The Fine Art of Crochet - Innovative Works from 20 Contemporary Artists (Paperback): Gwen Blakley Kinsler The Fine Art of Crochet - Innovative Works from 20 Contemporary Artists (Paperback)
Gwen Blakley Kinsler
R948 Discovery Miles 9 480 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Fiber artists around the world have embraced crochet as an inventive medium like never before. Expanding on the creative possibilities, using sculpture, immense site-specific installations, performance and mixed media objects, they have used crochet techniques to explore feminine craft and heritage, to explore gender codes and to show the primal creative expression represented by crochet. In The Fine Art of Crochet, Gwen Blakley Kinsler looks at the art crochet movement from 1915 onward to the Crochet Revolution of the 1960s by profiling twenty of the most innovative practitioners working today, including such internationally known artists as Arline Fisch, Leslie Pontz, Carol Hummel, Tracy Krumm, Bonnie Meltzer and Soonran Youn. Blakley Kinsler, the Founder of the Crochet Guild of America and a fiber art practitioner in her own right, examines the concepts and the awe-inspiring works of these artists whose medium of choice is crochet. Documenting these artists, in whose hands the magic of crochet creates cutting-edge art for the twenty-first century, she offers insight to those who may not have otherwise thought to go beyond the purely practical aspect of crochet. The works featured in this book represent the diverse styles, unusual shapes, and exquisite textures that characterize crocheted art today. Perhaps most importantly, each artist approaches crochet with wonder and the desire to explore its full potential.

Comparison and Contrast of Images - Christianity and Redemption: Photo Essay (Paperback): Christopher Alan Byrne Comparison and Contrast of Images - Christianity and Redemption: Photo Essay (Paperback)
Christopher Alan Byrne
R827 Discovery Miles 8 270 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Comparison and Contrast of Images is photo essay. It is set to 15 Chapters and is assembled to dozen and dozen of art and photograph. Many have been reformat to the use of Photoshop and Imageready; so to provide complex combinations in one page. Chapters include art series to consider the word defying quality of an image, and to assess the basis of images to be the proper manner to reflect of phenomenon of God. I have included comment of hypnosis theory, and to discuss an intent of healing from the art. Primary themes include to grow of such collections or to encounter deteriorations of the spirit. The book is set to redemption themes, and considers blessing, communion and baptism of the faith. The alternative consideration discover an actually not existing phenomenon; so to derive anger, attacks or attempt to slay the angels. Find art series of theme about ordeal to be found in idiosyncratic manner, and to be a parity/mirror at this to derive critical reasoning skills. The primarily dilemma is to understand a meaning of gate or provenances from the story of the Christian. You will find art and photo of the Church; although I am of opinion the text is better read of a common man experience. The attempt to slay something without known literal or actual desciption over 2,000 years will find photo essay to merely turn the pages. Such could to be read in terms to gain angelic skills, or to conclude anger in otherwise impossible attitude without words. I present art series of intelligence to be derived of images, and to offer cognitive or thought based ideals. A carrier of the mind is portrayed as a not permanent insight to religion. A theory to find a deity to be a reflection to have humanity to do so intentionally act will discover technology potrayed of advanced photo combination. You then get two attitudes; such as to dissociate one from the other. Redemption or deterioration are religion set to comparison/contrast of the images.

Analysis of Terrorism - Why?: Photo Essay 46 (Paperback): Christopher Alan Byrne Analysis of Terrorism - Why?: Photo Essay 46 (Paperback)
Christopher Alan Byrne
R892 Discovery Miles 8 920 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Analysis of Terrorism: Why is photo essay. It is composed more than 150 art and photo. The essay traces from my medical education and introduction to Saudi Princess onto years later to write theory of new forms of aircraft design. I have five years FBI undercover work, and three years ago was recruited to Afghanistan sniper duty; after contacted NSA HQ. Military Command preloaded targets and I was asked design language in reflection my opinion. I identified Saudi in quest to find me and to work new design laser and metal alloys UFO. Two years ago NSA had her assigned to return to the Persian Gulf, and given mission build intergalactic space port. I was transferred to counter terrorism duty, and toured variety of country; including direct contact primary terror suspects. Dr. Anna Korkis is younger sister Osama Bin Laden. She was raped more than 1,000 times by the USA; while hours to lead onto 9/11 to have her jaw beaten in at failure to be lady. The motive Osama Bin Laden is portrayed the essay to be acts of 'brotherly love'. I have served Presidential Commission, and to seriously have more than one report of person to claim to shoot and kill him. Contacts to Russian had offer of requirement revolution Persian Gulf nations; including Libya, Syria and Yemen, and those nation flags were to be turned over to me. Anna Korkis was to take Royal Arab name Queen Mousouiii, and at return to Persian Gulf Libya fell in revolution. The agreement by Gaddafi family to a new Libyan Government had variety emails here; so request Asylum, and humanitarian protections of new born granddaughter. Their flight from revolution and asylum nation of Oman are traced. I was contacted to seek blessing to reconstruct Iraq petroleum industry, and found extraordinary responses to themes of peace. I received IMF payment to work constructing Arab spring. The Libya themes are portrayed similar of Chicago slaying of girls, and are termed by FBI to lesbians in search to win a lottery ticket. The dilemma of those involved to fall victim of political assassination contrast Libya terror. The themes of the essay include counter terrorism duty; such as to lock down banking, scan airport travel and include direct police/FBI use of symbols. Nations sought to outlaw life style to blow up trains and rob banks. I have filed in my five years undercover work $5 billion cases. I have more than $100 million bank accounts and $150 million in legacy funds of person seeking to provide for the hungry and/or homeless. The entirety has been closed by banking to access. The essay portrays variety of terror incident; although I use crime is crime is a crime is a crime. The Saudi Queen was never permit to date, and named the eldest of Jewish families of Reuben. The slaying of Israeli at Olympics are portrayed victims to forbid to ever have an hamburger; so she was mutilated at not being a lady, or to ever eat out. She currently works to UFO designs, and has a mirror recovered by me in remote and closed Russia. She is seen symbol of an united Earth; so find metaphors of a Shangri - La Earth, and commerce was set up to Russia seen at G20 St. Petersburg. More than 100 such facility currently exist, and are valued greater than entire Earth. The essay has no provocation of violence; yet to find slaughter to claim life style of USA to be threatened of technology. The themes of lack of statement are found, and notes about the incredible poverty of those to carry out the crimes reviewed. Anna Korkis introduced herself to be Archangel Gabriel; whom Koran states to have dictated the work to the Prophet. Recommendations are made about a sealed and automatic playing tape; such as too many refusal finds. The individual is described to have sought marriage and demand of dowry noted. She was harmed to create 9/11. Transfer to Chief Engineer of the Xepher project is primary suggestion; so improve condition of Arab images, or find no comment likely about terrorism.

Each picture in this collection represents a person, place or event that spoke to me in some way, and provided reassurance that Island Soul survives and thrives even in unlikely places.

I hope that viewing them gives you a sense of happiness and harmony, a feeling of Island Soul.

The Benefits and uses of a Baby Photo Album for Twins Twin Pictures: When a family has twins things are often combined since there are two babies. One way to help the twins maintain their own sense of self is to have a few things that are just for them. A photo book is one good way to do this. When the twins are growing up it might be helpful to have three pictures albums. If you have three albums then you can have one album dedicated to each twin, and have one album with pictures of them together. This way when the twins grow up they will be able to see pictures that are just about them and not tied to the fact that they are a twin.
