pencil, watercolor, and acrylic. It is a heavyweight paper with a high cotton rag content (66%) to ensure long life without deterioration. The entire range of 42 shades are coloured in the pulp to be highly light-resistant and acid-free.
High quality drawing paper from Fabriano. 160g/m2, high rag content, acid-free, pH neutral and with high archival permanence. 36 lightfast colours. Grainy, rough paper which is neutrally sized. Very good pigment uptake and therefore best suited to soft and oil pastel but also for pencil, grey and brown chalk, gouache and acrylic.
The natural toothy surface of Art Spectrum Colourfix paper is a superb substrate for dry media such as soft pastels, charcoal and pencils. It is also suitable for acrylics, inks, silverpoint, oil pastels, gouache and watercolours. Available in a range of colours. This paper has been hand primed and dried, as a result, it may slightly curl. Hot pressed European watercolour paper, screen printed with Art Spectrum Colourfix Primer, making 340gsm pastel paper.
