XL® Black is a pulp-dyed paper, specially designed for all dry techniques (pencil, charcoal, pastel, pen). This double-sided paper is perfect for sketching and drawing and its textured surface is ideal for sharp and precise lines with pencil or pastel, while the other, smoother side is ideal for felt-tip and marker. Perfect for students, it is extremely resistant to erasing and scraping.

The Hahnemühle Lana Colour range is a 45% cotton rag paper which is textured on one side and smooth on the other. The 160gsm weight paper contains 45% cotton which will allow for extra scraping and rubbing back, making it a durable surface to create your pastel paintings on. This popular paper is available in an excellent mix of soft muted tones and greys, with a number of bright colours too. The surface is acid-free (except for black) and is often used in papercutting and layered techniques. It is also suitable for oil and soft pastels, pencil, chalk, charcoal, felt tip, ink and gouache.
