Hippopotamus Sea is an autobiography, chronicling JB Smith's life,

suicide at age 37, the author being 11, and then the authors slow

dirty river the night before, he has a moment of clarity, while
explaining to his innocent sister the next morning, why he was
evading the CIA and wading through the river the night before. His
