Sofft Art Sponges are specially formulated for art applications. Each sponge has a unique shape and size, designed specifically for artists and crafters. Every sponge shape is created to replicate a different brush head to allow a wide range of mark making. Different effects can be achieved with each sponge, for example, by using the sides and edges. Finished effects differ from those achieved by brushes as the brush stroke is eliminated. Sofft Sponges enable a more direct connection with the working surface, making it easier to control and predict the final marks achieved.

Sofft Art Sponges are made with a unique semi-absorbent micropore sponge material. The foam holds and releases just the right amount of colour. The sponges are non-abrasive for a smooth, uniform result.

Sofft Tools were specifically developed for use with PanPastel, but can also be used with soft pastel sticks, pencils and most water-based art and craft materials. Sofft Sponges are ideal for applying, blocking, blending, manipulating, layering, and sponging out colours.

Each product in the Sofft range was developed in laboratory, and extensively tested and re-tested in a studio; resulting in a selection of unique professional artists’ quality tools.

Sofft products are versatile, inexpensive and can be washed re-used several times (depending on colour and surface used).

Sofft Tools Knives were specifically developed for use with PanPastel, but can also be used with soft pastel sticks, pencils and most water-based art and craft materials. When used with Sofft Covers, these inexpensive tools function like a cross between a brush and a knife. Sofft Covers are made with a unique semi-absorbent micropore sponge material. The covers can be washed and re-used multiple times (depending on surface and colour used). The heads are shaped like brush heads. Knives can also be use without Sofft Covers as traditional painting knives.

Each ergonomically designed knife fits in the hand for ease of use and good control. Sofft Knives are made of a flexible, durable plastic, with handles that are shaped like traditional wooden handled knives for maximum comfort

Roberson Liquid Metals have a rich deep colour and are ideal for a range of applications and surfaces. All colours are intermixable and can be used on surfaces such as plaster, wood, paper & canvas. The paint gives the appearance of metal but will not tarnish and is not required to be varnished.

Roberson Liquid Metals are creamy acrylic colours that can be used on most surfaces including plaster, wood, paper & canvas. The rich, deep colour gives the appearance of metal but it will not tarnish and is not required to be varnished.

The 24 colour range includes 13 shades of gold, brass and bronze; eight shades of silver, pewter and platinum; a steel, a graphite and an interference, glittery colour (called Twinkle).
All colours are intermixable with each other and other acrylic paints. When mixed they add both their colour and their sparkle to other acrylic paints.

The colours are all transparent but in thicker applications they can cover quite well. The paints can be thinned with water and as the paint becomes more transparent the metallic shimmer is still visible. Clean up is with soap and water. If you intend to paint large things, the pots list the paint’s coverage as: 7 square metres per litre

Speciality Colours
Two of the 24 colour range are slightly different to the rest and have slightly different prices:

Twinkle: This variation of liquid metals produces colour changing effects with a hint of glitter. The use of different backgrounds will change the effects, for example dark backgrounds will show the glitter properties whereas light backgrounds provide a colour changing effect dependant on angle of view. It can be added to other colours to create a range of interesting effects.

Solid Silver: This variation of Liquid Metals differs from other silver shades within the range as it contains aluminium particles – this makes the liquid metal more opaque to provide excellent coverage.
