Shin Han Pass takes its name from a subway or metro pass. Like a travel pass that allows access to unlimited modes of transportation, ShinHan Pass allows both transparent and opaque techniques to be realised within a single tube. A combination of watercolour and acrylic, ShinHan Pass also exhibits characteristics of gouache. A low amount of gum arabic and glycerin in this paint makes brush strokes more free and colours appear more saturated.
Turner's concentrated Artists' Watercolours combine the finest pure pigments with gum arabic to achieve the highest of lightfast ratings and superb transparency and flow. The pigments are painstakingly ground to a uniform fineness and are blended without any fillers.Colour: 030Series: CPigment: N/ATransparency: TransparentLightfastness: Excellent

Every batch is tested for performance qualities: vibrancy, flowing abilities, viscosity, colour value, transparency, granulation, undertone, tinting strength, clarity and particle size. For each colour, Roman Szmal select the perfect grind to match the particle size.

QoR retains the best qualities of traditional watercolours, while expanding the range and versatility of each colour. QoR's exclusive binder (Aquazol) provides a greater density of colour than conventional watercolours, offering vivid depth of colour with every brushstroke. The unique QoR formula gives vibrant, intense colours that stay brilliant even after they dry. It provides the subtlety, transparency and flow of a great watercolour, with colours that have as much vibrancy and fire as those of acrylic or oil paint. QoR offers a greater resistance to cracking and flaking than other watercolours. It also exhibits excellent re-solubility in water and glazing qualities. MaimeriBlu features an absolute purity of pigments that, together with gum arabic, compose the totality of the mixture. Imperceptible, transparent, clean. No blending powders, and no additives. Nothing harmonises or synchronises the shift between the various shades. The real value lies in the transparency of its colours and in the freshness of its washes. It is the whiteness of the paper that illuminates this type of painting. The light is behind the colour.

Today, just like in 1993, these watercolours are 'formulated to meet and exceed the highest industry standards for the manufacture of artist's paints', and every batch made is tested and analyzed for its performance qualities.

The colours are chosen according to mass tone (colour from tube), undertone (bias of colour when in a thin film), colour strength, relative opacity and the character of the pigment in water colour, ie. granulating, staining or even wash. The resultant colour spectrum ensures the largest number of colours can be mixed from the range. The optimum brilliance of every colour in the Artists' Water Colour range is unparalleled by any other water colour. Remarkably, this brilliance is combined with high permanence. |
