Entering the human race, we walk out into a world, searching for
fulfillment. In our pursuit, we struggle with emotional
insecurities and faulty relationships. Eventually we find ourselves
in a society filled with broken people where many weary travelers
are on the same endless quest for peace and well-being. In The
Search Stops Here, the author gives details of her personal
experiences with depression, anxiety, anger, and suicide. Sharing
her journey toward restoration, she explores the root causes of
defeat, aiding in figuring out our frustrations and our hurt. She
addresses life issues such as control and expectations and provides
practical and proven processes for an improved level of health and
wholeness. Debbie Calvert insists that the damage of rejection can
be repaired, the fight to conquer inferiority ended, and the pain
of troubling emotions relieved. Tackling foundational beliefs, the
author shows how thought processes affect our behaviors and
strongly suggests the need of new "house rules." This book offers
convincing evidence of an alternative route - one which is more
effective in offering nurture and love, human nature's absolute
necessity. Stressing the importance of living one day at a time and
better understanding true success, The Search Stops Here challenges
us to stop our tiring efforts and end our lifelong search.

Writer Kate Williams provides scriptural, faith-based keys to
build up your faith in God and serve him on a deeper level. Most
Christians live on a hit-or-miss or "must see it to believe it"
faith. God wants us to have full trust in his ability to take care
of us in any situation. Learn through God's Word how to build your
temple that houses Christ in you and trust him in every situation
in your life.
Beverly Jane Phillips grew up in a Christian family, married a
minister, and served with him in four separate parishes. She was
one of the first women in the Presbyterian Church to earn a master
of divinity degree. But even during this amazing life, Beverly had
trials and days when she did not feel her Lord by her side. She had
days when she felt doubt-sometimes even despair. To combat these
days of darkness and bring her closer to God, Beverly began a daily
prayer journal. For over thirty years, she wrote her morning
prayers in spiral notebooks; these became the basis for "From
Heaven to My Heart, " a collection of prayers from an ordinary
Christian woman who lived an extraordinary life. Beverly's
transparency about her own spiritual journey not only enlightens
but also encourages, sharing the message that even the devout
encounter moments of difficulty in their faith. Through those
difficulties difficulty arise inspiration, insight, wisdom-and
faith in an everlasting, benevolent creator. Whether you are
interested in beginning a journey with God, or seeking
encouragement to continue, "From Heaven to My Heart" will become a
valued companion.
Of course a great pair of heels will make any women feel confident
in herself. Standards in Stilletos is a collection of Jazmin's blog
articles and encouraging quotes. The articles promote female
empowerment, self-love, respect for ourselves as women, and never
allowing yourself to be disrespected. The articles put things in to
perspective for women everywhere on how they can build up their
self-esteem and happiness. The articles also touch on relationships
and how women should refrain from selling themselves a dream by
lowering standards or creating standards that are too high. The
book illistrates that relationships require hard work,
determination, and respect on all levels. In order for women to be
able to love, they must find the love for themselves.
In September 2002 she married the man of her dreams. In June 2005
they purchased their home in paradise. It was the perfect love
nest, the kind of home most people can only dream about. Their
private get-a-way was nestled in 5.75 acres of plush exotic land,
with a towering forest of landscape and natural habitat,
overlooking several creeks and streams with breath taking sunset
views from every angle. It was secretly hidden from the world, a
place where deer's and rabbits seek refuge; where the falcons
soared and roamed freely without fear of discovery. It was the
summer of their lives, with a newly built wrap-around deck that lit
up the night. They were the envy of all their friends and
neighbors. Until one day the perfect dream they once shared came
crashing down around them Their once perfect marriage would be put
to the test. Voluntary humility is an honor and privilege best
served with a willing, sincere and open heart. To be humbled by
God, is an indescribable devastation of heartache and pain for
which they would soon discover. September 2009 the flood they once
mocked and avoided two years prior, returns with a wicked
vengeance, only this time it would take most of the city and their
home in paradise with it Being homeless with only the clothes on
their backs, they did not sin nor did they charge God with wrong.
They were hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed,
but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but
not destroyed. In this faith based book, Bernita Weston shares with
the world how they were able to turn their tragedy into triumph.
Find out, "How to Count it ALL Joy, When Faced with Insurmountable
Circumstances "
From a life of unimaginable tragedy hails a story of triumph,
redemption, and grace. Robin Leigh unfolds her decades-old journey
as a trail of breadcrumbs leading from what she describes as the
"gates of hell" all the way to the foot of the cross and into the
arms of Jesus Christ Himself. Don't let your journey end here. Read

We have many words that can describe our seasons of life. These
words can lead to God's promises of love, mercy, and compassion.
The Father wants to meet with you, refresh you, and encourage
you...one word at a time. Jenny invites you to remember to live
each day in the Light of God's faithfulness as she equips you with
scriptures to remind you that, In Christ, every moment is a God
moment. This devotional book is designed to be a study tool
adaptable for group study, Sunday School lessons, devotions, or
personal quiet times with the Lord. JENNY PFISTER is a powerful
communicator, Bible teacher, and speaker whom God has anointed and
used in a mighty way to touch the lives of countless women and men
who are seeking the Lord. Gifted and lead by the Holy Spirit, Jenny
thrives on teaching the Word of God through weekly
interdenominational women's Bible studies and a weekly TV series
called One Brushstroke at a Time. She also leads and teaches at
women's retreats and conferences, offers spiritual direction and
counsel to many, and regularly preaches and leads worship services
at her home church, Breath of God Worship Ministry in Buckhannon,
West Virginia. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Jenny felt
overwhelming love for Jesus at an early age, and sensed God calling
her to her first teaching ministry at the age of 22 at The
Whitehouse Fellowship, a singles ministry at Timonium Presbyterian
Church. At the same time, while teaching music at a private Jewish
school in Owings Mills, Maryland, Jenny fell in love with the Old
Testament. Layer upon layer, it exploded with life and relevance
and became the canvas on which the Lord would paint a perfect
picture of unity, truth, and fulfillment of the Old and New
Testaments. The Lord was gradually birthing in Jenny the ministry
that she would later establish, Brushstroke Ministries. After
moving to West Virginia to serve in the Southern Baptist Convention
as the state's keyboard and piano specialist, Jenny began to
conduct women's Bible studies in homes and churches. In February
2001, she stepped out in faith and founded Brushstroke Ministries,
a three-fold ministry of worship, prayer, and study of the Word of
God for women of all denominations. Her fervent passion for the
Word, along with her spiritual gifting and keen ear for the Lord's
direction, has been Jenny's motivation for writing this series of
devotional books. She paints a picture with her words, one
brushstroke at a time, capturing the beauty of the Lord and His
unfailing love for us. Those associated with this blessed ministry
pray that as you read these devotionals, you will be touched by His
Peace and find comfort in His Presence. To Him be all the glory
The Spirit of the Heart is a collection of poems with most written
during late 2012 through mid-2013. Each of them resulted from
personal thoughts and experiences and from studying God's Word.
Before writing down these words I processed them through my heart
to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit dwelling in
the human heart, the heart opens up to the Truth of being. It takes
practice, patience and faith to hear and understand as the Holy
Spirit responds, conveys and directs the Truth through the magic of
the heart. My hope is that each reader will use these poems as a
guide and a catalyst to gain insight into the power and love of the
Holy Spirit, who was sent as a Comforter by the love and grace of
Jesus Christ.
We as a people of a proud and historic nation have watched as our
economy was fractured badly during the 2001 period through 2009.
The lust for big power and wealth has caused some leaders of
government, business, and religion to have more ambition to achieve
their own personal success than to care about those persons they
are responsible in leading and protecting. Our political system has
lost the ability or desire to have bi-partisan teamwork to make the
quality of life better for our children and grandchildren. My goal
is to get us to seek and find solutions to problems and not just
whine and gripe among ourselves for self gain. I am a small town
boy from Kentucky who was fortunate to get to go to college on a
basketball scholarship. My college education may not have been
possible without athletics. Three years as a young Marine Corps
Officer gave me an opportunity to see life from another vantage
point. Forty years as an Executive in the Auto Industry and an
opportunity to live in eleven different states and one territory
and raise a family of five gave me another good perspective on
life. This book has been born from the memories and actual
experiences I have enjoyed from relationships and friendships with
many interesting personalities from Baseball Great Roberto Clemente
to former Governor George Nigh of Oklahoma to many top executives
in industry. I have seen the "Good, the Bad" and even the Ugly" of
life. Fortunately I have seen so many good and kind people that the
bad and the ugly have been overcome.
Mr. Thomas Andrew Dorsey's telephone number was given to the writer
of this newly released book by the name, Thomas A. Dorsey, Father
of Black Gospel Music An Interview, by a directory assistance
operator in Chicago, Illinois. The writer, at the time, (1975) took
a chance and called, not expecting the first publisher of Black
Gospel Music, to answer the phone. A very hoarse voice said
"Hello," and the writer recognized it immediately as being the
voice he had heard on a recording about Gospel Music that Mr.
Dorsey had done. After being asked if he would consent to being
interviewed Mr. Dorsey unenthusiastically said yes. He was
unenthusiastic the writer later discovered, because fortune hunters
and status seekers had been plaguing him for interviews. Honored
that Mr. Dorsey had said yes, the writer took a train from Kansas
City, Missouri to Chicago, to interview this man who had written
hundreds of songs.
No matter what we would make of Jesus, says Schalom Ben-Chorin, he
was first a Jewish man in a Jewish land. Brother Jesus leads us
through the twists and turns of history to reveal the figure who
extends a "brotherly hand" to the author as a fellow Jew.
Ben-Chorin's reach is astounding as he moves easily between
literature, law, etymology, psychology, and theology to recover
"Jesus' picture from the Christian overpainting." A commanding
scholar of the historical Jesus who also devoted his life to
widening Jewish-Christian dialogue, Ben-Chorin ranges across such
events as the wedding at Cana, the Last Supper, and the crucifixion
to reveal, in contemporary Christianity, traces of the Jewish codes
and customs in which Jesus was immersed. Not only do we see how and
why these events also resonate with Jews, but we are brought closer
to Christianity in its primitive state: radical, directionless,
even pagan. Early in his book, Ben-Chorin writes, "the belief of
Jesus unifies us, but the belief in Jesus divides us." It is the
kind of paradox from which arise endless questions or, as
Ben-Chorin would have it, endless opportunities for Jews and
Christians to come together for meaningful, mutual discovery.
Every Christian inwardly desires to "Soar as an Eagle over life's
Challenges" and Dr. Howard brilliantly paints the picture of how
that can happen through his book. He used scripture and nature's
patterns to create magnificent word pictures with the goal of
breaking down the wrong, limited, and destructive thinking we allow
in our lives. This book is a must-read for any Christian Pastor Tim
Burt Associate Pastor, Living Word Christian Center Dr. Howard
captures the anatomy of the eagle, compares it to the life of a
Christian and turns his discovery into ingredients that constitute
the recipe of a sumptuous and irresistible meal. This easy to read
and life transforming book will change your perspective of life. It
exposes the lies of the devil and liberates the captives. You now
hold in your hands the key to an abundant life. Read it and begin
to soar as an eagle over life's challenges. Rev. Dr. Francis Tabla
Senior Pastor, Ebenezer Community Church, Brooklyn Park, MN.
Executive Director, Liberian Ministers Association "Soaring as an
Eagle Over Life's Challenges" is insightful, thought provoking,
inspirational, motivating, and educational. This well written and
easy to read book compares and contracts the character, anatomy,
domestic life, and other attributes of an eagle to that of
Christian. Through inspiring and thought-provoking lessons penned
in this book, Dr. Howard highlights for Christians some positive
lessons on living above life's challenges; complicated
relationships, finding a life partner, raising a family, and
complex social, leadership and financial issues. This book contains
wealth of wisdom and life-transforming principles that will cause
you to see yourself as God sees you. Harris Sumo, BSW Spiritual son
to the Author This book is a byproduct of a powerful sermon I
preached a few years ago entitled, Soaring As an Eagle. Hundreds of
believers were blessed by that sermon and many of them pleaded that
I turn my manuscript into a book. Consequently, after months of
research, prayers and writing, you now hold in your hands a book
that is easy to read, thought provoking, inspirational, encouraging
and eye-opening. It teaches you how to cultivate the mind of God
concerning your life and situation. After reading this book, you
are going to like the way you think and live...I guarantee it Rev.
