Gaspar Noé writes, directs and produces this explicit romantic drama. The story follows American film student Murphy (Karl Glusman) who has split-up with his French girlfriend Elektra (Aomi Muyock) after cheating on her with another woman, named Omi (Klara Kristin). Two years later, a worried phone call from Elektra's mother causes Murphy to spend New Year's Eve in search of his former lover as he ponders how their relationship fell apart.

Powerful drama about loyalties and the industrial workplace in early 60s Britain. Factory worker Tom Arnold (Richard Attenborough) does not share the same feelings as his fellow workers in a developing industrial dispute and refuses to go on strike with them. This results in him being 'sent to Coventry' by all concerned, including his best friend Joe Wallace (Michael Craig). The newspapers soon hear about this and the story becomes a matter of national concern, with many different parties trying to use Tom's stance to their own ends.

D.W. Griffith co-writes and directs this epic and controversial account of the American Civil War and its aftermath. It tells the story of two families, the pro-Union Stonemans from the North and the pro-Confederacy Camerons from the South, and the way in which they are both caught up in the turmoil which befalls a sleepy Deep South town when Northern Abolitionists threaten to outlaw the slave trade which has existed there for years. Things go from bad to worse when Ben Cameron (Henry B. Walthall)'s little sister dies at the hands of Gus (Walter Long), a black farmhand, and Ben dons a Ku Klux Klan mask both to avenge her death and to come to the rescue of his beloved girlfriend Elsie (Lillian Gish), who has been kidnapped by a corrupt mixed-race governor.

Due to incriminating evidence and prime motivation, Kimble is wrongly convicted for murder. However, on his way to death row he is involved in a spectacular train crash that precipitates his escape. Kimble then strives to prove his innocence whilst staying one step ahead of the dogged US Marshal Sam Gerard.

Firewall (2006)
Jack Stanfield is an average family man in Seattle who heads up the hi-tech security team at his local bank. But following a seemingly trivial case of identity theft, Jack's life is turned upside down when his wife and two children are kidnapped. The ransom is $100 million which the kidnappers, led by Bill Cox, want Jack to obtain for them via his expert computer skills. Initially compliant, Jack is soon irked by Cox and his cronies to the point where he decides to risk everything to get his family back and bring the bad guys to justice.

42 (2013)
A biographical drama about African-American baseball player Jackie Robinson, here portrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman. In 1945, having been spotted by a scout, Robinson is signed by Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey and becomes the first black man to play in the Major League. Despite his talent, Robinson is met with opposition, even from his fellow players, because of his race. As he tries to keep his own frustrations in check, he excels in his sport and gradually receives the recognition he deserves.

Frances McDormand and Brian Cox star in this political thriller directed by Ken Loach. After American human rights lawyer Paul Sullivan (Brad Dourif) is shot dead at a police roadblock in Belfast his girlfriend Ingrid (McDormand) comes to believe that he was murdered because he discovered sensitive information regarding the troubles in Northern Ireland. To calm the growing outrage, the British Government assigns a top ranking police inspector (Cox) to investigate, and together with Ingrid he uncovers a trail of corruption, cover-ups and violence.

Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron star in this fourth instalment of the post-apocalyptic action series from film-maker George Miller. Set in a desolate desert wasteland, the story follows Max (Hardy), who, following the murder of his wife and child, has been captured by a gang, led by the tyrannical Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). In order to escape Max teams up with Imperator Furiosa (Theron), a woman who wants to travel across the desert and find her way back home. But, after liberating five female captives from Joe's clutches, she too must escape from the crazy gang leader and his henchmen. Can they make it across the desert in one piece? The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

German drama written and directed by Helma Sanders-Brahms charting a couple's relationship before, during and after the outbreak of the Second World War. After marrying his pregnant girlfriend Lene (Eva Mattes) the day before war breaks out, Hans (Ernst Jacobi) is conscripted to fight for his country in the Nazi army. Now alone in Berlin, Lene gives birth to their daugher Anna (Anna Sanders) but becomes increasingly frustrated with her absent husband's minimal visits home while on leave. After her house is destroyed during the frequent air raids, Lene takes Anna and leaves the capital to join her family in the countryside. Struggling to provide for her daughter, Lene is relieved when she is again reunited with Hans following the end of the war, but in its aftermath, the couple find it difficult to rekindle their love for one another.

Martial art expert Kurt Sloane (Jean-Claude van Damme) learns some unorthodox fighting techniques in preparation for a deadly competition in Thailand, where he hopes to avenge his brother who was paralysed in a previous match.

Australian zombie horror. Following a meteor shower a vast number of the population turn into flesh-eating zombies. When his wife and daughter succumb to the apocalypse, mechanic Barry (Jay Gallagher) makes his way across the outback to rescue his sister Brooke (Bianca Bradey), though he is unaware she has been kidnapped by an experimental scientist known as The Doc (Berryn Schwerdt). Along the way Barry meets fellow survivor Benny (Leon Burchill) and the two team up as they battle their way through hordes of zombies.

Simone Young conducts the Hamburg Philharmonic and the Chorus of the Hamburg State Opera in this production of Aribert Reimann's opera based on Shakespeare's tragedy. Bo Skovhus leads the cast which includes Katja Pieweck, Hellen Kwon, Siobhan Stagg and Erwin Leder.

Andris Nelsons conducts the Lucerne Festival Opera in this performance of Brahms' works, recorded in August 2014. The works featured are: 'Serenade No. 2 in A Major', 'Alto Rhapsody' and 'Symphony No. 2 in D Major'.

An adaptation of Jacques Offenbach's opera by Emeric Pressburger and Michael Powell. The story follows the poet Hoffman (Robert Rounseville) as he attends a performance of the ballerina Stella (Moira Shearer) and proceeds to tell tales of his love for three women: the doll Olympia (Shearer), the courtesan Giuletta (Ludmilla Tcherina) and the frail singer Antonia (Ann Ayars). But as the elder Hoffman recounts the tales from a tavern, his quest for the eternal woman is always thwarted by evil.
