Peter Hyams directs this action movie starring Tom Everett Scott, Orlando Jones and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Though former Navy SEAL turned forest ranger Henry (Scott) may have thought his days of high-octane encounters were over, the arrival of a drug cartel on his territory suggests otherwise. The cartel, led by Xander (Van Damme), are searching for a shipment of drugs that went missing in the area and force Henry to help them. Complicating matters further is the arrival on the scene of Clay (Jones), a man out for revenge against Henry following a past dispute. Will the enemies be able to work together to thwart the cartel?

Nicolas Cage stars in this action thriller directed by Paco Cabezas. Paul Maguire (Cage) is a criminal who, with the help of his friends Kane and Danny (Max Ryan and Michael McGrady), steals a briefcase full of money from a Russian mobster. Realising that the mob would come after the money, the men decide to hide it away and meet up five years later to divide it up. Five years on and Paul, Kane and Danny meet as promised to split the proceeds of their last job together. As Paul has become fully reformed living a normal life as a doting husband and father, he prepares to go to a charity dinner with his wife, leaving his daughter at home with friends. When Detective St. John (Danny Glover) informs him that his daughter has been kidnapped, Paul ignores the police's efforts and decides to seek revenge his own way.

Mark Wahlberg stars in this action thriller set in the cut-throat world of international smuggling. Steven Seagal reprises his role as Seattle undercover cop Elijah Kane in this action thriller from the True Justice series. Now, as Hyeok tries to go straight, he finds himself on a collision course with Cheol as the two opposing brothers get caught up in a gang war that threatens to engulf them both.

The final instalment of Paul Greengrass's action trilogy, based on the novels by Robert Ludlum. The tension is ratcheted up even further as Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) races to uncover the dark mysteries of his past while a government agent is hot on his trail following a shootout in Moscow. The Kingdom (2007)
When a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Jarhead (2006)
An adaptation of former Marine Anthony Swofford's Gulf War memoir. Young recruit Swofford (Jake Gyllenhaal) joins up with the US Marines (nicknamed 'Jarheads' because of their distinctive haircuts) on the eve of the 1990 Gulf War. After a brutal spell in boot camp, during which Swofford and his fellow recruits are systematically geared up for the conflict, the Marines are dispatched to the deserts of the Persian Gulf to take part in a war that sees them required to do very little in the way of fighting. Bored and frustrated in the middle of nowhere, the young soldiers resort to a macabre sense of humour as they wait for the war to happen to them.

Rutger Hauer stars in this action comedy as a homeless man who takes vigilantism to a new scale. Arriving in a new city, our hero soon realises that it is a hotbed of crime and corruption presided over by gang bosses and bent cops who will do nothing to deliver justice. Armed robberies, prostitution and paedophilia are rife, and the only obvious way to tackle the perpetrators is to take to the streets with a 20-guage pump-action shotgun.

After a one-woman assault on the Umbrella Corporation's fortress, Alice's superhuman abilities are neutralized. Now, fleeing the Undead masses created by the T-virus, Alice reunites with Claire Redfield and her brother, Chris. Together they take refuge with other survivors in an abandoned prison, where a savage zombie mob stands between them and the safety of "Arcadia."

Escaping these bloodthirsty mutants will take an arsenal. But facing off with Albert Wesker and the Umbrella Corporation will take the fight for survival to a new level of danger.

Sullivan Stapleton, Rodrigo Santoro and Eva Green star in this action film based on Frank Miller's graphic novel 'Xerxes' and set before, during and after the events of '300' (2006). In 480 BC, Athenian General Themistocles (Stapleton) leads the Greek Army in a war against the invasion of King Xerxes I (Santoro), naval commander Artemisia (Green) and their Persian forces. Themistocles allies with the Spartans but they are still outnumbered by Xerxes' men. Who will be victorious? The film was co-written by Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad and also stars Lena Headey, Jack O'Connell and Hans Matheson.

Harry Lister Smith stars in this made-for-TV action adventure. On a remote island in ancient Norway, young Viking Erick (Lister Smith) volunteers to join a band of his fellow Norse warriors on a perilous voyage to save the captured princess Tasya (Jenny Boyd). Fighting together with rival clans, Erick must find and save Tasya from her captors before she is sacrificed to the legendary Midgard serpent.

Action thriller starring Salma Hayek in the title role as a prostitute working with police to try and bring down the criminal empire built up by her boss Taiko (Hiroyuki Watanabe). When Everly betrays her criminal ex-husband, he sends hired enforcers to torture and silence her. As the former prisoner makes her apartment a fortress fit for repelling the intruders, she must also ensure the safety of her mother and daughter who have also come under threat.

Action thriller written by and starring Steven Seagal. Rolland Sallinger (Seagal) is an LA cop who flees to New Mexico to work as a bodyguard after a near-fatal run-in with his corrupt police partner. When his client - the beautiful daughter of a wealthy businessman - is kidnapped by gangsters, he must race against time to track them down and rescue her.

Gary Daniels stars in this action thriller written and directed by Ara Paiaya. When hitman Bradley (Daniels) informs his superiors that his next job will be his last, he realises that in his line of work you cannot simply resign. When he rescues young prostitute Anna (Dominique Swain) from her violent pimp, she tells him that her sister has gone missing and begs him to help her.
