Mariss Jansons conducts the Chor and Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in this performance of Verdi's work, recorded in 2013 at the Golden Hall of Vienna's Musikverein. The soloists featured are soprano Krassimira Stoyanova, mezzo-soprano Marina Prudenskaja, tenor Saimir Pirgu and bass Orlin Anastassov.

Keanu Reeves stars in this dark-tinged romantic comedy. Henry (Reeves) is an unambitious man who sleepwalks his way through life and his dull job at a highway toll booth. His life changes abruptly when he stumbles into the midst of an armed robbery crime scene, is mistaken by police for one of the robbers and is thrown into jail. There he shares a cell with career criminal Max (James Caan), who becomes a mentor of sorts, prompting an epiphany in Henry. On his release, Henry joins forces with Max to commit the crime for which he figures he has already done the time, and becomes romantically entangled with local TV presenter Julie (Vera Farmiga), who literally runs into him at the crime scene.

Clint Eastwood directs this feature film adaptation of the multi award-winning Broadway musical about 1960s pop group The Four Seasons. John Lloyd Young reprises his stage role as Frankie Valli, who is discovered by guitarist Tommy DeVito (Vincent Piazza), and along with bass player Nick Massi (Michael Lomenda) and keyboardist/songwriter Bob Gaudio (Erich Gergen) forms The Four Seasons. They sign a contract with producer Bob Crewe (Mike Doyle) and gradually find success but relationships within the band become strained over time. Narrated by each group member in turn, the story follows their rise to fame and eventual break-up, as well as the personal troubles they face along the way. The film features songs such as 'Rag Doll', 'Sherry', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' and 'Who Loves You'.

All 12 episodes from the eighth series of the relaunched sci-fi adventure show. Accompanied by his latest companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman), the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) sets out on another rollercoaster round of adventures in time and space, encountering a dinosaur in Victorian London, Robin Hood, ghosts and a supposedly good Dalek. Trilogy of war dramas from film-maker Ryan Little. In 'Saints and Soldiers' (2003), set in Belgium in December 1944, German troops open fire on unarmed American prisoners of war and provoke the historic Malmedy Massacre. Four soldiers trapped behind enemy lines discover a stranded RAF pilot who holds the key to German intelligence which could save thousands of American lives. The five men must battle through the bitter winter landscape, to smuggle their precious cargo from the clutches of the enemy. The prequel 'Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed' (2012) follows the journey of a group of airborne infantry soldiers who are parachuted into occupied France in 1944. The Parachute Regimental Combat Team jumped into the south of France on the 15th of August 1944, landing behind enemy lines. The men's mission was to help clear a path for the main bulk of British and US soldiers advancing towards Berlin. However, landing in occupied territory is always a dangerous business and the soldiers soon find themselves fighting in close combat with German troops and teaming up with members of the French resistance who seek their help. The third film 'Saints and Soldiers: The Void' (2014) is set during the final stages of the Second World War in Germany where a group of American troops must try to overcome racial barriers in order to defeat the Nazi's. Despite their reluctance, the predominantly white American crew are forced to turn to the expericenced African American SGT Jesse Owens (K. Danor Gerald). However, their faith is put to the test when war escalates and tension rises, with hundreds of lives at stake.

Box set of eight classic Clint Eastwood films. In 'Play Misty for Me' (1971) Dave Garland (Clint Eastwood) is a Californian DJ who runs a late night call-in show, and receives regular requests from a female caller for Erroll Garner's 'Misty'. The fan, Evelyn Draper (Jessica Walter), turns out to be a maniacal stalker. In the western 'High Plains Drifter' (1973) the unwelcome arrival of a stranger (Eastwood) in the town of Lagos causes resentment and fear among the locals. However, when they come under threat from a band of escaped convicts, it is to the stranger that the townsfolk turn for salvation. In 'The Beguiled' (1970), during the American Civil War, a wounded Union soldier (Eastwood) is taken in by the all-female staff of a Confederate Louisiana girls' school as their 'prize'. However, the soldier cunningly plays the women off against each other, working on their sexual frustrations and biding his time until he can make an escape. 'Breezy' (1973) is an Eastwood-directed effort in which Breezy (Kay Lenz) is a teenage hippy hitchhiker taken advantage of by a ruthless rotter who wants to use her for sex. She escapes in a remote area and meets kindly middle-aged man Frank Harmon (William Holden) whom she hopes will take her in. Harmon is (rightfully) reluctant and his worst imaginable scenario comes true when the impressionable teen falls in love with him. In 'Joe Kidd' (1972) Eastwood plays a drunken tracker coerced by American business tycoon Robert Duvall to go in search of Mexican agitator John Saxon. The film is scripted by renowned crime writer Elmore Leonard. In 'Two Mules for Sister Sarah' (1969) a gold-digger (Eastwood) in old Mexico shows his fundamentally noble nature by saving a 'nun' (Shirley Maclaine) from being raped. She turns out in fact to be a prostitute, and the odd couple team up, facing continual confrontation with the French forces. In 'Coogan's Bluff' (1968) Eastwood is Arizona deputy Walt Coogan, sent to New York city to escort a prisoner home. The prisoner isn't ready to be transferred back to Arizona so Coogan cuts a few corners. This helps the prisoner escape and, after Coogan clashes with the Sherrif McElroy (Lee J. Cobb), he is ordered back to Arizona. In 'The Eiger Sanction' (1975) college lecturer Jonathan Hemlock (Eastwood) tops up his university paypacket by carrying out the occasional assassination. His latest assignment involves joining a climbing expedition up the Eiger, identifying the Russian killer amongst the group, and then neutralising his threat.

All eight episodes of the critically-acclaimed US television series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The series follows two Louisiana homicide detectives, Rustin 'Rust' Cohle (McConaughey) and Martin 'Marty' Hart (Harrelson), as they hunt for a serial killer over a 17-year period. The episodes are: 'The Long Bright Dark', 'Seeing Things', 'The Locked Room', 'Who Goes There', 'The Secret Fate of All Life', 'Haunted Houses', 'After You've Gone' and 'Form and Void'.

Silent documentary following the 1924 British Mount Everest Expedition during which mountaineers Andrew Irvine and George Mallory met their untimely deaths. The expedition marked the third attempt to make the first ascent of the mountain. It remains under debate whether Irvine and Mallory made it to the summit but they were last seen 800 feet from the top before they disappeared. Mallory's body was discovered in 1999 but Irvine's has never been found. The film was recorded by Captain J.B.L. Noel and captures the progress of the expedition.

The third volume of a three-part set featuring all of Giuseppe Verdi's operas in celebration of the composer's bicentenary in 2013. Each performance features its own ten minute introduction. The operas included are: 'I Vespri Siciliani', 'Simon Boccanegra', 'Un Ballo in Maschera', 'La Forza del Destino', 'Don Carlo', 'Aida', 'Otello' and 'Falstaff'.

Pixar animated sequel to 'Monsters, Inc.' (2001) chronicling the university years of James P. 'Sulley' Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) and Michael 'Mike' Wazowski (Billy Crystal). After meeting in college, Sulley and Mike soon become rivals. When they are rejected from the 'Scare' programme, however, the two put their differences aside and work together in order to fulfil their ambition to become scarers. In the process they join a fraternity of fellow rejects and compete in the Scare Games to prove their worth. The film also features the voice talents of Helen Mirren and Steve Buscemi.

Schoolboy Kevin is rescued from his dull suburban life when a gang of dwarves emerge from his wardrobe and carry him off through space and time. Their travels bring them into contact with some leading historical figures; John Cleese is Robin Hood and Sean Connery is Agamemnon in this bizarre comedy made by several Monty Python members.

A double bill of action blockbusters. In 'The Expendables' (2010), an ensemble cast of action stalwarts including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke join forces to bring down a South American dictator. In the sequel 'The Expendables 2' (2012), Willis, Stallone and Statham reprise their roles, as Mr Church (Willis) reunites the formidable Expendables team, plus new member Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth), for what should be a straightforward job. But when one of their number is murdered by adversary Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), the team's quest for revenge finds them pitted against an unexpected rival.

Supernatural teenage drama directed by Richard LaGravenese and adapted from the novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. A mysterious young girl, Lena (Alice Englert), moves to a new school in Gatlin, South Carolina, quickly grabbing the attention of local boy Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich). When it is revealed that Lena is in fact a Caster with magic powers and only has a short time before she faces 'claiming' by either the light or dark side, the pair set out to find a way to prevent her from going evil, as her mother did. As they do, they unlock the secrets of their past and discover they share a connection through history.

Gary Ross directs this sci-fi action film based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins. Jennifer Lawrence stars as 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a citizen of the totalitarian post-apocalyptic country of Panem, formerly the United States. Every year, the all-powerful ruling agency known as the Capitol selects one boy and one girl from each of Panem's 12 impoverished rival districts to fight to the death on live national television in a contest known as 'The Hunger Games', in which the winner is given food to feed their entire district for a year. When her younger sister Primrose (Willow Shields) is selected as a contestant, Katniss steps up to take her place in the match. Under the tutelage of inebriated former champion Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Katniss goes into training for the fight of her life.

Unconventional urban drama written and directed by Sally El Hosaini. Rashid (James Floyd) wants more for his younger brother, Mo (Fady Elsayed), than the life Rashid has furnished himself on the gangland streets of Hackney. Although heavily involved with a local gang, Rashid saves the money he gains by selling drugs as a way of hopefully putting Mo through college. However, Mo admires his older brother and wants to follow in his footsteps; but when he becomes involved with the gang himself, Mo becomes victim to a mugging as a result. Throughout the film, the two brothers are forced to confront their respective identites while struggling to survive on the streets of London.

A remake of the 1937 classic, this time as a musical about a Hollywood couple going through bad times. Would-be singer Esther Blodgett (Judy Garland) finds herself taken under the wing of fading star Norman Maine (James Mason) when she saves him from making a drunken fool of himself on stage. Changing her name to Vicki Lester, Esther becomes a star, and is soon married to Norman. However, as Vicki's star rises, so Norman's falls. Harold Arlen/Ira Gershwin songs include 'The Man That Got Away'.

David Lightman (Matthew Broderick) is a young computer whizz who hacks into what he believes is a new line of video games, little knowing that it is in fact NORAD, America's defence program. He inadvertently creates a hostile global situation, placing the world on the brink of nuclear war. Together with his girlfriend Jennifer (Ally Sheedy) and a misanthropic computer expert (John Wood), David must fight to prevent an atomic meltdown.

Double bill of silent features from the 1920s. 'Battleship Potemkin' (1925), masterpiece of Russian silent film pioneer Sergei M. Eisenstein, is a dramatised account of the naval mutiny and street riots at the sea port of Odessa that sparked off the 1905 Russian Revolution. When the crew of the Potemkin protests after being given rotten meat as rations, the captain responds by ordering the execution of the dissidents. Outrage at this injustice quickly ignites and the townspeople have soon surrounded the harbour in a mass demonstration - but the scene gives way to tragedy and brutality as the authorities move in to quell the uprising. In British documentary 'Drifters' (1929), which was influenced by and originally screened alongside 'Battleship Potemkin' in the UK, director John Grierson looks at the North Sea herring fleets and the men who worked them. The film pays particular attention to how the once traditional industry has become a more modern enterprise.
