As war rages overseas, many Americans strive to understand the pain
and suffering of the courageous troops, fighting for our freedom.
Poet Sarah Patricia Condor is one of these Americans, and she
believes it is necessary to tell their story. She has read their
letters, heard their stories, and seen their families in pain; but
for Condor, the pain is much more personal. She is a child of the
Cold War. Her family members have served in every major conflict in
the twentieth century, from World War I to Afghanistan. She has
seen the turmoil of the distraught wife, waiting for her soldier to
return, and heard stories of the homesick young men, who long to
hug their mothers one last time."Poems of War" is a brash
recollection of tumultuous days past. It is an ode to the heroes
who seek no recognition-the ones who walk by unnoticed and
unrecognized. For their sake, Condor has given them a voice in her
collection of true war tales. She praises courage, reveres the
brave man, and respects faith in what is good. Soldiers are no
longer faceless once their stories have been told.

The latest, complete translation of the famous poem in rhyming
verse. Its author is a well-known California poetess, former
Professor of English and American Literature.
With almost two dozen collections of poetry published in the United
States and Europe, Sarah Patricia Condor-Fisher is one of the most
prolific modern poets. She masterfully uses rhyme as well as free
verse to capture perennial philosophical dilemmas of human
existence: love, death and war, but also our relationship to
animals and Nature. In this book, she portrays the stream of
consciousness of a nameless soldier during his last moments on
Earth: he has valiantly fought in a nameless war, was severely
wounded, lost his nameless friend, and is now attempting to survive
in a nameless hospital in Noland.
California Deposition Handbook: strategy and tactics, statutes and
cases, in one handy volume.

This book is the third part of "Escape." Part I describes Mark and
Pete's life in the Olympic Team in communist Czechoslovakia and
their attempted escape to Austria. Upon "Becoming Rich" (in Part
II), Mark finally leaves Italy and travels across the Continent,
through France to Belgium and Germany. He struggles hard to acquire
new documents and employment, but his dreams are stronger than any
social codes that surround him, and he cannot be contained by
borders of any state... This is the story of true and false love,
entrapment and escape, victory and loss, personal growth through
trial and error, disappointment and reacquired hope. It is set in
the tumultuous autumn of 1989, the year, which started as dark as
any in the previous decade, but ended with the fall of the Iron
Curtain. Mark is a teenage hero trying to acquire identity and free
himself from the burden of the past. Behind him, there is but
deluge of mire of the past; before him lies the proverbial Open
Road, with the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle of Freedom hovering
on the distant horizon - and Mark is willing and wanting to go all
the way He may turn back with a reproachful eye asking whether he
should not have been taught the cruel lessons life has in store for
us beforehand - but realizes that the value of life is only in its
being lived, and that no-one else is to blame if anything goes
wrong...
This book continues closely Mark's adventures, another three days
of his Escape. We have been acquainted with Mark in the previous
volume of Escape, where we left him in Venice, after the bloodshed
on the border and the adventure on the train from Vienna. He is all
alone, and we can only expect more adversities and surprises await
this former Olympic Swimmer in the few days to come. True, he is
bold and adventurous, but also hungry and penniless. Above all, he
appears to be ignorant of the fact that many people around him are
very similar...
Mark and Pete, two teenage members of the Czechoslovak Olympic
Swimming Team live their lives physically and mentally abused by
the Party coaches, teachers, even their own parents who themselves
are but caricatures of free human beings, distorted by lies and
pretensions, their fear swallowed only by the echo of their own
hands zealously clapping as the communist comrades "from above" are
pinning "Medals of Socialist Work" to the chests of their Party
disciples. Principal Chief Comrade Mucha gives orations on the
vices of capitalism while the two boys... Just follow the
unquenchable gleam in the corner of their eyes as they get on the
train to Bratislava and begin their adventure.

This is Volume IV of ESCAPE, the tetralogy whose main hero, Mark,
is an Olympic swimmer on the run from the communist Czechoslovakia.
In Volume One, Mark and his friend Peter attempted to cross the
border to Austria, in Volume Two, Mark learned his ropes in Italy,
then traveled to France and Belgium. After a failed love affair and
a strange adventure in Germany in Volume III, Mark finally finds
the love of his life and regains not only reputation but much more
than riches and wealth - in part in England, partly back on the
Continent, he achieves his goals and dreams.
This book contains a selection of workouts from an experienced
master swimmer. It is intended for those who want to keep in shape
and possibly compete in USMS Nationals like its author. If you are
over 40, fit and disciplined, yet have no more than two hours a day
to spare, often less, sometimes every other day, and if you believe
yourself to be sufficiently fit and disciplined to improve and
compete, the book is for you. This book contains basic advice on
workout planning, cycling, as well as basics of nutrition,
stretching and dry exercise routines. Its main purpose, however,
was to collecti swimming workouts and sort them out into macrocycle
periods, in order to make your pool time more productive and
enjoyable. These routines are intentionally printed in larger
letters, one per page, so that you can copy them and take them with
you to the pool. Sarah P. Condor-Fisher is a former Olympic
swimmer, coach, personal trainer and nutritional analyst.
This patriotic collection of verses is dedicated to the People of
the United States and all lovers of American culture, past and
present. It is founded on the authors deepest heart-felt feelings
and frankly speaks from experience about her love for her country
and its people. It is insightful, inciting, meaningful to every
patriot, but also to those millions of people abroad who, like its
author once, are wistfully looking up to the United States for
guidance and power where they themselves lack persuasion, means,
freedom or courage to follow.
These are the verses on Love and about Love. Anyone in need of
pleasure and gratification, anyone who would like to feel more
joyful and appreciative of the bliss they may not fully realize
they possess - of any age, inclination, proclivity or deprivation -
you all are welcome in the Realm of Love The collection is
primarily dedicated to women, who have the need to share and
confide. However, men will also benefit, though in a different way
- in learning that to feel means to understand, and that every
emotion affects our comprehension... This collection is subtitled
an "advanced course" because it loosely follows the author's
previous collection of love poems, 101 in Love (2007). These poems
are more mature both emotionally and poetically. Indeed, these are
the most beautiful poems in verse about Love written in this
century.
Known as THE CALIFORNIA CONDOR by her readers as well as critics,
Sarah Patricia Condor's poems are about things that make life
light, merry and lovely - everything that we look forward to when
we wake up in the morning.... She brings the readers undiluted
pleasure and joy in the modern life, which is all too often
overcome and polluted by the burdens of existence. Songs of the
Human Heart is divided into several sections: on animals and
flowers, on natural elements, and two parts containing deeper
thoughts on love and the human condition, and exploring the
chemistry so potent to the Human Heart, some of which we have seen
in Sarah Condor's previous books.
The author calls this book a "discursive commentary" on legal
interpretation. However, it could also be titled "The Theory of
Interpretation Not Taught at Law School." The book has two parts.
The first part contains extensive exposition of grammatical and
linguistic features of the English language from the point of view
of a lawyer-linguist whose primary concern is clarity of thought.
The second part of Interpretation focuses on legal theories and
philosophy of law, which ought to support the underlying linguistic
rationale. In order to underscore the tie between our legal system,
mythology and social custom, which form the corrective background
to our daily actions, the book is interlaced with arrogate
reproductions of classical art.

It is 1989. Nothing indicates any change in the communist regime.
The changes that are to come are going to be swift and
irreversible. Mark and Pete do not know that. Their minds have
crossed the Rockies, and their desires are stronger than any
totalitarian regime can bound. There is nothing can hold them back,
now that they have made the plan and given up their position as
members of the Olympic Team - abdicated on success, in order to
gain their dreams, but also their very selves. To escape is the
only way to survive, it seems...
Although we may come from different worlds, we have a lot in
common. We hate the Sins of this World and strive to improve. We
want to love, for this World is ruled by Love, unprejudiced by
discipline, knowledge, adroit rhetoric and Hollywood ectoplasm.
I encompass multitudes, as I too am Walt's child. My Heart is
large, my Mind carries centuries. I muse and meditate and stand by
you in your daily struggle. You may not want to read the dead poet;
you may not want to peruse a stale, insipid saga; you may not want
- but peace and quiet for the Soul...
Come with me then and we shall fly on a morrow chirp, we shall
dissolve with dew inside a rosebud stretching its arms - reaching
for You and I... The I, which is a part of You
