Covering the field of clinical phonetics and linguistics, this work
covers such areas as phonological issues in normal and defective
development; aphasia, dysfasia, dysartlia, apraxia of speech and
neurological conditions; and critical evaluations of methods in
clinical assessments, acoustic and psychological measurements for
the differential diagnosis of (motor) speech disorders. Particular
emphasis is put on hearing and central auditory processing
disorders, including their consequences for language and speech,
and for the study of the relation between psycholinguistic input
