Sylvester Stallone's rags-to-riches boxing drama won the Oscar for Best Film of 1976. Club fighter Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) has hit rock bottom. Having turned thirty, his boxing career is virtually over and he now makes a living collecting payments for a loan shark. Things start to look up when he begins dating Adrian (Talia Shire), sister of his friend Paulie (Burt Young). However, when world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) decides to take on a 'nobody' in his title fight, Rocky finds himself chosen. Encouraged by his coach, Mickey (Burgess Meredith), he begins training for the big fight - much to Adrian's disapproval.

Following an accident that put her younger sister Anna (Bell)'s life at risk, Elsa has been trying to keep her powers under control. When an incident at her coronation ceremony exposes her magic ability to the citizens of Arendelle Elsa flees and cuts herself off from the rest of the world, but in her emotional state she sets off a spell that casts a perpetual winter over the kingdom. It falls to Anna, with the help of mountaineer Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), his reindeer Sven and a snowman called Olaf (Josh Gad), to journey through treacherous conditions in order to reunite with her sister and find a way to break the spell. The film won Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, and won the Golden Globe and BAFTA for Best Animated Feature Film.
Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson star in this Academy Award-nominated drama based on the life of author P.L. Travers and Walt Disney's attempt to gain the rights to adapt her novel 'Mary Poppins'. In 1961, when her book sales begin to decline, Travers (Thompson) reluctantly enters into negotiations with Disney (Hanks), who promised his daughters 20 years previously that he would turn their favourite story into a movie. Initially Travers is unyielding and flashbacks to her childhood in 1907 demonstrate why her novel and, in particular, her eponymous character are so precious to her. Eventually she agrees to let Disney go ahead with the movie but will she approve of the final outcome? The cast also features Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman and Ruth Wilson. Thomas Newman received an Oscar nomination for his score.
The mutant superheroes return in this motion comic series from John Cassaday and Joss Whedon. Believing that his client Victor Kershaw (Tony Shalhoub) is a crook, Lugo enlists the help of fellow bodybuilders Adrian Doorbal (Anthony Mackie) and Paul Doyle (Johnson) in concocting a plan of kidnapping and torturing him until he signs over all his wealth. But as their plan goes into action the gang are forced to take some drastic measures to ensure they aren't caught and that their newfound prosperity isn't short-lived...

Together they must control an early Jaeger model in one last attempt to save Earth.

But the Rio gangsters are not the only ones on Dom's tail; wily federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has also been assigned to track down Dom and Brian, and will stop at nothing to corner his prey.
John Singleton's sequel to 'The Fast and the Furious' - which brought stardom to Vin Diesel. Diesel decided not to reprise his role but Paul Walker did. Former undercover cop Brian O'Conner (Walker) finds himself on the trail of another group of underground car enthusiasts in an attempt to redeem himself after his illegal escapades in the first movie. This time the location is Miami, where O'Connor has been making money out of street racing, and he is asked to bring down the drugs baron Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) in exchange for erasing his criminal record. Enlisting the help of an ex-con (Tyrese), O'Connor once again finds himself raging through the streets in stolen cars.

Joe Team must fight to wrestle back control of the world from the Commander (Faran Tahir) and Cobra spy Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), last seen disguised as the President of the United States. Outnumbered and outgunned, the Joes must pull together a plan to expose the truth and stop Cobra from taking over the world before it is too late.
Extended cut of the action comedy inspired by the Grimm Brothers fairytale starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. The film is set 15 years after the young Hansel and Gretel were abandoned by their parents in the forest and taken prisoner in a gingerbread house by a child-eating witch. The siblings managed to escape, and in the intervening years have taken advantage of their subsequent immunity to bad spells and curses to set themselves up as expert bounty hunters, becoming world-famous for their skill in tracking down and killing evil-doers around the globe. The film follows the brother and sister on their latest assignment - a campaign against evil sorceress Muriel (Famke Janssen) - which they begin to realise may be their golden opportunity for revenge of a more personal nature.
Ben Wheatley directs this jet-black British comedy in which a romantic break turns into a bloody killing spree. Sheltered teenager Tina (Alice Lowe) accompanies her new boyfriend, 30-something misanthrope Chris (Steve Oram) on an 'erotic odyssey' - aka a caravan tour of the North of England. However, when rough seas cause them to lose a boatload of the Russian mafia's cocaine their world is turned upside down and they find themselves in grave danger. The pair decide that the only way out of the situation is to pull off a daring diamond heist; no easy feat when the police and one of the world's most ruthless criminal organisations are on your tail.

Tommy, tortured by his recent experience as a soldier, reconnects with his father to some extent when he enlists him as his coach for the upcoming Sparta mixed martial arts competition, which Tommy hopes to win in order to be able to give the prize money to the family of a fallen comrade. Brendan, in contrast, needs the money to provide for his wife and children after losing his job. How will the brothers cope if the tournament forces them to go against the fraternal bond and do battle?
First part of the animated adaptation of Frank Miller's comic book following the adventures of the caped crusader. Bruce Wayne (voice of Peter Weller) has now retired from his heroic duties after the death of Jason Todd aka Robin but a ruthless gang, the Mutants, are terrorising Gotham City, leaving him with no choice but to become Batman once more. Prominent figures within the community disapprove of Batman's methods, however, and the Mutants prove tough to defeat but the hero finds an ally in 13-year-old Carrie Kelley (Ariel Winter) who is eager to become his new sidekick.
Five strangers find themselves trapped in a maze-like prison. Led by cop Quentin (Maurice Dean Wint) and expert jailbreaker Rennes (Wayne Robson) they move from room to room, discovering several traps along the way. Maths student Leaven (Nicole De Boer) ascertains that the numbers on each room reveal which is safe, but this does not prevent the death of Rennes. The group are then joined by the autistic Kazan (Andrew Miller), who also has a gift for numbers. It soon becomes clear that each of them possesses the peculiar skills necessary to escape their prison, if they don't wind up dead first.
Jean-Claude Van Damme stars in this action thriller as an ex-mercenary hired to find the kidnapped daughter of a martial arts fighter. When his teenage daughter Becky (Charlotte Beaumont) is kidnapped from under his nose on an Eastern European trip, mixed martial arts fighter Andrew Fayden (Joe Flanigan) calls in take-no-prisoners retrieval expert Samson Gaul (Van Damme) to track down those responsible. As he takes up the trail, Gaul leaves no stone unturned, no weapon unused, and sets about his task with a ruthlessly efficient detachment.
When Roger and Anita marry and their dogs Pongo and Perdita produce a litter of 15 dalmation puppies, they find themselves receiving unwelcome advances from the evil Cruella de Ville. She has plans to turn the pups into a fur coat and when Roger and Anita refuse, she hires two comedy crooks to steal them for her. Once the theft is revealed, Pongo rallies together a gang of canine friends and sets out on a mission to retrieve his young, discovering them in a lonely mansion, imprisoned along with a further 84 dalmation puppies. |
