The Langton is a high-quality watercolour paper. The paper is colour-stable, mould-made and acid-free, and is designed to withstand repeated washes without pulping or cockling.

Langton is a superior quality watercolour paper. For many years artists have appreciated the qualities of the Langton. Made traditionally on a cylinder mould machine, the paper features a natural whiteness with a soft touch and distinctive texture. Langton watercolour paper is acid free with an alkali reserve to preserve finished pieces of work and protect against discolouration. Treated with an anti-fungal treatment, Langton watercolour paper also boasts a gelatinised surface for strength and resilience.

Please note, these sheets have a rough finish. They have a textured surface, and are not suitable for painting in a detailed manner.

This popular paper is available in an excellent mix of soft muted tones and greys, with a number of bright colours too. The surface is acid-free (except for black) and is often used in papercutting and layered techniques. It is also suitable for oil and soft pastels, pencil, chalk, charcoal, felt tip, ink and gouache.
