The recording includes the title song, one of the Group's best
known.
Waar is
die hemel? Hoekom laat God toe dat virusse oorneem? Kan God enigiets
doen? Kan Hy dinosourusse weer laat lewe? As God alles weet, hoekom
moet ek bid?
Dit is soms moeilik om te antwoord op eerlike soos dié. Bybelvrae en
antwoorde vir kinders is ’n handige hulpmiddel vir saamlees of
selflees. Dave Strehler, ’n gerespekteerde skrywer met jare lange
ervaring in kinderbediening, gee toepaslike Bybelgebaseerde antwoorde
op meer as 80 vrae wat kinders vra oor God, geloof en die Bybel.
Elke vraag bevat genoegsame Skrifverwysings, ʼn kort bespreking asook ʼn
interessante veelkeuse-vraag wat kinders self kan antwoord. Twee

The wisdom and encouragement of Scripture are found in this
convenient, user-friendly edition of the NIV Bible, ideal for
evangelism and missionary work. Perfect for those reading the Bible
for the very first time, the NIV Outreach New Testament Large Print
helps explore what God's Word has to say to you and the rest of his
people. This affordably priced Bible includes the New Testament
text of the accurate, readable, and clear New International Version
in a large 10.5-point type size in a softcover binding.
This volume, the first in a major new series which will provide
authoritative texts of key non-canonical gospel writings, comprises
a critical edition, with full translations, of all the extant
manuscripts of the Gospel of Mary. In addition, an extended
Introduction discusses the key issues involved in the
interpretation of the text, as well as locating it in its proper
historical context, while a Commentary explicates points of detail.
The gospel has been important in many recent discussions of
non-canonical gospels, of early Christian Gnosticism, and of
discussions of the figure of Mary Magdalene. The present volume
will provide a valuable resource for all future discussions of this
important early Christian text.

Pastors and leaders of the classical church--such as Augustine,
Calvin, Luther, and Wesley--interpreted the Bible theologically,
believing Scripture as a whole witnessed to the gospel of Jesus
Christ. Modern interpreters of the Bible questioned this premise.
But in recent decades, a critical mass of theologians and biblical
scholars has begun to reassert the priority of a theological
reading of Scripture. The Brazos Theological Commentary on the
Bible enlists leading theologians to read and interpret Scripture
for the twenty-first century, just as the church fathers, the
Reformers, and other orthodox Christians did for their times and
places. In the sixth volume in the series, Phillip Cary presents a
theological exegesis of Jonah.

With the extraordinary growth of Christianity in the global south
has come the rise of "reverse missions," in which countries in
Asia, Africa, and Latin America send missionaries to re-evangelize
the West. In The Spirit Moves West, Rebecca Kim focuses on South
Korea as a case study of how non-Western missionaries evangelize
Americans, particularly white Americans. Known as the "Asian
Protestant Superpower," South Korea now sends more missionaries
abroad than any country except the United States; there are
approximately 22,000 Korean missionaries in over 160 countries.
Drawing on four years of in-depth interviews, participant
observation, and surveys of South Korea's largest
non-denominational missionary-sending agency, University Bible
Fellowship, Rebecca Kim gives us an inside look at reverse
missions. Conducting her research both in the US and South Korea,
she studies the motivations and methods of Korean evangelicals who
have sought to "bring the gospel back" to America since the 1970s.
She also explores how a mission movement from the global South
could evolve over time in the West. The Spirit Moves West is the
first empirically-grounded examination of a much-discussed
phenomenon, which concludes by considering what the future of
non-Western, especially Korean, missions will bring.

Will their faith prove to be stronger than their fear? Sensible and
independent, Cassie Barton never anticipated being on her own at
thirty-two. But after the death of her father and the marriage of
her sister, she's found joy in her work as a seamstress. When a
minor accident leaves her unable to sew, she decides to use her
time to compile a book of stories about the men working on the
Santa Fe Railroad. But worry begins to grow in San Marcial as
Mexican revolutionaries set out to destroy the railroad--and put
many lives in danger. With Europe at war and his longtime friend
Cassie injured, railroad worker Brandon DuBarko is burdened by his
troubles. He promised Cassie's father he would watch over her, but
as their comfortable friendship slowly transforms into something
deeper, he feels trapped by a secret from his youth. When a
vengeful man reappears in Brandon's life, intent on causing
conflict, Brandon must face his past before he can move forward. As
the danger intensifies, Cassie and Brandon must rely on God to
overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of a brighter future.
"The poignant rendering of transformation through faith will
resonate with inspirational readers."--Publishers Weekly on Beyond
the Desert Sands
Mom, I have a question: Does God think boys are more important than
girls, because all we ever learn about in church are boys? This
question, from Lauren L. Nelson's 7-year-old daughter, led her to
write SHEROES of the Bible. Many have heard of the remarkable men
in scripture but lesser known are the dynamic women who trusted God
and did astonishingly courageous things when they chose faith over
fear. SHEROES of the Bible awakens girls to the reality that God
can use them to radically change the world. Within, Lauren shares
the 20 stories of 26 women from the Bible who became SHEROES when
they chose to trust God in difficult situations. As its name
portrays, SHEROES of the Bible provides strong female role models
who are relevant to past, present, and future generations. Lauren
presents a well-rounded collection of stories with ethnically
diverse illustrations that are sure to impact children all over the
world. SHEROES of the Bible is needed in every household, church,
and discipleship program around the globe. Girls, young and old,
will be inspired to become the dynamic, strong women that God
created them to be. Included in each story are three to four
devotional questions to help children personally apply what they
have learned so that their faith becomes their own personal
experience.
