Told from the perspective of Second Officer Charles Lightoller (Kenneth More), the story follows the supposedly 'unsinkable' ship as she embarks on her maiden voyage and ultimately founders in the North Atlantic Ocean. The ship leaves port and soon Captain Smith (Laurence Naismith) is given several ice warnings but decides not to decrease the Titanic's speed. When the ship hits an iceberg late at night on April 14th the situation looks bleak, especially with the realisation that there are not enough lifeboats to carry all on board. The Titanic's distress call is received by the Carpathia but she is four hours away and unlikely to reach the ship before it sinks. Chaos breaks out both above and below deck as the passengers and crew race against time for their survival.

But Lydia is still bored, so Giovanni takes her to a friend's elegant cocktail party, where they both stay all night, drifting from one flirtation to the next, uninterested in each other. The director of the film, Damien Cockburn (Steve Coogan), decides to leave the spoiled actors in the middle of the jungle - and, in an attempt to salvage some footage from the wreckage of the doomed project, installs hidden cameras to follow their escape. The actors are left with only a map and a scene listing to guide them to the helicopter waiting at the end of the jungle. Along the way they encounter a series of obstacles including land mines and an international heroin-dealing ring. The ensemble cast includes Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Nick Nolte, Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey.
