God has been revealing to me that writing is an effective way for
me to share my heart with Him; I feel encouraged to use it as a way
to share his love and my faith in him with you. I have spent the
majority of my life searching desperately for the missing piece to
complete my life puzzle. The discovery of my life has been
made....Jesus. From the bottom of my heart to the top of the
highest mountain, I would like to proclaim to everyone who is
alive, ?God loves you God wants to be close to you You are created
for HIM He his waiting with open arms and unending love for you God
forgives you We can approach God with confidence in our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. The idea of this book grew from a seed planted
in my heart on November 9, 2012. While reading II Kings, God
revealed to me an important role in my Christian life. God tells of
King Hezekiah, who was aware of God's presence in past events, had
a personal relationship with God via a powerful prayer life, and
trusted in God's help for current events in his life. One thing he
lacked was his concern for future generations. God convicted my
heart that I was lacking this as well. Not sure what to do, I
prayed that God would show me. A book. Since I will not be around
forever to share my faith with future generations, I can share my
faith through a book. This is the first and possibly the only book
I will write; I will leave that up to God. This is a collection of
prayers and writings regarding some truths God has revealed to me.
An invitation to you...to draw near, speak to God about what is on
your heart, then be still, and know that He is God. This is the
sacrifice God wants from us. He wants us to share our heart with
him and trust him and his word to guide our lives. Talk to God
about anything you would a family member, best friend, co-worker,
etc. God wants us to come to Him first.

Why have multiple mega-church leaders-Ted Haggard and Bishop Eddie
Long, for example-committed acts of sexual misconduct? This book
discusses the reasons in depth and examines how these acts are
impacting the future of megachurches. Mega-churches-churches with
congregations that number in the thousands of worshippers-are
growing in popularity in America and around the world. Shockingly,
a growing number of megachurch leaders have committed acts of
sexual misconduct. While these scandalous crimes have received much
attention through the media, literature that examines the topic in
detail has been lacking. This book examines the various aspects of
sexual misconduct by megachurch leaders, providing a comprehensive
review of the topic that discusses the direct and indirect reasons
for these crimes. The book provides unbiased, factual coverage of
megachurch sexual abuse cases, covering issues surrounding the
victims in specific cases, the role of the church, and notable
ministers, such as Ted Haggard of New Life Church, Colorado
Springs, CO; Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist
Church, Lithonia, GA; and Joe Barron of Prestonwood Baptist Church,
Dallas, TX. The author also discusses how these incidences have
impacted societal perceptions of religion, and large churches, and
religious organizations, and provides recommendations to curb
future cases of sexual abuse within megachurches.
Have you ever heard of something that peaked your interest? That's
how this book came about. Daniel 10:1. One word stood out for me
and that was the word "but." I stopped reading the paragraphs and
began to read the word. The Bible tells us to study to show thyself
approved a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth, discerning God's will for your live. This on
verse took me on a journey that enlightened me and empowered me.
Take a walk through the pages. I promise you it will peak your
interest.
Poems, prn (Latin: pro re nata) is a compilation of recent poems by
Larry Troxel. He separated them into two groupings; the first
consisting of poems that are more about the lighter and serious
sides of life, and the sweet feelings and inspiration that evolve
there from. From those selections his associate James Atkinson, an
accomplished musician and composer, has created and recorded
beautiful songs on a CD Music and Poetry From the Heart, with poems
such as My Soul, The Flowers Say, Touchings, and Waves. The second
group is poems that paint, in the brightest colors, his
religiosity, principals of faith, devotion and church. It is his
hope that some may find what he has written to be interesting,
agreeable, and maybe even inspiring, prn.
This book began ... as a collection of poems and tributes, shared
with friends and family, that I finally had the courage to
complete. I tend to be garrulous in person, but brief in writing.
Hence, this is a small book of the biggest ideas I've had -- at
least big enough to make note of them in verse. These pieces do not
rhyme. My goal is the expression of a pure and often fleeting
thought; one that touches the heart and reverberates truth in some
form. The book can be read in any sequence: OUTSIDE... Love,
commitment and romance INSIDE... Personal enlightenment and
challenge AROUND... Time and holidays ABOVE... Tributes and
memorials BEYOND... Spiritual and human development May you find
here an insight that echoes along your pathway. ...And let me know
if you run across my moonglasses Kevin Gardner [email protected]
In this mundane, material, sensory world in which pain, sadness,
disappointments, failures, discontent, depression, and disharmony
are encountered daily, we can now embark, in this Book, on a
journey through which we are able to shape our own destiny and
master our own lives in order to avoid suffering, to gain inner
Peace, to become compassionate, wise, happy and eventually
enlightened human beings, by the grace of God.
Stephanie Gurley shares her story of living a self-absorbed life
while trying to acquire her dreams. To acquire those dreams would
require running a race daily as a wife and mother. Nearly at hand,
her dream became her survival, as she was diagnosed with a brain
tumor. God offered her the ultimate race to run in, a race that was
intended for all to participate in. It was a race that took her far
to overcome insecurity, wounds, and fears, as God transformed her
prideful, hardened heart into moldable clay. It was a heart that
began to desire the Word of the Lord and every morsel it had to
offer. It was a heart that ultimately became refreshed in His
spirit, leading her to the calling of writing this book. She obeyed
the Lord. She was not to let her testimony sit on a shelf at home.
She says, "Obedience is what matters." Come with Stephanie to see
some of the things God has shown her. You can begin your journey
crossing one stepping stone at a time, whether it is in your
spiritual walk, personal walk, or a ministry. It is her prayer that
you will be led to become refreshed in His spirit Grab hold of the
seeds along the way, and begin to bloom.
This Book makes us aware of spiritual warfare in a way that many
people will never tell you by exposing daily spiritual violence and
difficulties that people are faced with in their lives at different
levels. Maria shares her experiences of how the Lord healed and
delivered her when the doctors could not, and how she kept her
deliverance. She shared the journey to her visitation from the Lord
and what happened next, bringing to light the power of dreams and
visions. The book talks about open doors that can cause the devil
to have legal right in your life that you may not recognize, hidden
fears, mind battles and much more.
This interdisciplinary study introduces readers to Friedrich
Schleiermacher's diverse pathways of reflection and creative
practice that are related to the field of translation. By drawing
attention to Schleiermacher's various writings on a range of
subjects (including philology, criticism, hermeneutics, dialectics,
rhetoric and religion), the author makes it clear that the
frequently cited lecture UEber die verschiedenen Methoden des
UEbersetzens (On the Different Methods of Translating) represents
but a fraction of Schleiermacher's contributions to modern-day
insights into translation. The analysis of Schleiermacher's various
pathways of reflection on translation presented in this book leads
to the conclusion that translation is part of the essence of the
world, as it is a fundamental tool of our cognition and a
foundation of our existence. In Schleiermacher's works, transfer,
translation, mediation, and communication underpin our very
existence in the world and our self-awareness. At the same time,
they represent fundamental categories for a project that focuses on
the consolidation and assimilation - through translation - of that
which is foreign, different, diverse.
When Alfred Schwab was given the opportunity to meet a "contact"-an
incorporeal entity who had been communicating with someone Alfred
barely knew-he was skeptical, to say the least. But his curiosity
and open mind encouraged him to at least explore the
possibility.Orifi, a non-physical being with a special affection
for humans, was willing and able to share his insights from beyond
our understanding. Over the course of many years, he and Alfred
shared countless conversations filled with humor and earthly
give-and-take. Orifi shared generously about our reality, fate,
free will, health, love, religion, and our physical world-past,
present, and future. When Alfred was faced with unimaginable
tragedy in the death of his child, he turned to Orifi for guidance
and hope. And what Orifi shared allowed the grieving father to view
his life experiences in a new and optimistic way. "You are never
alone," Orifi promised his friend, and that sentiment rings through
Alfred's story and words.
From a daily commute through Seattle rush-hour traffic to
equatorial jungles, the Olsons experienced a radical change in
lifestyle when they answered a call to serve God in Christian
radio. Their travels over a nine-year period brought challenging
and joyful experiences in cross-cultural living in the twenty-first
century. Their stories range from compassionate to humorous as they
relate their extraordinary adventures.
Travel along with the Olsons as they move from country to
country across five continents. Author Patti Olson captured the
sights, sounds, and emotions of new discoveries as they experienced
them, allowing her to recount them in rich detail in Frogs in the
Loo and Other Short-Term Missions Tales.
