All tones are made up of delicate shade gradients, tending towards white.Their comfortable handling and large contact surface allow large areas to be covered with a high degree of regularity.

Unison Pastels are made in Northumberland and contain only pure pigments in a cycle of related hues, instead of adding white or black to the colours. The result is intense, vibrant colour not muddied by the blending of colours.

Unison's pastels contain very little binder, making them truly soft and smooth. They are mixed to meticulous recipes and are based on traditional pigments such as cadmiums, cobalts and natural and synthetic earths.

Pastels measure approximately 3" long × 6/8" diameter (75 mm × 20mm). Sticks vary slightly due to the hand-making process.

The Caran d'Ache Neocolour I is a water-resistant wax pastel with excellent lightfastness which is useable on various materials including paper, wood, cardboard, glass, leather, fabric and stone. It can be dissolved in turpentine or used encaustically on hot metal. Can be combined with Neocolour II. This wax pastel is in the following colour: Metallic Phtalo. Green.
