The Spirit of the Heart is a collection of poems with most written during late 2012 through mid-2013. Each of them resulted from personal thoughts and experiences and from studying God's Word. Before writing down these words I processed them through my heart to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit dwelling in the human heart, the heart opens up to the Truth of being. It takes practice, patience and faith to hear and understand as the Holy Spirit responds, conveys and directs the Truth through the magic of the heart. My hope is that each reader will use these poems as a guide and a catalyst to gain insight into the power and love of the Holy Spirit, who was sent as a Comforter by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

We as a people of a proud and historic nation have watched as our economy was fractured badly during the 2001 period through 2009. The lust for big power and wealth has caused some leaders of government, business, and religion to have more ambition to achieve their own personal success than to care about those persons they are responsible in leading and protecting. Our political system has lost the ability or desire to have bi-partisan teamwork to make the quality of life better for our children and grandchildren. My goal is to get us to seek and find solutions to problems and not just whine and gripe among ourselves for self gain. I am a small town boy from Kentucky who was fortunate to get to go to college on a basketball scholarship. My college education may not have been possible without athletics. Three years as a young Marine Corps Officer gave me an opportunity to see life from another vantage point. Forty years as an Executive in the Auto Industry and an opportunity to live in eleven different states and one territory and raise a family of five gave me another good perspective on life. This book has been born from the memories and actual experiences I have enjoyed from relationships and friendships with many interesting personalities from Baseball Great Roberto Clemente to former Governor George Nigh of Oklahoma to many top executives in industry. I have seen the "Good, the Bad" and even the Ugly" of life. Fortunately I have seen so many good and kind people that the bad and the ugly have been overcome.

The greatest need of professing Christians today is a better, deeper, and fuller knowledge of Christ. The Christian life can be described as getting to know God better every day. Every Christian should regularly?daily?read the Word of God. We should find time for quiet time or personal devotion. For over 20 years I have been using commentaries in my devotions. The blessings derived from the commentaries is overwhelming. I am writing this commentary to share some of those blessings and lessons I have learned over the years.

This is an inspiring story about the life of Kristin Michelle Beaucher, how she touched thousands of lives, all of the pain and suffering she overcame, and how her faith in God only grew stronger. Losing her battle with cancer at the early age of nine never changed the person she was or made her lose sight of what she wanted to accomplish. Kristin was diagnosed with medduloblastoma (brain cancer) at the young age of two and a half. She dealt with more pain and suffering than many adults will endure in their entire life. Kristin overcame every obstacle in her path and every problem that came her way with a smile on her face and love pouring from her heart. Kristin was truly an angel, a gift from God himself, who changed the lives of everyone she met, sometimes without even saying a word. She gave when she had nothing left to give, and her legacy lives on through each and every one of us who had the honor of knowing her. "I have cancer so that I can be the one to prove to everybody that God can create miracles." This is my daughter, and she gave her life to save mine. I promised Kristin that I would live every day as she did, to do my very best, and to make her as proud of me as I was of her. I know I will never be able to even come close, but Kristin never gave up. How in the world could I? Sweetie, you will always be my baby, my angel, and my hero
