Renowned Finnish photographer Jaakko Heikkila has long been
interested in small and minority communities around the world. In
"Silent Talks "he meets people on the shores of the White Sea, in
New York's Harlem, or on a Brazilian island. Empathy for his
subjects appears in his intimate and poetic images.
