Hilary Griffiths conducts the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra in this production of Wolfgang Fortner's opera based on Federico García Lorca's tragic play 'Bodas de Sangre'. The opera tells the story of a bride (Banu Böke) and groom (Gregor Henze) and two feuding families. When his wife runs away with her ex-lover (Thomas Laske), whose family killed his father and brother, the groom goes after them and ultimately fulfils a prophecy of crime.
David McVicar's acclaimed production of Benjamin Britten's chamber opera, recorded live during its premiere run at the Aldeburgh Festival in 2001. Paul Daniel leads the English National Opera, with performances by Sarah Connolly, Christopher Maltman, Catherine Wyn-Rogers and Mary Nelson.
A collection of live recordings of operas by Giuseppe Verdi, filmed at theatres in Liege, Palermo and Venice, and at the historical fortress of Tsaverets in Bulgaria. The operas featured are: 'Attilla', 'Luisa Miller', 'Il Travotore', 'La Traviata', 'Simon Boccanegra' and 'Falstaff'. The soloists featured include Orlin Anastasov, Ventsalav Anastasov, Darina Takova, Cinzia Forte, and Ruggero Raimondi.
Philip Glass's opera focuses on the final days of the great American icon, Walt Disney. Recorded during its inital run at Madrid's Teatro Real in January 2013, Phelim McDermott's visually vibrant production explores the troubled mind of the director, contrasting his outward public veneer with the turmoil as he confronts his own mortality. Christopher Purves takes the title role, with David Pittsinger as his brother, Roy, and Marie McLaughlin as his wife, Lillian. The conductor is Dennis Russell Davis.
Hans Christophe von Bock's documentary follows the attempts to stage an edited, one day version of Wagner's epic opera cycle at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Arriving in Buenos Aires to prepare the groundwork for the production, Wagner's great-granddaughter, Katharina Wagner, who now runs the Bayreuth Festival, discovers that the rehearsal conditions are not what she expected. At short notice, she decides to entrust the staging of the production to Valentina Carrasco, who has previously worked with the Catalan theatrical group 'La Fura dels Baus'.

A revival of Giuseppe Scarlatti's spritely comic Baroque opera, recorded at the authentically restored Castle Theatre in Ceský Krumlov where it was first performed in 1768. Voytech Spurný leads the period-instruments of the Schwarzenberg Court Orchestra, with performances by Lenka Máciková, Ales Briscein, Katerina Knezíková and Jaroslav Brezina.
The Teatro Regio Di Parma perform Verdi's opera at the Parma Festival in 2010, with a cast including Giovanni Battis Parodi, Susanna Branchini, Sebastian Catana and Roberto de Biasio. Andrea Battistoni conducts.

Transposing the tale of 'Moses in Egypt' to modern times, the production features vocalists Alex Esposito as Faraone, Sonia Ganassi as Elcia, and Dmitry Korchak as the Pharaoh's son, while bass Riccardo Zanellato makes his Rossini Festival debut as Moses. The Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Comunale di Bologna are conducted by Claudio Abbado.

Oliviero De Fabritiis conducts the NHK Symphony Orchestra in this performance of Puccini's opera from 1973. Set in Rome at the beginning of the 19th century, the opera finds former consul Cesare Angelotti (Carlo Mericiani) seeking refuge with the painter, Cavaradossi (Flaviano Labò), in the Attavanti chapel. However, danger lurks in the form of Cavaradossi's lover, Tosca (Raina Kabaivanska), whose jealous paranoia leads her to consider betraying the pair.
German soprano Diana Damrau is Konstanze, with Olga Peretyatko as Blonde and Franz Josef Selig as Osmin, in Christophe Loy's production of Mozart's opera Singspiel, performed at Barcelona's Gran Teatre Del Liceu in 2011. Ivor Bolton conducts.

Doris Soffel stars as Marfa, with Anatoly Kotscherga as the religious leader Dosifei, Klaus Florian Vogt as Andrey, and Paata Burchuladze as the charismatic Prince Ivan Khovansky.
Johann Strauss II's three-act operetta is performed by the Mörbich Festival Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Manfred Mayrhof, with Lucian Krasznec and Evelin Novak in the lead roles.

Chénier is a French revolutionary poet who pines for the beautiful Maddalena. However, he has a jealous rival in the form of servant-turned-revolutionary Gérard, who sets about plotting Chénier's downfall. Performers include Héctor Sandoval, Norma Fantini, Scott Hendricks and Tania Kross.
Alban Berg's dark, satirical opera charts the rise and fall of a femme fatale, from life as a society hostess to prostitution and eventually bloody death at the hands of Jack the Ripper. Franz Welser-Most leads the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera House in this production from 2002, with Laura Aiken in the lead role.
Rene Fleming makes her debut in the role of Grafin in this production of Strauss's opera recorded live at the Opera National De Paris in 2004. Ulf Schirmer conducts, and there are performances from Anne Sophie Von Otter, Dietrich Henschel, Rainer Trost, Gerard Finley and Franz Hawlata.
Finnish bass Matti Salminen takes the lead role in this production of Mussorgsky's opera performed at Barcelona's Gran Teatre Del Liceu in 2004. Sebastian Weigle conducts, with additional performances by Eric Halfvarson, Anatoly Kotcherga and Philip Langridge.
