Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions, affecting up to seventy million people worldwide, with post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) accounting for up to 20% of symptomatic cases. Despite this, there is a dearth of information about PTE available for clinicians. Between Sickness and Health is about illness rather than disease, and recovery rather than cure. The book argues that illness is an experience, represented by the feeling that 'I am not myself'.
