gambling should play in our society. The stimulating, jargon-free

Ask Dr. BlackJack By Sam Barrington What do the Readers Think of
"Ask Dr Blackjack"? "I struggled to stay even playing Blackjack and
thought I could be a better player. After reading "Ask Dr
Blackjack" my game really picked up when I instituted the extra
plays in the book." Phillip Cuffman - Attorney "I have travelled
all over the world gambling with my husband. We have both played
professionally and done well, thought we knew all there was to know
about Blackjack. After reading "Ask Dr Blackjack" we discovered
plays that only enhanced our winning experiences. This book is well
worth the price." Margaret Hinson - Midtown Billiards, Since 1940
(Owner) "Blackjack is a hobby of mine. I enjoy the game but had
trouble grasping some of the methods involved. After reading "Ask
Dr Blackjack" I understood why I was supposed to make certain
plays. Barrington's logic was a big boost for my game." Dustin
Monday - Computer Systems Engineer "As a recreational Blackjack
player, Barrington's insight on the correct plays has made a great
difference in how far my gambling dollars go when I visit a Casino.
I just wish I would have found this book sooner." Greg Pumphrey -
Architect "This book was extremely helpful in advancing my
Blackjack winnings but the inside stories about the Casino activity
is what made the book." Owen Ross - Retired Banker This book would
bot have been possible without all the hard work of Billy Mathys
and Arkansas Graphics, Inc.
The O'Kelly variation of the Sicilian Defence (1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 a6) is
a wonderful system for those who enjoy playing Sicilian positions
but don't want to get bogged down in heavy theory. The O'Kelly
relies far more on an understanding of general strategic ideas and
middlegame planning than on rote memorisation of opening moves. One
of the benefits of the O'Kelly is that White's natural continuation
of 3 d4, although very frequently played, permits Black confortable
development and an easy game. In Play the O'Kelly Sicilian, highly
experienced chess author and coach Andrew Martin guides the reader
through the complexities of the O'Kelly and carves out a repertoire
for Black. He examines all aspects of this fascinating opening and
provides the reader with well-researched, fresh, and innovative
analysis. Each annotated game has valuable lessons on how to play
the opening and contains instructive commentary on typical
middlegame plans. * A complete repertoire for Black against 1 e4. *
All key variations analysed in detail.
A master class in Bridge for the player who wishes to improve.

In Heart of Dart-ness, TV's Ned Boulting sets out to answer the
forty-something year old question: What exactly is darts? Is it a
sport, a freak show, a side-show, a pantomime, a riot or a party?
From Purfleet to Minehead, Milton Keynes to Frankfurt, Ned embarks
on a journey back to the beginning of the modern game. He tracks
down some of the household names who graced childhood television
screens and are still among us; names such as Andy Fordham, whose
fifty bottles of Pils a day habit led to his near death on the
oche, Cliff Lazarenko, whose prodigious drinking was the stuff of
legend even among his not exactly abstemious peer-group, Phil
Taylor, the greatest of all time, as well as the Europeans, Michael
van Gerwen, and Raymond van Barneveld. Is it entertainment, or
exploitation? To answer that question, as well as every other, he
learns that all roads lead to the Heart of Dart-ness, and the
biggest character the game has ever produced, Eric Bristow. Perhaps
darts is after all, just exactly what it sets out to be; an
anti-sport sport, a two-fingered salute to the establishment, a
piss-up in a brewery, the ultimate escape. The best night out.
