‘An important piece of fashion history.’ – Vogue
Intimate and elegant photographs taken just before Kate Moss’s rise to
fame, in a stylish new edition
This gorgeously produced book features intimate portraits of a young
and undiscovered Kate Moss, taken in the early 1990s by her
then-boyfriend, Italian photographer Mario Sorrenti. Seen by Calvin
Klein, the photographs gave life to the famous Obsession campaign,
which launched Moss to international superstardom.
Sumptuously reproduced in tritone, Kate is a stunning photographic
portfolio of one of contemporary culture’s most iconic figures. It
includes an introductory essay by Sorrenti, which puts the work in its
uniquely personal context. This book, which celebrates the dawn of two
legendary careers, and the start of the highly influential aesthetic of
1990s fashion photography, is a must-have for Kate Moss’s fans, for
fashion devotees, and for lovers of traditional portraiture and fashion
photography.
Charles III: The Making of a King celebrates the new King in the
year of his coronation. The beautiful gift book includes a timeline
of key events from Charles' life, and explores the future of the
monarchy through photographs and paintings of the wider royal
family, including Diana, Princess of Wales, Camilla, Queen Consort,
William and Catherine, Prince and Princess of Wales, Harry and
Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Prince George of Wales.
Presenting family photographs alongside important formal portraits,
this book features works by key artists who have depicted the King
from 1948 to the present day, such as Nadav Kander, Cecil Beaton,
Marcus Adams, Lisa Sheridan, Lord Snowdon, Joan Williams, Patrick
Lichfield, Norman Parkinson, Bern Schwartz, Carole Cutner, Bryan
Organ, Terence Donovan, Nicola Philipps and Mario Testino.
A penetrating, compulsively readable memoir about the four-decade
career of a top courtroom sketch artist.
Jane Rosenberg is America's pre-eminent courtroom sketch artist. For
over forty years, she's been at the heart of the story, covering almost
every major trial that has passed through the New York justice system.
From mob bosses to fallen titans of finance, terrorists and sex
abusers, corrupt cops and warring entertainment icons, she has drawn
them all.
In Drawn Testimony, Rosenberg brings us into the high-stakes, dramatic
world of her craft, where art, psychology and courtroom drama collide.
Over the course of her legendary career, Jane has had a front row seat
to some of the most iconic and notorious moments in our nation's recent
history, sketching everything from Tom Brady's deflate-gate case, to
John Lennon's murder trial to cases against Ghislaine Maxwell, John
Gotti, Harvey Weinstein and most recently, the indictment against
former President Donald Trump. Readers will learn how she has honed her
unique powers of perception, but also what her portraits reveal, not
only about her subjects, but about the human condition in general.
Fearless, fascinating and gorgeously written, Drawn Testimony captures
the unique career of an artist whose body of work depicts history as
it's happening.
Naomi Campbell is a phenomenon. Still very much at the top of her game
after nearly four decades in the fashion industry, news of her
trailblazing work, both on and off the catwalk, continues to hit the
front pages as she pushes the boundaries of the fashion world.
Inspiring, creative, energetic and most definitely iconic, Campbell
stands apart as a unique force.
Opening with a specially commissioned interview by Tim Blanks, this
book showcases more than 20 of the most eloquent ensembles from across
her career, personally selected and discussed by Campbell herself. It
also explores the different facets of her success - from her work as a
model, a muse and brand builder, to life beyond the catwalk as a
cultural leader with her unerring support of emerging designers.
With spectacular looks from Azzedine Alaïa, Gianni Versace, Chanel,
Alexander McQueen and Kenneth Ize - to name but a few - this is an
exclusive look into the world of one of fashion's most talented and
enduring personalities.
"... Any dog devotee will put it right on their coffee table the
second they open it." -Christina Vercelletto, CNN Underscored "...a
magnificent collection of photos of animals looking sweet,
innocent, thoughtful, tender and sublime." -Dave Johnson, Forbes
What makes dogs so unique? They are the only species that favour
the company of humans over their own kind. A dog looks at us with a
deep understanding and empathy perhaps greater than our own. In
this charming book of dog photography, Vincent Lagrange records
this treasured intimacy with our four-legged friends. Applying the
techniques of portrait photography, which he learned in his youth
at his father Marc Lagrange's studio, he captures our canine
counterparts in crisp, perfectly illuminated pictures that allow
their own soulful personalities to shine through. Text in English
and German.
As Others See Us is based on a new photographic exhibition from
Tricia Malley and Ross Gillespie, who together form the renowned
partnership broad daylight. It forms part of Homecoming 2009,
celebrating the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns' birth. The
exhibition consists of 20 portraits of prominent and influential
Scots, including Eddi Reader, Edwin Morgan, Peter Howson and Janice
Galloway. The portraits capture a unique insight into the sitter,
enhanced by the accompanying text, as each was asked to contribute
their favourite poem from Robert Burns, and to explain why it is
special to them and what they think it means to Scots today.
A celebrated photographer for 40 years, Ellen Graham has worked
with magazines across America, photographing some of the world's
most talked-about people: actors, artists, performers, socialites,
and the glitterati that we are all obsessed with. Graham's images
strike a balance between the glamour of a formal Hollywood photo
shoot and the intrigue of a tabloid expose for a true intimate look
at such legendary figures as Frank Sinatra, Natalie Wood, Warren
Beatty, and Carrie Fisher. Whether shooting actors, performers, or
European royalty, she redefines the resonating myths that have come
to surround these figures. Talking Pictures brings together over
200 images culled from Graham's work for such magazines as People
and Time, her personal archives, and her collection of family
photographs, accompanied by a personal narrative that takes you
behind the scenes of each celebrated image and breathes life into
the glamour of Hollywood's golden age.
