This book will lower your excitement about religion but will
intensify your pursuit to establish the kingdom here on earth. I
never cease to be amazed at how so many who say they are followers
of Jesus Christ can believe that Jesus has stopped forgiving,
healing, and calling leaders into His vineyards when there is so
much to do. This book is here to let everyone know that He (Jesus)
has not returned yet, but His power still generates in those who
have accepted Him as their Lord and savior and are willing to hold
on to the faith. Leadership style does not mean that the agenda is
different. Many leaders today are uncomfortable with the presence
of another approach to ministry. It calls for us to observe that
all the apostles had different styles in approaching situations and
difficulties; yet, the ministry of Jesus was their priority alone.
Leadership, just as everyone else, will have to make adjustments as
long as leading is on the agenda and in process.
These poems deal mostly with Biblical issues. Some address our
human condition based on the Scriptures. Others deal with unseen
influences that many of us are unaware of, but which impact our
lives for better or worse. They were written as a result of 21
years of studying the Bible. Originally my journey into the
Scriptures began as I sought solutions to my own problems. However
over the years it has became a quest for answers to life's deeper
issues. When I began reading the Bible I did not believe I would
find solutions to my problems. I started reading it out of
desperation after I had exhausted books on philosophy and the
occult and just about anything else I got my hands on. I read many
books promising "the secret" but they disappointed me. It is really
astonishing that a book which just about everyone has sitting
around really has the answer to every human need. I wrote these
poems because I came to the realization that many people like me
years ago, do not believe in the spiritual. And yet I believe it is
evident that if we disregard Biblical teachings about the spiritual
realms, life simply does not make a lot of sense. However it is
also my experience that many people who claim to be spiritual do
not understand what the Bible teaches about the spiritual realm
that operates in the earth. These poems were also written for
people who have difficulty reading and understanding the
Scriptures. I try to clarify misunderstanding about many important
Biblical issues such as Hell and pre-destination. They are written
in simple poetic language for the benefit of anyone who is
interested in Biblical Truth
Of course a great pair of heels will make any women feel confident
in herself. Standards in Stilletos is a collection of Jazmin's blog
articles and encouraging quotes. The articles promote female
empowerment, self-love, respect for ourselves as women, and never
allowing yourself to be disrespected. The articles put things in to
perspective for women everywhere on how they can build up their
self-esteem and happiness. The articles also touch on relationships
and how women should refrain from selling themselves a dream by
lowering standards or creating standards that are too high. The
book illistrates that relationships require hard work,
determination, and respect on all levels. In order for women to be
able to love, they must find the love for themselves.
"I really believe we can find the answers to the questions and
problems of life in God's word, the Bible, and I tried to convey
that to my students over the years. Studying the Bible is
spiritually enlightening and personally empowering to make you a
better parent, child, friend and witness for Christ. Studying the
bible can also be fun. By using the outline approach, you can
organize your thoughts, and increase your understanding of the
truths and principals from the scriptures. Read this book for some
examples of outlining, then choose a scripture and make your own
outlines."
Every child of God encounters spiritual warfare on many fronts. To
help us to win our battles, the Lord of Hosts gave us the Holy
Spirit as our Helper against the forces of hell. Relationship with
Him is imperative as He brings with Him all that we will need to
become more than conquerors. Every believer needs to manifest the
character of Christ in waging war against the enemy. Every believer
has a call of God, is anointed and graced, and must be able to
function effectively in the Kingdom of God. Every believer must
become conscious of the spiritual strategy to wage war against the
enemy and be victorious. Every believer must become fully equipped
to continue to establish God's Kingdom purpose on the earth. Every
believer must discover connection with the Master's vision of the
results expected. The Holy Spirit endows us with the capacity for
winning every battle. The Holy Spirit equips us with the ability to
wage successful warfare. The Holy Spirit encourages us with the
strategy of a Kingdom warrior. The Holy Spirit enlightens us with
the mentality derived from the wisdom of God. The Holy Spirit
enables us with authority as we connect with the Master's vision.
The picture that God has of every Kingdom Warrior must become
realized in our individual lives. The church must aligned itself
with the Vision that God has of it, and not seek to compromise
God's vision for His church. We can be all that God said we will
be, do all that He raised us up to do, and have all that He has
promised us.
Greetings! Welcome to Mary's journal of Jesus' early life. Can you
imagine nurturing a baby, experiencing all the firsts of a toddler,
teaching a young boy, tolerating a teenager, and enjoying the
experiences of a young man, while always anticipating a promised
kingdom? This was Mary's life. Very little is known of these early
years, but Mary must have celebrated milestones just as we do
today. Jesus had a first tooth, a first word, a first step, a first
day of school, siblings, graduations, and other milestones like our
children today. The only witness to all these events was Mary.
Learn of Jesus' relationship with his brothers and sisters and many
cousins, including John the Baptist and Matthew. In Jesus, My Son,
you will watch Jesus' life unfold through the eyes of his mother.
In an age where information is a commodity and financial freedom a
much sought after desire, this book provides both to a subset of
society. Targeted at but not exclusively towards the Christian
Community it fuses biblical scriptures and principles with the
practical requirements needed to build a business. Giving the
reader the essential tools to build a God pleasing and sustainable
business in a tough economic climate. The desire for financial
freedom is just one of many reasons why people start a business,
but at the core of this desire is trust or lack of. We no longer
trust the system, our employers or the government to provide for
us, or our future, we want control back. In order to gain control
we need knowledge, information and guidance. This book provides
that much needed help, providing its reader with the correct
information to start their journey to personal autonomy. Covering
areas such as vision, planning, dominating the market, and using
their Faith for progression. It fuses practical advice and tips
with biblical revelations accompanied by God's scriptures.
Red Barns and Green Fields Poems of Rural America Most of America's
land area is rural and most of it is rich - rich in natural beauty
and rich in the character of country folk. The deeper we dig into
the soil of rural America, the deeper we dig into its soul that
longs for the fresh and the free. The deeper we dig into its
people, the deeper desire we have to be self-reliant, patient, and
trustworthy. This collection of 64 poems celebrates and expresses
gratitude for rural places, rural life, and rural people.
Selections: From "Date Stone" I wonder how they hammered and plowed
and cooked, And how they played and loved and looked. I wonder too
how they sang in church in monotones And how they cut and carved
their date stones. From "Mail Pouch" My mind had a chew of scented
country bravado As I imagined a farmer enjoying his Mail Pouch
tobacco, High on his faded green tractor in pale blue denim
overalls, Spitting at the dark red dirt, and waiting for dinner
calls. He opines, "My Mail Pouch is always close to my vest. I
treat myself to nothing but the best." From "Beach Walk" There were
several docile painted ponies staring at me from the grassy dunes.
The sandpipers' claws skipped across the sand like tiny sowing
machines stitching a beige coat. The swirling scavenging gulls
thought I might have some bits of food for them. The shells and
driftwood were still sound asleep. From "Real Faces" Faces that
that are no fools. Faces that say what they mean. Faces to look up
to. Faces you can count on. Tom Despard has authored four poetry
collections about faith, beauty, and life. He resides in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with his wife Gayle.

Do you feel as if life is moving too fast?
Have you ever felt flustered, fearful, like a fool?
Perhaps you want to live frivolously or struggle with forgiving
someone. You are not alone.
The faces we wear in public may make others think we have it all
together. But in reality, most of us are simply trying to make
sense of the complex, sometimes confusing, and strangely wonderful
moments of our lives.
Open this book and find a word that you are drawn to-and read
one of the reflections. You might discover how your own experiences
have lifted you to new places and expanded your view of yourself
and the world.
The Twelve Steps program of Alcoholics Anonymous has helped
millions of us. Without it we would not have found our way. I for
one am extremely grateful for this life saving gift. My concern for
its continued life is the drifting from its foundation. The Twelve
Step program has lost its fire. The fire lost is the spirit, the
spirit of God. The spirit is still smoldering in the Twelve Step
program, just waiting to be ignited again. I will introduce you to
the founding fathers of AA; show how the program's foundation was
originally based in Christianity and a relationship with Jesus;
share my experience with the Twelve Steps developed by the founding
fathers; and provide you with a method to apply the Twelve Steps as
originally developed by the founding fathers to your life. Working
the Twelve Steps as they were originally intended can change your
life dramatically, break the addiction cycle and create a
relationship with Jesus. The fire of the Holy Spirit will become
part of your life. Gary Agnew has recaptured the original and true
spirit of the Twelve Step Movement that was founded upon explicitly
Christian principles; namely, that without Christ we can do
nothing, but in Him we can do everything. A Higher Power of this
Movement was originally the Holy Spirit of the Christ who lives
within. Faith, hope, love and forgiveness are the essential
principles of AA. Rev. William McCarthy, MSA An essential role of
healing is turning our minds and hearts toward God. Gary Agnew
captures the centrality of this wisdom in a remarkable way in his
Twelve Step book. In recovery sometimes therapy is needed;
sometimes medication, but ultimately the healing is between the
person and God. The Twelve Steps are a way of life-a guide that
everyone can use to live in freedom and peace. The Holy Spirit is
the Guide within it who heals us. I am thrilled to have this book
as a resource in the healing process. Mary Alice Rossini, NP Nurse
Practitioner/Psychiatry
Throughout history, Jews have often been regarded, and treated, as
"strangers." In The Stranger in Early Modern and Modern Jewish
Tradition, authors from a wide variety of disciplines discuss how
the notion of "the stranger" can offer an integrative perspective
on Jewish identities, on the non-Jewish perceptions of Jews, and on
the relations between Jews and non-Jews in an innovative way.
Contributions from history, philosophy, religion, sociology,
literature, and the arts offer a new perspective on the Jewish
experience in early modern and modern times: in contact and
conflict, in processes of attribution and allegation, but also
self-reflection and negotiation, focused on the figure of the
stranger.
