Each one of us has made choices in our lives that we regret. Some of these choices have minimal consequences, while other choices we have made can cause devastating outcomes. In her book, "Abortion v. God's Amazing Grace," the author shares just that sort of choice that can have lifelong effects. Her choice to have an abortion was made at a moment when all she could hear were lies. Then, after it was too late to undo what she had done, truth was heard, reality set in, and the pain and hopelessness became unbearable. Thankfully, God does not leave us without hope. Through the author's story, you will see how God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, takes our sin, pain, and destruction and brings forgiveness and hope to our lives. You will witness a God who takes our brokenness and over and over again demonstrates His powerful love, forgiveness, grace, and healing. The author will share that God is always there. He is always love, and He waits to make each one of us whole. "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." - 1 Peter 2:24
Generational diversity has always existed, but it has now intensified due to the recent technology explosion, the early entry of younger generations into the workforce, and the late exit of Baby Boomers from the workforce. Many mangers have to deal with several generations on the same team. It requires a deeper understanding of management and better understanding of people skills to handle a diverse staff. In order to get the best from the entire team, it is important to satisfy their needs while retaining individual talent. Surveys indicate that fully 60% of employers report tensions between employees of different generations. Join Alex Steele as he uncovers the challenging differences between these generations and develops a game plan to lead a better team. Along the way, he discovers not only the skill to lead, but the skill to live. The journey is deep-rooted in pain and darkness at times. In the end he emerges, not only with a better understanding of people, but a better understanding of life.

It gives the reader a clearer picture of who the 144 thousand are and it explains where they come from. This book is an attempt to help people to become more comfortable in reading the bible. You can read this book and follow along with your Bible. Follow along, read, and prepare for what's coming in the future.

Covering secret societies, mysterious ancient traditions, and the often-mistaken history of the world's religious symbols, this book takes readers on a tour through the fascinating world of religious symbolism and reveals the most mysterious and misunderstood facets of religion. Hidden Religion: The Greatest Mysteries and Symbols of the World's Religious Beliefs not only explores the history and origins of widely recognizable symbols, like the Christian cross and the Star of David, but also introduces readers to more obscure symbols from religious traditions around the world-even defunct ones like those of the ancient Aztec and Mayan societies. In addition, the book discusses the "religious secrets" found in the major religions, including secret societies of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. Containing more than 170 entries, the encyclopedia is organized by religious category, such as Abrahamic, East Asian, and African Diasporic religions, then alphabetically within each category. Each entry is prefaced with a short introduction that explains where and when the religious tradition originated and describes the religion today. This information is followed by an analysis of the historical development and use of symbols along with an explanation of connections between symbols used by different religions, such as shared astrological symbolism in the form of moon, sun, or star motifs. Provides fascinating historical and contextual information about religious traditions and symbols Addresses the roots of some of today's most popular superstitions and conspiratorial theories Focuses primarily on religions that are dominant or are becoming widespread within the United States, allowing students to gain a better understanding of religion in American society and greater appreciation for cultural diversity Develops a unique thesis about utilizing religious archetypes to facilitate understanding of religious ritual and organizations Includes a phonetic pronunciation guide with each entry to help students become comfortable with unfamiliar terminology
It's clear that we are the authors of Evil. We are the ones running with pitchforks. Deity is no more than a cardboard cut-out, barely paying attention if at all. Yet, so blatant are claims on behalf of the gods in our time that one is compelled to wonder how civilization came to be in such a mess. Of course humanity shares the blame, perhaps most of it, but given the deity's reputation for miraculous cures, it is surprising, no, astonishing, that human suffering is still an issue twenty-six centuries after Job made his complaint. The author remembers the last century as a time of stupendous brutality and cruelty, from which humanity has yet to recover. The truth is, he fears, that either we do not know the gods well enough to banish them, or that banishment could not come too soon. We would do well to remember Socrates and how to apply reason in our lives.
Messages from God All messages in this book are from God, revealed by the Holy Spirit to the author. All scripture is taken from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. "I make known to you, brothren, that the Gospel which was preached by me, is not after man, for I neither received it of man, neither, was I taught it. but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:11, 12) Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor." (Luke 4:18) "God has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Isaiah 61:1-2) Reverend A. L. Dorrough Messages from God

Supported with real examples, these topics of everyday life are dissected so that the depths of the Bible are accessible to all. Th is book is for anyone who wants to know more about spiritual warfare, whether they are pastors, ministers, workers, Christians engaged in spiritual warfare, or even those who are tormented by the spirits of the world of darkness and who want to end their afflictions.

Dr. Howard has crafted a careful and balanced blend of Bible exposition, theology, real-life illustrations from his vast ministerial experience, and practical applications to those who yearn for their lives to be transformed from a messy situation to a message that honors and glorifies God. Each chapter expounds the miraculous way God used an unlikely individual with a messy life and turned his or her life into a positive message. The woman at the well, Zacchaeus, Jabez, Ruth, the thief on the cross, and Jephthah all faced challenging circumstances. Sin, genetics, the unexpected death of a spouse, rebellion, and poor family heritage placed these Bible characters in the "most likely not to succeed" category. All had three strikes against them. God, in His infinite mercy and grace, had a plan for each of these lives. He turned their mess into a positive message. Regardless of what mess you find your life to be in, this book gives practical ways of how to get out. Everyone faces trials and difficulties in life. Dr. Howard likens the trials and difficulties in life to "potholes." Potholes appear out of nowhere - unexpectedly - and can be destructive and hurtful and take away our joy and sense of well being. Dr. Howard says, "Being a Christian does not mean that we will not be faced with trials and tribulations, which are like potholes in our lives (some are big while others are small)." Regardless of how messy your life is or how many potholes are causing you concern, "Turning Your Mess into a Message" will give you hope and lead you to the Savior, who alone can turn your life around. He did it for the six Bible characters expounded upon in the book and He continues to change and transform messy lives into a message today.
Jervis Sharp Zimmerman was born in Harvey, Illinois in 1922. He graduated from the University of Illinois with High Honors in English and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Thereafter he prepared for the Christian ministry at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and was ordained in 1945 by the Presbytery of Chicago. He subsequently earned a Master's degree in counseling psychology at the University of Chicago. In 1953, after studying at Berkeley Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut he was ordained deacon and priest by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut in which he continues serving. From 1954 to l967 he was Rector of Christ Church, West Haven, Connecticut where Oliver Prescott served in l866 and l867. It was this fact which sparked the author's interest in Prescott which led to this biography. Prescott was an early and ardent advocate for the Catholic revival in the Episcopal Church. As a priest he was in constant difficulty with his bishop, both for his doctrine and his liturgical usage. With his protege, Charles Grafton, he was an early member of the Society of St.John the Evangelist, the first modern monastic community for men in the Church of England.
Recent arguments surrounding the meaning and message of the Qur'an often focus on whether or not it supports or exhorts violence. Such arguments, though, tend to ignore the fact that the scriptures found there speak to various aspects of life and living. The Qur'anic Narrative attempts to show that the Qur'an has an inspiring message that aims to enlighten the path of those who embrace it and guides them through the journey of life. Exploring various themes related to everyday experiences, Safi reveals the meaning of the Qur'an with regard to issues of spirit, faith, charity, patience, fasting, salvation, pride, charity, moral discipline, and other relevant topics. In an attempt to recapture the Islamic spirit promoted in the Qur'an, this book offers an approach that speaks to areas of life many people are concerned about. It pastes together a narrative that is more consistent and more representative of the overall Qur'anic message, which, the author contends, is ultimately one of peace and hope. Safi places the Qur'an in context, too, by examining its meaning to early recipients of the scriptures and its place in that particular social and historical context. He continues by updating that meaning for modern readers and adherents, relating the intended meaning to an evolving human audience and to contemporary experiences. The author contends that extremist readings are misinterpretations and that those who may view the Qur'an as a holy text that encourages, even demands, violence are incorrect. Ultimately, readers will come away from this work with a broader appreciation of the Qur'an and its intended meaning and message.

The process of finding ones self, or self worth becomes tedious, when there is no one there to direct or to give instruction of purpose and destiny; or mainly the identity, of the person with the crisis. Prophet Rodney will testify that when he experienced the disarray of life, there was much unexplained emotional pain. Feelings of repeated rejection, molested at age eight by a very close family member. He became overwhelmed with life and the uncertainty that it brings. Avenues of promiscuity opened and were vastly available. Many times we in the Body of Christ compromise the word of God through conversations with satanic voices of rebellion assigned to us from Satan. Satan has assigned voices to cause us to fall from the will of God in disobedience of the Word known to us. Satan desires to lead you to see opposite of what God wants you to see; and that strips us from position, of such is what happened to him (Satan). |
