Oliviero De Fabritiis conducts the NHK Symphony Orchestra in this performance of Puccini's opera from 1973. Set in Rome at the beginning of the 19th century, the opera finds former consul Cesare Angelotti (Carlo Mericiani) seeking refuge with the painter, Cavaradossi (Flaviano Labò), in the Attavanti chapel. However, danger lurks in the form of Cavaradossi's lover, Tosca (Raina Kabaivanska), whose jealous paranoia leads her to consider betraying the pair.

Collection of highlights from the first ever Salzburg Biennalle, a festival for new music founded in 2009 by Hans Landesmann. The festival took place in March and featured a variety of musical performances, including orchestra and chamber music, as well as lectures, films and other multimedia projects.

Pianists Nelson Goerner, Kevin Kenner and Janusz Olejniczak perform with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, conducted by Frans Brüggen. The footage also features interviews with the soloists and orchestra leader Marc Destrubé.
