Shoulder flexibility is important for many different skills, such as walkovers, handstands, bridges, front handsprings and back handsprings. Having good shoulder flexibility will allow you to execute these skills with ease, while bad shoulder flexibility will usually make the skills more difficult to learn. In many cases, the lack of shoulder flexibility results in incorrect technique. The lack of shoulder flexibility becomes very evident in gymnasts at higher levels, where many of the skills require great flexibility. Achieving the necessary flexibility at the higher levels require a lot of work and can be frustrating. That's why you should start working on shoulder flexibility from the day you step foot in a gym. My name is Peter Wraae Marino, and I have been teaching gymnastics for more than 25 years. I am often asked what the most important skill a gymnast should master. I always answer "The handstand." Sooner or later, you will be doing a handstand in just about every event. Many other skills, such as handsprings and cartwheels, contain a hidden handstand. Mastering the handstand will certainly make learning other skills easier and will help to reduce the learning curve. This handbook contains basic handstand exercises, all of which can be done at home or the gym. Trampoliner er med tiden blevet rigtig billige og kan anskaffes af stort set alle. Trampoliner er sjove, og de giver mulighed for, at born kan udforske verdenen af gymnastik i deres egen baghave. I vores gymnastikklub starter vi nye hold lige efter sommerferien. Det er meget nemt for os at udpege de born, som har en havetrampolin. Disse born vil oftest prove mere udfordrende ovelser uden nogen teknisk viden om, hvordan man udforer disse ovelser. Det gor mig aergerlig at se at mange af de born, der vil lave gymnastik, har brugt hele sommeren pa at udvikle gymnastik ovelser pa trampolinen forkert og har derfor faet det vi kalder "darlige vaner". Denne handbog er lavet for at imodekomme disse problemer. Handbogen gar ud fra, at du ingen viden har om gymnastik eller trampoliner. Vi vil opbygge dine grundlaeggende trampolin ovelser skridt-for-skridt fra bunden af.
