One of television's most critically acclaimed programmes, The Wire addresses the seedy side of Baltimore’s finest, looking into money, drugs, politics and murder. Told from the point of view of both the police and their targets, the series captures a universe of subterfuge and surveillance, where easy distinctions between good and evil, and crime and punishment, are challenged at every turn. A study on urban life in one of America’s toughest cities, each season of The Wire has focused on a different aspect of Baltimore, starting with the police force and the drug trade, then moving on to City Hall, the education system and concluding with the media.
All eight episodes from the second series of the TV comedy drama, centering on a mafia mobster's attempts to start a new life in Lillehammer, Norway. After testifying against his old buddies in the mob, New York gangster Frank 'The Fixer' Tagliano (Steve Van Zandt) enters the FBI witness protection programme, choosing to be relocated to Lillehammer, Norway (he liked the look of it when he saw the 1994 Winter Olympics on TV). Now Norwegian-American immigrant Giovanni Henriksen, he quickly sets about making his new life as comfortable as he can by casually employing a mix of blackmail, extortion and threats to further his ambitions. Unfortunately for Frank, however, his arrival in the town has not gone entirely unnoticed, as the local police soon begin to take an interest in him. The episodes are: 'Millwall Brick', 'Out of Africa', 'Fiddler's Green', 'The Black Toe', 'The Island', 'Special Education', 'The Freezer' and 'Ghosts'.

Katniss soon realises that to save the ones she loves she will have to join the revolt, led by President Coin (Julianne Moore), and become a symbol of hope for the rebels. With help from her friends and allies, including Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) and Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Katniss sets out to bring down the Capitol and President Snow once and for all.
Gary Shore directs and Luke Evans stars in this fantasy horror origin story. The film follows Vlad Tepes (Evans) and his struggle to protect his family and his people from the malevolent Ottoman sultan Mehmed (Dominic Cooper), whose ever-expanding empire has put Vlad's homeland in danger of being conquered. Desperate to find a solution, Vlad seeks the help of a mysterious man (Charles Dance) who grants him the powers to defeat his enemy. But do these newly-gained powers come at too high a price?

While holidaying in Barbados, widowed Foreign Office employee Judith (Julie Andrews) begins a romance with handsome Russian military attaché Feodor (Omar Sharif). Gabe Turner writes and directs this British thriller about two generations of London gangs. Retired gangster Mitch (Doug Allen) is forced to return to his previous occupation when his old friend is attacked and left for dead. Learning to adapt to the new way of doing things Mitch goes on a vengeance spree teaching the young guns some of his old tricks along the way. The cast also includes Harley Alexander-Sule, David Essex and Vas Blackwood.

Sword-and-sandal action epic directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson as the titular hero. After successfully completing the twelve labours set out for him by King Eurystheus as a means of atoning for previous sinful actions, Hercules is now a legendary mercenary in Greece. Using his reputation and strength to his advantage, he is able to overcome the most powerful of enemies. However, when he is asked by the Thracian King (John Hurt) and his daughter to defeat a particularly savage warlord, Hercules finds himself having to endure the most difficult task set for him yet.
Choreographer Bouba Landrille Tchouda reinterprets Tchaikovsky's ballet with hip hop for this performance by the Campagnie Malka. Tchaikovsky's classical score features alongside music from Yvan Talbot.
Amma Asante directs this British period drama inspired by the 1779 painting of Dido Elizabeth Belle and her cousin Lady Elizabeth Murray. Dido (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) is the daughter of English Naval captain Sir John Lindsay (Matthew Goode) and an African woman. Sent to England to be raised on the Kenwood House Estate by her uncle, Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson), Dido quickly realises that her ethnicity is problematic in upper class society. Though her cousin Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) accepts her friendship immediately and the girls become inseparable, Lord Mansfield and Lady Mansfield (Emily Watson) are tormented by the question of Dido's social status. As Dido points out, it leaves her in a somewhat lonely position to be deemed 'too good' to dine with the servants and 'not good enough' to entertain visitors, but when she meets dashing young lawyer John Davinier (Sam Reid) she discovers an Englishman who accepts her as she is and offers his hand in marriage. Can the couple's love overcome the conventions and prejudices of the time?
Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac star in this thriller adapted from Patricia Highsmith's novel by Hossein Amini, who makes his directorial debut. In 1962 wealthy married couple Chester and Colette MacFarland (Mortensen and Dunst) are in the Acropolis of Athens, Greece, when they meet shady tour guide Rydal (Isaac). Rydal is immediately taken with the beautiful Colette and doesn't hestitate when the couple invite him to dine with them. Later in the evening, however, he begins to realise that Chester is hiding a dark secret and soon finds himself embroiled in murder. Rydal helps the MacFarlands evade the authorities but his feelings for Colette cause tension between him and Chester, making the already precarious situation even more dangerous.

Brian Donlevy, Richard Davalos and Sid Haig star in this 1960s action drama about figure-eight track racing from writer/director Jack Hill. Following his arrest, drag racer Rick Bowman (Davalos) is bailed out of jail by promoter Grant Willard (Donlevy) who offers him a sponsorship in figure-eight racing. Bowman accepts and finds himself pitted against the deranged Hawk Sidney (Haig) on the track. Despite faring poorly in his first races, Bowman becomes determined to take over from Sidney's top spot no matter what it costs.
Offbeat, grisly black comedy from the Coen brothers. Minnesota car salesman Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), deeply in debt, arranges for the kidnapping of his wife in order to obtain a sizeable ransom from her father, to pay off both his henchmen and his debts. However, all does not go according to plan. Frances McDormand won the Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of the heavily pregnant Police Officer assigned to the case, while the film also won Best Original Screenplay.
