Omhul deur die waas van geheimsinnigheid, le die huis tussen die bosse, sonder ‘n lig of enige ander teken van lewe, behalwe die vragmotor wat daar staan. Jasper se kort hare gaan staan nog regopper as gewoonlik, maar hy besluit om deur te druk met sy ondersoek. Hy is immers die leier van die Viermanskap.
