Stuffy parents in Victorian London are looking for a nanny, but the children write their own ad which is torn up and thrown into the fire. Miraculously, the paper reassembles and floats up the chimney flue, and along comes Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) on her umbrella/parachute. She brings fun and magic to the children's lives, as well as a guiding hand. The film won Oscars for Best Actress, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Song and Best Visual Effects.

He makes friends with Green Martian Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and falls for humanoid princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins), a Red Martian he saves from a hostile Tharks tribe.

With his strength and fighting skills enhanced because of the lower level of gravity, he leads the Martians in a war against their long-time enemy, the Zodanga state, and attempts to save them from extinction when their air supply shuts down. Steven Spielberg directs this drama based on Michael Morpurgo's novel about a boy who searches for his horse after it is taken away to serve in World War I. Growing up in Devon, Albert (Jeremy Irvine) trains his horse, Joey, and forms a strong bond with the animal. Joey is taken from his owner, however, when he is sold to the French as a war horse. Joey touches the hearts of those he meets as he serves in the cavalry. Too young to become a soldier himself, the determined Albert sets off on a journey in the hope that he can save his beloved horse from the horrors of war. Benedict Cumberbatch, David Thewlis, Emily Watson and David Kross co-star.

Triple bill of feature-length Disney animated adventures following Winnie the Pooh (voice of Jim Cummings) and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. In 'Winnie the Pooh' (2011) Pooh finds a note from Christopher Robin (Jack Boulter) which leads the bear to believe his friend has been kidnapped by an elusive creature called the Backson. Joined by Piglet (Travis Oates), Tigger (Cummings), Eeyore (Bud Luckey) and the rest of the gang, Pooh sets out on a journey to save Christopher and on the way searches for honey and a new tail for Eeyore. In 'The Tigger Movie' (2000) Tigger gets in the way when Pooh, Piglet (John Fiedler), Roo (Nikita Hopkins), Rabbit (Ken Sansom) and Owl (Andre Stojka) try to prepare a home for their doleful friend, Eeyore (Peter Cullen), so Pooh suggests that his ever-bouncing companion go outside and play with some other tiggers. Tigger thinks this a very foolish suggestion, as he is the only tigger in existence - or so he thinks. In fact, this proves to be the start of an exciting adventure in which Tigger discovers his long-lost family members. In 'Pooh's Heffalump Movie' (2005) Pooh hears a strange noise in the woods and he and his friends are convinced that the dreaded Heffalump has come to do them harm. Pooh, Piglet and Tigger set out to capture the beast, but Roo (Jimmy Bennett), who is told he's too small to join the search party, meets Lumpy the Heffalump (Kyle Stanger) face-to-face and discovers he's not the bad guy he's been made out to be.

Tenth anniversary edition of the Shakespeare-inspired teen comedy drama. On his first day at his new school Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) falls head over heels for the gorgeous Bianca (Larisa Oleynik). However, he has a slight problem: Bianca is not allowed to start dating until her grumpy older sister Kat (Julia Stiles) has a boyfriend too. Cameron decides to act as matchmaker for Kat, and sets her up with a mysterious and moody loner (Heath Ledger) who may be the only guy in town who could put up with her. This version contains bonus footage which has taken the British certificate from a 12 to a 15.

In 'Father of the Bride', doting father George Banks' (Martin) world comes tumbling down around his ears when daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams) announces her engagement to boyfriend Bryan. But instead of a 250Z, she instead receives a Volkswagon Bug (Herbie) who soon takes over all of Maggie's driving. After having her best friend Kevin (Justin Long) restore Herbie, she goes to the car show and beats all-time racer Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon). He demands a rematch and attempts to discover the secret behind Herbie. After losing a big race to Trip because of Herbie's stubbornness, Maggie enters the Daytona 500. But will Herbie win?

Time travelling animated Disney adventure about a young boy searching for family life in the future. Orphan Lewis is a twelve-year-old inventor who has created a 'Memory Scanner' that he hopes can capture memories of his real mother. Stolen from him by the 'Bowler Hat Guy', a figure from the future, Lewis is helped by the mysterious Wilbur Robinson, who transports him to his future world in his time-machine. While staying with Wilbur's eccentric family, Lewis soon gets the chance to track down his invention and save both the day, and the future.

Disney's 1999 TV production of the classic 1977 musical Annie is remarkable for its casting of stage actors rather than ratings trump cards. Tony winners Audra McDonald (Grace), Alan Cumming (Rooster), and Kristin Chenoweth (Lily) join four-time nominee Victor Garber (Daddy Warbucks) and Les Misrables veteran Alicia Morton (Annie) to tell the tale of the Depression-era orphan who gets a taste of the upper-crust life. Not surprisingly, they all turn in strong performances, and even Oscar-winner Kathy Bates acquits herself well in a singer's role, as the villainous Miss Hannigan. Perhaps best of all is the original title moppet, Andrea McArdle, making a sensational one-minute cameo as the Broadway Star-To-Be in "N.Y.C." Compared to John Huston's plodding, overly busy 1982 theatrical release, this production as directed by Rob Marshall (Cabaret, among other shows) is quite conservative; few numbers leave the confines of their sets, giving it the feel of a stage production. It is also more faithful as a whole to the Broadway original, though at a running time of 90 minutes it leaves out most of the historical context of the FDR administration as well as some of Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin's familiar songs, and makes a few plot changes, some of which work and some of which don't. Because of the omissions, this probably isn't a definitive film translation of Annie, but it's well paced for a young audience, and would be an excellent introduction to get children interested in live theater. Annie was produced by the team behind the 1993 telecast of Gypsy with Bette Midler, as well as 1997's Brandy-Whitney Houston Cinderella, and there are plans for many others. As Broadway shows are too often represented on video by inferior big-screen translations, this trend toward good, solid small-screen productions is most welcome. --David Horiuchi

Law abiding airplane mechanic, Jimmie Rainwood has his life turned upside down one fateful night. Two bent cops accidentally bust into Jimmie's house rather than the one up the street, and assuming him to be the drug dealer they're after they shoot him. To cover their tracks they frame him as a drug dealer and Jimmie gets a major prison sentence. Struggling to survive in prison Jimmie sets about applying his resourcefulness to the situation whilst his devoted wife Kate attempts to get him freed. Fellow inmate Virgil Cane (F. Murray Abraham) tries to keep Jimmie sane, but can he get justice?
