This large mine-sweeping helicopter is in service with various special units of the U.S. Navy and the Japanese self-defense forces. The Sea Dragon is a three-engine version of the twin-engine CH-53 which saw service first during the sixties and was widely used by the Marines and in special rescue versions by the U.S. Air Force. Thanks to the outstanding power of its engines this helicopter has ample capacity to carry the heavy mine-sweeping systems, which are mounted on a special hydrofoil which is dropped int the sea to detect mines.
There is no better way to test the toughness of an automobile than by
entering it in the World Rally Championships (WRC). Rally cars are
engineered to race over paved, dirt and snow/ice covered roads at
breakneck speeds and in all kinds of weather. Success in these races
virtually guarantees sparking consumer interest in purchasing the
production car. Subaru understood this when they first entered the WRC
back in 1990. Their first contender, the Legacy was succeeded by the
more compact Impreza, which was imbued with two years of tested
technology. This sports sedan generated intense popularity among
consumers looking for a street car with the guts of a WRC contender. In
August 2000, a second generation of the Impreza was born. One of the
specially tuned versions of this car was the Impreza WRX STi (Subaru
Tecnica International). Its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine adopts a
reinforced cylinder block, molybdenum coated steel pistons, high
capacity turbo and intercooler. The power of the STi version was
boosted to 280hp with a 38kgm maximum torque. This power is efficiently
transmitted to the four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, also
developed by STi. The suspension adopts rally-proven 4-wheel struts,
ensuring a smooth ride over all kinds of road conditions. Blister style
over-fenders on the powerful four-door body and an enlarged air intake
on the hood give the Impreza WRX STi, as its name suggests, a truly
impressive appearance.
Tamiya acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush painting or air-brushing. These paints can be used on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, plus all of the common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly, and can be blended easily. Prior to curing, paint can be washed away with plain water.
When airbrushing make sure to use any of the following Tamiya thinners: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077.
X designated colours have a glossy finish while XF designated colours are flat finish.
The paint can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner.
The paint can be also thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. Using Tamiya Lacquer Thinner will yield faster drying results and a harder finish.
For better paint brushing results use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) for a smoother brushstroke free finish.
When you are working the wood, it must be shaped and burrs or other
imperfections appear as happens when you are building a model. The
sanding block allows the elimination of these wooden defects, thus
achieving a smooth finish. It is a modeling tool for grinding and
creating different shapes, to which you can add sandpaper of different
weights from Artesania Latina’s catalogue.

What is an Orrery?
It is a mechanical model of the Solar System to illustrate the relative
positions and motions of planets and moons. Invented in the 18th
century, the orrery model is both an educational model and a stylish
decor.
ROKR Starry Night music box gets the inspiration from that but
simplifies it into a musical kit. You will see how planets orbit when
music plays.

These cans of spray paint are extremely useful for painting large surfaces. The paint is a synthetic lacquer that cures in a short period of time. Each can contains 100ml of paint, which is enough to fully cover 2 or 3, 1/24 scale sized car bodies.
Tamiya spray paints are not affected by acrylic or enamel paints. Therefore following the painting of the entire assembly, details can be added or picked out using enamel and/or acrylic paints.

The later models of the Pzkpw IV series have become the best known and

The motorcycle, along with the automobile, has played a big role in
transporting humans from place to place for many years. Man has always
been able to adapt his tools for specific needs, and as the motorcycle
became more and more a sport, or leisure transportation vehicle, it has
been designed for more specific purposes. The off road, touring,
motocross and speed bikes as well as the basic transportation
motorcycle can be seen in most countries, but America seems to have a
certain styling all its own. This so called "Chopper style" came about
during the mid 1960's from the many modified Harley's done by members
of the many motorcycle clubs around the country. There are many long
straight stretches of good, high speed roadways in America, and to sit
back comfortably, with feet resting on forward pedals and sitting on a
very relaxing saddle, brought about these modifications. The Yamaha
Company of Japan is well known for quality bikes around the world, and
they have been making bikes for specific areas for years.
The Yamaha XS650 Special released in 1978 had the American look, and
since then this company has marketed bikes with similar styling. The
XV1000 Virago is their latest, large bore, American styled motorcycle
and sure to become popular. Its front wheel caster angle of 32 degrees
provides an extended wheel base of 1525mm, making its straight running
ability superb. The wide, pull back type of handle bars and the forward
placed foot rests, allow the rider to sit up as if he was on a horse. A
separate looking, loose cushion seat is almost like sitting on a sofa,
and it is positioned at a height of only 715mm. The 70hp 981cc twin
cylinder is in the "V" format and transmits its power via an enclosed
drive shaft for quiet, maintenance free operation. The bike comes with
much chrome and lots of gold plating, but it is done in such a manner
that the bike does not look gaudy. It is a luxurious and comfortable
riding motorcycle, designed for the American bike enthusiast, but sure
to be well received throughout the globe. The Virago seems to have the
custom made finish and individual 60's styling that characterizes the
true "Chopper" of America.
When building a scale model, cotton swabs are often used with painting and applying decals. However, cotton swabs bought from supermarkets usually have loosely spun tips and quickly lose shape. These Craft Cotton Swabs have tightly spun cotton tips and are easy to use, making them much better suited for hobby use.
• These are industrial strength cotton swabs, and compared with those found in supermarkets, they do not fray as easily when wet or dipped in solvents, resulting in less wastage.
• These swabs are great for applying decals and panel lining onto model surfaces.
• Creating fine details and weathering on small areas becomes a breeze.
• You can also use the swabs effectively for applying any of the Weathering Master Set color schemes, such as realistic rust stains, to your model.
The Russian Yak-130, NATO code “Mitten”, is a subsonic trainer and light attack aircraft. Its cockpit can simulate the characteristics of different planes such as Su-24, Su-30 and many others. Sighting and navigation equipment allows Yak-130 to practice not only pilotage, but also all types of combat missions. If necessary, Yak-130 can also be used as a light combat aircraft, able to perform the functions of attack, reconnaissance and bombers. The plane can carry up to 3 tons of ordnance or guided ammunition on nine suspension points. It was also tested with four 500 kg KAB-500Kr underwing guided bombs. The Yak-130 is one of the best cost – effective choices for fighter pilots training and combat missions in various local conflicts.
The Lancia Stratos HF is, without any doubts, a reference icon of Italian automotive production during the ‘70s. The Italian sport car, produced for a short period of time, has become famous for its innovative design, its technical solutions and, above all, for the success achieved in rally competitions. Lancia Stratos won, for the 1974, 1975 and 1976 the World Rally Championship and a lot of Italian and European titles. In terms of mechanical lay out, it adopted the 6 cylinders V engine characterized by a displacement of 2,418 cc, and the rear-wheel drive transmission. Its unique and nice design is, even today, an attractive dream for all fans of the automotive history.
RH10116 Front CVD for Truck (2)
Although now featuring 990cc 4-stroke engine bikes, prior to 2002 the
top class of the World Motorcycle Grand Prix was the GP500, featuring
bikes restricted to 500cc engines capable of producing a maximum 150hp.
In the 1980's Honda and Yamaha dominated the GP500, with Honda racing
their legendary NSR 500. Honda's 2-stroke V4 engine loaded NSR 500 made
her first appearance in the GP500 in 1984. After a disappointing debut
season the NSR 500 lived up to all expectations in 1985, with former
world champion Freddie Spencer taking out his second world title. In
1986, whilst the NSR 500 was in the capable hands of Wayne Gardner in
the GP500 class, in Japan it flew the famous Honda racing team colours
in the domestic All Japan Road Race Championship. Burdening high
expectations for instant success, by round 3 champion Honda rider Keiji
Kinoshita and the NSR 500 had already formed a formidable combination.
Drawing out the full potential of the powerful 2-stroke 499cc V4
engine, the Kinoshita-NSR 500 combination clock d the fastest time in
qualifying to go on and win Honda's first race of the season. Taking
out a second consecutive win in round 4, Kinoshita had already climbed
to the top in the riders championship. Holding the lead for the rest of
the season, Kinoshita took out his first title in 5 years and Honda
their first ever domestic title in the 500cc class. Improving with
every season, the legendary NSR 500 continued to be used at the top
racing level until the arrival of the revolutionary 4-stroke 990cc
RC211 V in 2002.
