This superb artist grade paper from Saunders Waterford has a watermark in the corner for authenticity and 2 deckle edges which are visually beautiful and perfect for float framing. Please note that while Saunders Waterford High White papers are noticeably whiter than the traditional Saunders Waterford paper, they still have a pale cream appearance. This is because it is not currently possible to whiten the paper to a bright white without compromising light-fastness by using Optical Brightening Agents. The whiter shade of Saunders Waterford High White paper is achieved by adding a high white lightfast pigment with good long-life properties, as used in some watercolour paints. Artists grade watercolour paper is archival which means it will not discolour or fall apart over time and is made of 100% cotton rag. This paper is much more durable than lower grades of paper because it is gelatine surface sized and it is mould-made, both of which mean it can take scrubbing of the surface without falling apart. Saunders Waterford paper is endorsed by the Royal Watercolour Society. Please note, these sheets are hot-pressed: they have an extremely smooth surface, ideal for detailed watercolour painting. This is a high quality paper made using pure materials to archival standards. It's attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. Appreciated for its excellent colour lifting abilities. This is an extremely forgiving watercolour paper valued by professional and amateur artists around the world. Please be aware that it is not possible to order more than 5 of this product at one time. Millford is styled on the discontinued Whatman watercolour paper, after artists grieved the loss of this unique type of watercolour paper. It is mould made from 100% cotton (just like the original Whatman), and it's beautiful surface is created using natural woollen felts. It is deliberately created to have a high resistance to water, so it’s washes perform very differently to traditional watercolour papers. Saunders Waterford paper is archival which means it will not discolour or fall apart over time and is made of 100% cotton rag. This paper is much more durable than lower grades of paper because it is gelatine surface sized and it is mould-made, both of which mean it can take scrubbing of the surface without falling apart.
One of the worlds finest water colour papers. A 100% cotton watercolour paper, with a structure giving it strength and a characteristic feel. The manufacturing process, using a cylinder mould, makes it possible to obtain harmonious and varied grains with rough, cold-pressed, hot-pressed quality and four deckled edges. The paper is gelatin-sized, and then air-dried, so that the colours retain a fine rendering even after being scraped and erased. Its natural whiteness (no optical bleaches), mildew protection and neutral PH mean that the paper has a very long shelf-life.

Jacksons Two Rivers Handmade Watercolour Paper : NOT surface : 140lb : 22x30in : single sheet Made exclusively for Jackson s by the Two Rivers paper mill in Somerset. This paper is conservation quality, made with 100% cotton and linen rag and very hard sized. This means that the surface is incredibly tough, allowing the artist to work the surface for much longer than with more absorbent artists papers. Because the paint is not drawn into the paper the pigment dries to a sharp and brilliant finish. The inclusion of linen in its make-up results in an unusually tough surface which will resist much lifting out, scrubbing and re-working. Reassuringly, the 400 year old mill is also hydro powered making it very environmentally friendly. TR has a unique random surface texture unlike the mechanically even weave of most other branded papers. This also means that there is not a right or wrong side as both sides are identical. As well as watercolour, our papers are used for other media including pastels, oils, printmaking, photographic processes and many types of mixed media. The NOT surface is slightly rougher than most.
