It was very much my intention not to state the name of any particular place in the script as I thought that the telling of the story of the Angel Babies is in itself about believing in who you are, and also about facing up to your fears. The Angel Babies is also set loosely in accordance with the foretelling of the Bibles Revelations. I thought it would be best to take this approach, as the writing of the script is also about the Who, What, Where, When, How and Why scenario that we all often deal with in our ongoing existence. It would also not be fair to myself or to anyone else who has read the Angel Babies to not acknowledge this line of questioning, for instance, who are we? What are we doing here? Where did we come from? And when will our true purpose be known? And how do we fulfil our true potential to better ourselves and others, the point of which are the statements that I am also making in the Angel Babies and about Angels in particular, Is that if we reach far into our minds we still wonder Where did the Angels come from and what is their place in this world. I know sometimes that we all wish and pray for the miracle of life to reveal itself but the answer to this mystery truly lives within us and around us, I only hope that you will find the Angel Babies an interesting narrative and exciting story as I have had in bringing it to life, after all there could be an Angel Baby being born right now.

The introduction of Common Worship services in the Church of England has gone remarkably smoothly, considering the immensity of the task. The book explores those aspects of Donald MacKinnon's theological writings which challenge the claim of the liberal Catholic tradition in the Church of England to have forged an ecclesiological consensus, namely that the Church is the extension of the incarnation. The Anglican Communion has been tearing itself apart over the issue of homosexuality since the Lambeth Conference in 1998 and rumblings of discontent stretch back years before that. Bishop John Jebb (1775-1833), Fellow of the Royal Society, was a leader in the pre-Tractarian Anglican Church: as preacher, author, orator, and prolific correspondent. His works on liturgy, scripture, and biography were published in both London and America and influenced the fledgling Episcopal Church of the USA. As a Bishop of the United Church of England and Ireland - he was Bishop of Limerick - Jebb was close to William Howley, Archbishop of Canterbury from 1828. His correspondents included govenment ministers, theologians, English and American bishops, and above all his kindred Irish spirit Alexander Knox. Other close friends were William Wilberforce, Robert Southey, and Madame D'Arblay (Fanny Burney). Jebb engaged with both High Churchmen and Evangelicals: he preached at Clapham and Hackney, and in his last years influenced early leaders of the Catholic revival, notably Hugh James Rose and William Palmer (of Worcester College, Oxford). In 1827, Jebb suffered a stroke that left him without the use of his right hand. His output when an invalid was, however, incessant: he published or edited ten volumes; and though living of medical necessity in England, his ordering of his clergy and parishes, through his vicar-general, was constant and effectual. His devotion to Ireland, too, was unimpaired by absence, and his advice was continually sought by the Chief Secretary for Ireland.
This critical and timely study of John Jebb highlights the scholarly influence, sensitive spirituality, and personal charisma of a long-neglected, pivotal leader of the Anglican Renaissance. It shows, too, his relevance to contemporary Anglican ecclesiology and integrity through his perception of the need to hold Catholic and Reformed traditions in a creative and prophetic tension. Alan R. Acheson (Ph.D., Queen's University, Belfast) served as a British Army officer 1964-72, later Headmaster of Portora Royal School and The King's School, Sydney. He is the author of " A History of the Church of Ireland, 1691-2001," and has also taught church history in Trinity College, Dublin. He was first elected to the General Synod of the Church of Ireland in 1970; and, although living in Canada, has been re-elected triennially 2005-2011. He is a former member of the Anglican Consultative Council.

This is the last volume in the set for Ordinary Time in the Christian Year and it completes a series of meditations for the whole year. For the weekday readings at Mass there is a two-year cycle. Over the two years there is a different first reading from the Scriptures whilst both years share the same Gospel readings.
