The construction sector is one of the most complex and problematic arenas within which to manage people. As a result, the applicability of much mainstream human resource management (HRM) theory to this industry is limited. The construction industry is currently experiencing accelerating developments concerning societal demands along with project complexity, internationalization and digitalization. Recent decades have seen a major social and economic changes across the developed world and consequent changes in the construction and property industries.
