miserable about dreich. A sunny day has no more right to exist than
a dreich one. Here, then, are fifty dreich images, accompanied by

Saturday was dawning warm, with only a gentle wind under a light
blue sky as we got under way. . . . With the motor cut out, I could
hear the whispered splash of the sea against the hull as we knifed
through the Mediterranean. The calming noise, along with the gentle
rocking, lulled me into a Zen calm as I went about preparing the
crew's lunch. . . . By keeping just a couple of miles offshore, we
had some beautiful sights to our starboard side: the harbor towns
of La Napoule and quaint Theoule-sur-Mer, . . . the sensational
coastline of the Corniche de l'Esterel. . . . All of this I could
see through the porthole in the galley. . . . Italy was only a week
away. La Dolce Vita at sea. . . An alluring, evocative summer
voyage on the Mediterranean and into the enchanting seaside towns
of France's Cote d'Azur and Italy's Costa Bella by a young American
chef aboard an Italian billionaire couple's spectacular yacht.
Having begun his cooking career in some of New York's and San
Francisco's best restaurants, David Shalleck undertakes a European
culinary adventure, a quest to discover what it really means to be
a chef through a series of demanding internships in Provence and
throughout Italy. After four years, as he debates whether it is
finally time to return stateside and pursue something more
permanent, he stumbles on a rare opportunity: to become the chef on
board Serenity, the classic sailing yacht owned by one of Italy's
most prominent couples. They present Shalleck with the ultimate
challenge: to prepare all the meals for them and their guests for
the summer, with no repeats, comprised exclusively of local
ingredients that reflect the flavors of each port,
presentedflawlessly to the couple's uncompromising taste-- all from
the confines of the yacht's galley while at sea. Serenity's
five-month journey starts on the French Riviera, continues along
Italy's western coast to Amalfi, crosses the Tyrrhenian Sea to
Sardinia, up to Corsica, and back to St. Tropez for the
season-ending regatta. Shalleck captures the glittery Riviera
social scene, the distinctive sights and sounds of the unique ports
along the way, the work hard/play hard life of being a crew member,
and the challenges of producing world-class cuisine for the stylish
and demanding owners and their guests. An intimate view of the most
exclusive of worlds, Mediterranean Summer offers readers a new
perspective on breathtaking places, a memorable portrait of old
world elegance and life at sea, as well recipes and tips to
recreate the delectable food.
Southern Arizona offers unlimited opportunities for backcountry

Besides the overwhelming amount of visual information that can
stand in the way of a pleasant museum visit, there’s another
trivial matter: meaning. Many of us aim to understand and
categorize everything we see, but what do you truly think when
looking at a particular artwork? The activities on these cards help
you to establish a connection with an artwork yourself, despite any
given information. You can do this in each museum, anywhere in the
world. Follow the activities from A-Z, choose one randomly or do
the ones who appeal to you most.

Rutland Water is the UK's largest man-made lake set in 4,200 acres
of parkland including a wide, hard surfaced, walkway making the
'Water' an ideal introduction to long distance walking. There are
four official, family friendly, recreation centres and nature
reserves including the Rutland Osprey Project. Add in picturesque
villages and the town of Oakham and you will soon understand why
Rutland Water has become one of England's favourite 'Daycation'
destinations. Rutland Water Challenge Map and Guide is a 25k scale
OSlike map with the Challenge route specially highlighted. We
licence OS 50k scale mapping which is then doubled in size to
produce an OSlike 25k map but the features, text and logos are now
doubled in size making them much easier to read under Challenge
conditions. Rutland Water Challenge Route is added and specially
highlighted so that our route stands out against the OSlike 25k
map. Then we add the additional detail you might need including
local hostelries along with the three walking routes; Hambleton
Peninsula 8.3kms, Circular 24.5kms and the full Challenge route at
36kms. For each of the three routes we have gps track and waypoints
as a gpx file; the zip file of the gpx files is available as a free
download. These gps track and waypoints gpx files can be used on
all gps phone apps and gps units. The 33 waypoints of the full
Challenge route are highlighted on the map, and our Rutland Water
Challenge Map is available as a free digital Custom Map download
for Garmin gps users. On the reverse of the map sheet is our
Locator Map using OS Opendata showing the location of, and access
to, Rutland Water relative to a wide area of England. The result is
a double sided 600mm by 600mm map design. We then print the map
design on a 100 micron plastic substrate using a special UV curing
inks process on the UK's only press capable of using this latest
technology. The result is a lightweight map that is both waterproof
and tearproof, and fully recyclable, that will survive anything
your Rutland Water Challenge can throw at it and afterwards will
fold up like new.
