Marketed as the fastest metal cars in the world, Hot Wheels*r

the world recognize the Hot Wheels*r brand. The models produced

tires, unique to Hot Wheels vehicles, identify these models. These
original models still drive the collecting hobby today. The 221
wonderful color photographs provide a complete visual guide for
collectors. The 118 unique castings produced during this four-year

Hot Wheels literature by one of the world's foremost experts in the

The last Routemaster to ply a proper London bus route retired to
the garage back in 2005. But over 15 years later, this
indestructible bus still pops up everywhere! It's just that
nowadays merely in London Routemasters are wedding buses, Ghost
Buses, afternoon tea buses, mobile yoghurt stalls on the South
Bank... And elsewhere, all over the world, they have found new
homes and been put to the most unlikely but serendipitous uses. So
now, Harry Rosehill catalogues all the possible uses of a
Routemaster bus, from a tea room in Essex to promoting a circus in
Russia to an office in Bermuda, from offering bra-fitting
facilities to a history of the potato, not to mention making
history during the Iraq War as a Human Shield in Baghdad. Along the
way he explains how Routemasters were built to last so long, why
they've become so cherished, and footbrake valves are so hard to
come by. Funny, surprising and touching, Routemasters of the
Universe is an alternative history of a true London icon, and a
celebration of ingenuity, determination and the sheer variety of
human life.

The hey-day of the British gypsy caravan was short, only about 70
years, during which period it grew from a simple utility vehicle,
blossomed and flourished as a mobile work of art, then disappeared
from common sight. These caravans were masterpieces of woodcraft
and design, and the best of them cost as much as a small house.
Unlike any small house, almost half the cost was in the decoration.
This beautifully illustrated book presents the different types of
caravan and the great variety of art which was carved and painted
upon them and their brothers-in-transport, the old narrowboats.
While there were certain rules and conventions of style, the
decoration on and in all the types was ultimately governed only by
how much money could be spent. The caravan in particular was the
supreme status symbol among travelling people and its art the prime
means for expressing where one stood in the world.
This is a maintenance and repair manual for the DIY mechanic. It
provides all you need to know about servicing the Citroen 2CV.
When launched, the Ford Capri was revolutionary. It was a car that
set the European market alight, allowing even a buyer on a modest
budget an intoxicating whiff of the exotic whilst keeping running
costs ataffordable levels. That status eroded over time, and the
Capri sat in the classic car doldrums for many years, its true
worth unrecognized. That situation has thankfully changed, and
Capri values are rising rapidly, so care has to be taken to make
sure you end up with the best one possible for your money. This
guide takes the potential purchaser through a short initial
examination to weed out the obviously defective followed by a more
comprehensive step by step look at the body and mechanical parts,
where the clear, jargon-free text accompanied by over 100
photographs sheds light on even the darkest corners of the Capri's
construction. A unique points marking system ensures that nothing
is overlooked, and an accurate final picture of the car's condition
can be viewed in relation to the asking price.

The 3-cylinder Triumph Trident and BSA Rocket 3 were developed to
compete with Honda's forthcoming 750cc motorcycle. Initially they
did not compare well - although very fast, they lacked
sophistication and their quirky styling was offputting - and the
decision was made to suspend production. This was not the most
auspicious start, but a fightback was initiated and in 1971 the
factory race team had a triumphant year including placing 1st, 2nd
and 3rd at the Daytona 200. With over 250 photographs, the full
rollercoaster-ride history of these bikes is described, including:
how the bikes came to be, including a timeline of significant
events; a year-by-year account of the evolution of the bikes,
through the T150, T160 and Rocket 3; the story of the Hurricane;
the full racing history and, finally, the Triumph 3-cylinder bikes
today.
This book is designed to give guidance on the original, ex-factory,
specifications of the coil-sprung utility Land Rovers built between
1983 and 1990. Known to Land Rover as stage 2 models, they were
sold as the Land Rover One Ten, Ninety and (later) One Two Seven.
James Taylor has taken the first step in undertaking detailed
research into the Stage 2 models, and putting together all the
known facts in one place. Topics covered include vehicle
identification; specification changes in detail; options,
accessories and special equipment; conversions and, finally,
promotional material.

BMW's S1000RR has made its mark on the race track, both in World
Superbike and Superstock 1000 and at the Isle of Man TT, but what
is quite staggering is how much market share it has taken from the
established four cylinder supersports models from Japan
