Feng-Shui is very popular in modern times. The author analyzed using 'wood' element as means for correction and decoration of flat, office, and villa. As result, she wrote three books applying this knowledge to temperate zone, being supported by her coauthor-botanist Julia Tarasova (assistant in Botanic Garden at Saint-Petersburg State University above 15 years). The books describe ecodesign according to ancient Chinese culture. First Russian edition of the series was published by 'Piter' (Saint-Petersburg, 2004) and reprinted by 'Amrita-Rus' (Moscow, 2007). Sei es in den mikroskopisch kleinen DNAStrangen von Lebewesen oder in der Form von unvorstellbar grossen Galaxien. Diese Proportionen scheinen etwas magisches zu besitzen. Etwas, das aus den naturlichen Umstanden unseres Universums und dessen Naturgesetzen resultiert und allem Existenten innewohnt. Die Proportion, die zu diesen Formen und Verhaltnissen fuhrt, wird von uns Menschen heute der goldene Schnitt genannt. Doch was hat es mit diesen Proportionen auf sich? Was macht sie so besonders? Was sind ihre Eigenschaften? Einwegverpackungen und damit auch Einwegprodukte stehen fu r unsere schnelllebige Gesellschaft, die ihr Glu ck im Konsum zu finden vermag. Sie fordert immer mehr Konsumgu ter fu r sich, um sich zu belohnen oder u ber die Masse zu leben. All diese Gu ter mu ssen verpackt werden, um sie von den verschiedenen Orten zu den Konsumenten zu bringen. Hierbei entsteht auch ein grosser Verpackungsaufwand seitens der Industrie. Nicht zuletzt, damit das Produkt dem Kaufer gefallt und er dieses und kein anderes Produkt fu r sich wahlt. Wahrend ich mich mit den verschiedenen Verpackungsarten und deren Nachhaltigkeit beschaftigt habe, ist mir ein Thema besonders ins Auge gestochen. Es ist der aktuelle Coffee-to-Go"-Trend. Jahrlich werden 23 Milliarden Pappbecher weltweit weggeworfen, die man nicht recyclen kann. Wir verschwenden endliche Ressourcen, die wir besser schonen sollten. Viele Konsumenten sind sich jedoch nicht bewusst, dass man Pappbecher nicht recyclen kann, da diese mit einer Kunststoffschicht u berzogen worden sind, um Wasser abzuweisen. Sie mogen sagen, es ist doch nur ein Becher. Aber nichts verkorpert besser die derzeitige Situation, sowohl der Wirtschaft als auch der Gesellschaft. Im Vergleich zum Jahr 2000 hat sich genau diese Zahl um das funffache erhoht. Auch die Umsatze, die durch das eCommerce in Deutschland getatigt werden, steuern 2005 auf einen neuen Umsatzrekord zu. Voraussichtlich werden bis Ende 2005 ungefahr 8,6 Milliarden Euro Umsatz erzielt. Online Shopping gehort also mittlerweile zum Alltag. Sowohl Verkaufer als auch Kaufer durften angesichts dieser Zahlen in Jubel ausbrechen. Doch der Schein trugt, denn Jakob Nielsen fand in einer Studie 2002 heraus, dass rund 50% der eCommerce Umsatze verschenkt werden, weil die Software zu wenig benutzerorientiert ist (vgl. Fraunhofer FIT, 2004). Diese Zahl belegt auch das Experiment von Jared Spool (2001, S. 8). Dieser brachte Personen, die Produkte benotigten, zu Online Shops, die genau diese Produkte anboten. Doch nur 30% der Einkaufsexpeditionen endeten mit einem Geschaftsabschluss, 70% blieben erfolglos, da sie mit einigen Hindernissen konfrontiert wurden.
