Sophie's first day in Paris is like a dream - but her second is a nightmare. She is awoken by the police, led by Detective Forgeat (Eric Cantona), who have discovered a dead body in the duplex, and seem unable to distinguish Sophie from Bénédicte... 'Hijacked' (2012) stars Randy Couture, Dominic Purcell and Vinnie Jones. Paul Ross (Couture), a grizzled government agent, has been investigating an influential crime organisation known as The Tribe for a number of years. Just when he begins to feel that he is making progress with the investigation his personal and professional interests interconnect. When a private jet carrying a wealthy businessman and Ross' former fiancée, Olivia (Tiffany Dupont), is hijacked by The Tribe, Ross is the only government agent on the scene. How will he cope?

Triple bill of zombie films. 'Zombie Apocalypse' (2011) is a made-for-TV horror starring Ving Rhames in which a group of human survivors of a zombie outbreak set out to make it to an uninfected island. Ramona (Taryn Manning), Billy (Eddie Steeples) and Kevin (Gerald Webb) are almost killed when they head out to search for food. Fortunately for them, they meet a tough group that includes Henry (Rhames) and Cassie (Lesley-Ann Brandt), who take on the zombies with weapons as diverse as a sledgehammer and a samurai sword. 'Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies' (2012) is a tongue-in-cheek zombie horror in which Abraham Lincoln is distracted from his composition of the Gettysburg Address by a more pressing concern - an outbreak of the undead. Lincoln (Bill Oberst Jr.) leads a team of Secret Service agents to the area to try and contain the disaster. There is a suggestion that Lincoln may have some experience of dealing with zombies from his past and he takes under his wing a youngster by the name of Teddy Roosevelt (Canon Kuipers), who may have a role of his own to play in the American story. 'The Dead' (2010) is a zombie horror set in West Africa. Robert Freeman stars as Lieutenant Brian Murphy, a military engineer who finds himself stranded in the wilderness of Burkina Faso after a zombie outbreak lays waste to civilisation. Eventually he teams up with Sergeant Daniel Dembele (Prince David Oseia), a local soldier who has gone AWOL from the army to search for his missing son.

Triple bill of horror movies. 'Hiding' (2012) stars Ana Villafañe as a young woman attempting to begin a new life following the brutal murder of her parents. Taken into the care of a witness protection programme, a new identity is established for Jo (Villafañe) in Montana and she leaves her home in New York and her past life behind. Unfortunately, when a man known as Mr Ostrog (Dean Armstrong) appears and begins to take an interest in her, Jo could be forgiven for thinking that the protection programme has failed to keep her identity safe from the man she is due to testify against. In 'The Victim' (2011) Annie (Jennifer Blanc)'s camping trip with her friend, Mary (Danielle Harris), goes disastrously wrong when Mary is savagely attacked and Annie witnesses her murder. As she flees through the woods from pursuers Harrison (Ryan Honey) and Cooger (Denny Kirkwood), Annie comes across a small cabin inhabited by the loner Kyle (Michael Biehn), but will he help her or hinder her? 'Beneath the Dark' (2010) is a psychological thriller from first-time director Chad Feehan. Driving through the Mojave Desert on their way to the wedding of an old college friend, Paul and Adrienne (Josh Stewart and Jamie-Lynn Sigler) stop for the night at Roy's Motel. Confronted by a surreal atmosphere and their equally strange hosts, Frank and Sandy (Chris Browning and Angela Featherstone), Paul begins to feel uneasy about his new surroundings and wonders what lies in store for them.

A vulnerable student is filled with a sense of foreboding about a mysterious new arrival at a girls' boarding school in director Mary Hannon's adaptation of Rachel Klein's gothic novel. Helped to recovery by her best friend Lucy (Sarah Gadon) after the suicide of her father, sixteen-year-old Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) soon begins to feel ostracised when Lucy falls under the spell of darkly moody newcomer Ernessa (Lily Cole). When her concerns about the new student's motives are dismissed as jealousy by Lucy, a chance reading of a gothic novel triggers the belief in Rebecca that Ernessa may in fact be a vampire and is trying to steal her friend's life force. When staff and pupils at the school suddenly begin to suffer a series of deadly freak accidents, Rebecca decides to uncover the truth about Ernessa once and for all.

The original cast from the horror franchise is back for the final chapter of the Lambert family's terrifying saga, with Patrick Wilson (also making his directorial debut), Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne and Andrew Astor.

In 'The Maze' (2010), five teenagers decide to explore a corn maze one night. Unbeknown to them, however, a murderous lunatic lurks within the maze and is luring them to their deaths. Will any of them make it out alive? In 'The Goatman Murders' (2011), a group of friends on a road trip to Florida experience some car trouble and end up in the Maryland countryside where an axe-wielding murderer, who is half-man, half-goat, begins to kill them one by one. Will there be any survivors?

Crime drama starring Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, Michael Rapaport and Parker Posey. AJ (Levesque) is released from prison after serving a 13-year sentence for committing manslaughter in order to protect his friend Jack (Rapaport), a second-rate gangster and son of local mob boss Dr. Vic (Bruce Dern). AJ plans to set up his own business and lead a life free of crime but it is not long before he finds himself once again caught up in a murder, this time an accidental shooting at the hands of Jack. While trying to deal with the mishap Dr. Vic finds himself being investigated by the Louisiana Tax Board and things soon get out of hand. When Jack skips town, AJ realises that his friend's wife Claire (Posey), who has a history with AJ, and daughter Pepper (Juliette Goglia) are in danger and does all he can to save them.

Eran Creevy writes and directs this British gangster thriller set in London's docklands. Ex-con Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong) is forced to return to London from his hideout in Iceland when his son gets caught up in a heist gone wrong. His reappearance gives detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy) the chance he has long been waiting for to take down his old nemesis. But as their cat-and-mouse game unfolds, the two men end up becoming unlikely allies and working together to expose a deeper and more sinister conspiracy.

Locked inside the facility, unaware of the true nature of events, the surviving patients and staff must band together to try and find a way out of the nightmare.

Robert De Niro and Paul Dano star as an estranged father and son attempting to reconnect in this drama based on writer Nick Flynn's memoir of his difficult early life. With his con-man father Jonathan (De Niro) having disappeared out his life when he was a child and his mother Jody (Julianne Moore) subsequently committing suicide, struggling writer Nick (Dano) finds it hard to get his life back on track. Things are complicated further when, after a break of 18 years, an alcoholic and delusional Jonathan turns up at the homeless shelter where Nick now works, looking for a place to sleep. Over the coming weeks Nick wrestles with his demons as he tries to make sense of everything life has thrown at him so far.

A double bill of fast-paced action thrillers. In 'Taken' (2008), Liam Neeson stars as Bryan Mills, a former CIA secret agent living in the US, who is obliged to resurrect the skills he learned in his old job after his estranged 17-year-old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by sex slave traffickers while travelling with a friend in Europe. In the sequel 'Taken 2' (2012), Murad (Rade Serbedzija), the father of a kidnapper killed by Mills (Neeson) in the first film, makes a bid for retribution by taking Mills and his wife (Famke Janssen) hostage in Istanbul. Now their daughter, Kim (Grace), must swing into action and act swiftly to save her parents.

Ang Lee directs this Academy Award-winning fantasy adventure based on Yann Martel's Booker Prize-winning novel. Suraj Sharma stars as Pi Patel, a 16-year-old zookeeper's son from Pondicherry who finds himself stranded on a small boat in the Pacific Ocean in the company of a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Bengal tiger following the shipwreck of the freighter on which he and his family were sailing for Canada. Over the course of several months Pi manages to survive on the meagre supplies of food and water he finds on the boat, and also takes up fishing, while in his half-delirious state he muses on various aspects of animal behaviour, religion and the meaning of life. The film won Academy Awards for Best Director (Ang Lee) and Best Cinematography (Claudio Miranda), as well as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Mychael Danna) and two BAFTAs.

The complete second series of the BBC drama, adapted from Jennifer Worth's memoirs, about a group of midwives working in East London in the 1950s. In this series, it's 1958, and while Jenny (Jessica Raine) has her hands full dealing with an abused patient, fellow midwives Trixie (Helen George) and Sister Evangelina (Pam Ferris) are forced to board a Swedish cargo ship to tend to the captain's pregnant daughter.

The entire first series of the BBC comedy starring Sue Perkins as a vet afraid to tell her parents that she's gay. Although she seems to have it all - friends, success, popularity - skilled vet Sara (Perkins) she still hasn't gotten around to telling her elderly parents about her sexual orientation. With her 40th birthday approaching, she's given an ultimatum by her friends to tell her parents when they next visit in six weeks, or they will. Help is at hand, however, as in order to help the process along and allay Sara's rising dread, her friends have saved up to provide her with some sessions with oddball lifestyle guru Toria (Joanna Scanlon).
