The witch-wife took Birdalone from her mother when she was young,
and raised the girl-child well enough, if not altogether happily.
And perhaps there was a reason for all those things: as Birdalone
matured, she took counsel from Habundia, a woman of the wood where
the witch-wife feared to follow. She warns Birdalone that the only
hope of escape is by water . . . and soon enough, Birdalone will
escape from the witch-wife. And the act of that escape will begin a
quest by sea . . .
What if you were called upon by the king of the leprechauns to
rescue Santa Claus from the wicked Banshee of Raven's Point? The
two bravest nine-year-olds in Ireland, their equally courageous
greyhound, and five leprechauns are ready to embark on a very
important mission-to save Christmas for everyone. After renewing
their willingness to once again be Rescueteers, Nanny Reilly, Ned
Franey, and Henry Daly soon discover the Banshee and her
skeleguards are on high alert awaiting their arrival. Even worse,
she has installed a wish-blocking device that surrounds the entire
Banshee's Cradle. Suddenly, all the Rescueteers' wishes and their
magical shillelagh-waving are worthless. What will they do? As they
attempt to liberate Santa and punish the almost comically wicked
Banshee, the Rescueteers soon realize that they may never return
from their mission to the Banshee's Cradle. In this charming and
magical adventure story set in the Irish mythological world of
leprechauns and banshees, the Rescueteers unearth secrets and a
deep underworld woven beneath of the Banshee's Cradle-secrets that
have the power to affect all of them ... forever.

"One day, Mr. H. M. Woggle-Bug, became separated from his comrades
who had accompanied him from the Land of Oz. Finding that time hung
heavy on his hands -- and he had four of them -- he decided to walk
down the Main Street of the City and try to discover
something-or-other of interest." So begins the adventures of the
largest Woggle-Bug you have ever seen -- if you have ever seen even
one -- in a thoroughly modern 1905 American city -- strutting down
the street, his pink handkerchief in hand, his cane swirling . . .
only to fall in love with the most stirringly enchanting beauty in
a window The Woggle-Bugs befuddled heart will lead him into a
twisting series of adventures, from a ride in a balloon to run-ins
with weasels -- and kings
No one told me that damnation could be beautiful. The Kingdom of Noctis is plagued by C orruption: a curse that spreads through dreaming. The Shadow Bringer rules from his castle in the Dream Realm, stealing souls one dreamer at a time. Only an elixir, taken every night before sleeping, can halt dreams and ward off
the curse. But for some, the allure of the Dream Realm proves too strong. Esmer Havenfall desperately wants to escape her curse-stricken village. When her sister, Eden, succumbs to C orruption and their elixir-dealing parents are accused of a horrific crime, Esmer's life unravels into a nightmare. Then she dreams of the Shadow Bringer and learns that his sinister magic might be a part of her, too. Enticed by the prospect of ending her kingdom's curse and avenging her family, Esmer follows him deeper within the Dream Realm. But the prince of darkness has a haunted past, one that might change the fate of Esmer's kingdom-and her heart-forever. Lush and vividly imagined, this seductive gothic fantasy is filled with curses, secrets, and forbidden romance, all spun together with an exhilarating thread of horror.

"Seeking the Firebird's Nest" by Edward Schwartz carries the reader
on a journey where Past and Present stream by the window of the
author's mind. Human frailty is given voice with hope to reach
happiness and teach for the Future. Esoteric anecdotes reveal his
philosophy of life developed in his personal adventures, trials and
accomplishments, all in a fairy tale format.
."Many years have passed since I was a little boy. Several times
in my life the firebird has shown me her face. Did she look like
the firebird from the old man's house or does everybody see his or
her own firebird? I do not know. But what I do definitely know is
the fact that the taste of tears caused by the firebird's
appearance is the same for all of us."
