In Second Sight in 3D, A Mediums Memoirs, Heather talks about some of her heartfelt connections from deceased loved ones on the other side. She gives a 360 degree look into what goes on in these sessions; touching on what it is like for her giving these emotional messages, the healing the client receives in a reading, and how the people on the other side feel about having a chance to connect with their loved ones who were left behind.
This book is comprised of a compendium of motivational essays that are intended to stimulate the mind and stir the heart toward sensing the magnificence of the Almighty Lord, Allah (Glory be to Him, the Most High), as also to experience the beauty and wisdom of Islam, and to imbibe the principles and precepts of life taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The style of these discourses is generally intended to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims on the spirit and values of Islam, and on recognizing humanity and human attributes within oneself, as well as to share Islamic ethics, morality, philosophies, and principles so as to promote the understanding of Islam and to illuminate the purpose of life. Each essay is motivated by several particularly insightful verses from the Qur'an and traditions and sayings of the Prophet, which in themselves are enlightening to read and reflect upon.
I wonder what the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at Jacob's Well was like. What were the circumstances that led to her being there, drawing water in the heat of the day? The New Testament does not give us much background on the people involved in some of the familiar stories. This book brings those characters to life by letting the reader imagine what their life might have been like. Consider Joseph as a man wondering how he got himself into a situation where he and his pregnant wife were traveling to Bethlehem. What happened at the birth of Jesus from the perspective of another guest in the Inn? Did the jailer in Philippi have a son? If he did, how might he have viewed the events that happened while Paul was a prisoner? A Centurion had a servant who was ill. What was the relationship between the Centurion and the servant? How did the Centurion happen to get sent to Galilee? These stories take New Testament stories as a starting place and consider a different possibility. They will challenge you to think again about the people who might have met Jesus in person.
Julene grew up in a prominent family with godly virtues but when tragedy struck it tore them apart. She became a victim of physical, mental, and sexual abuse. Even though she was elevated to stardom that did not heal her severed heart, she learned that the cure to her crisis was not the money or the men but rather it is God. She discovered that God is the healer who mends everything that is broken and breathes life into everything that is dead. He gave her a reason to keep on living, and looking beyond her past failures and moving into the victories that He prepared for her.
For thousands of years humans looked to the stars for navigation, deities, personality insights, predictions and omens about the future. What can we learn from these heavenly bodies? The Bible says that the Lord placed them there as faithful witnesses to mark the seasons, the days, and the times. The Bible also tells of Wise Men from the east that followed a star to Bethlehem to find a king. What other events might be revealed by the movement of the stars and planets? Is there more hidden in the stars? Is there a Star Code?
The deception of Satan that there are many ways to God is heard in every quarter today from many prominent individuals. However, that does not mean that it is true. Jesus said of Himself, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Only one way, not many ways, is available for sinful humanity; and because of their sin, only God Himself could provide that way. Sin caused alienation and separation from a holy God, making it totally impossible for humankind to stand in His presence. He did, through the shedding of His Son's precious, sinless blood, make redemption available to the whole world. The blood of Jesus runs through the entire eternal plan of God for salvation; there is no other way

Raised in a biased family where wrath ruled; finally settling into the arms of her high-school sweetheart in matrimony, only to later be torn apart by a devastating divorce, came his confession of a long-held secret-only years after their blessed reconciliation and conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A Travesty and a Triumph of Love is an odyssey in faith and learning, as one LDS convert comes to work with the Lord Himself, to find the son she never knew.
I come to you in this way; no body, no voice, just the spirit that comes across these pages. I come with a story that not only reveals my intense love for a man that I would never have, but also the depth of my devotion to my most wonderful husband and two beautiful children. I watched my marriage fall apart around me as I reached out to someone who was not there. I tried hopelessly to pick up the pieces of my broken marriage. The pieces did not seem to fit together, while still others were missing. Due to these conflicts, I experienced feelings of deep despair and then terror, as I sank into a dark depression and developed panic disorder. I knew I had to rise above all this or fall prey to this most unhealthy set of circumstances. Through psychological counseling, spiritual guidance, prayer and the support of others, I was able to journey back to my childhood finding clues and information making it possible for me to put the bits and pieces of my life back together, making sense of this once and for all. I not only rise out of depression and panic disorder but also I rise above the burdens of childhood abuse. I ultimately reach a wonderful place, a spiritual loving place, making of myself a strong Spirit-filled vessel for my husband and my children to connect with. There are certainly lessons to be learned here from this story which I share with you. Come away with me grow from what I have learned and how I have loved. Understand the importance of truth and the freedom that comes with it
What is your first thought when you hear the word cancer? It's probably not a good one. Cancer changes us, some of us for good others for bad. Ovarian cancer changed me. I became stronger, determined and empowered. From being a listener I became a writer. This book is about my journey through Chemotherapy. As I told my story to family and friends, I discovered that besides being concerned, they were starving for information. This topic and what a person is experiencing along the way was new to most of them. It changed the direction of my life and helped others to look at cancer from a new perspective. You'll laugh with me, maybe you'll cry, but hopefully you'll be come a wiser person.
How do you know what God's direction is for your life? How can you find and more clearly understand the wondrous plans "He" has for you? Would you like to uncover the hidden passion that's lying in wait inside of you? In any economy-good or bad-do you ever fret about bills and money? Do you experience troubling nagging stressful life issues? Have you been skeptical or had a careless attitude about whether dark, evil forces are real or not? Would you like to encounter a fresh and enlightening simplistic perspective concerning this issue and spiritual warfare? Finally, here is an inspiring, modern-day true story of discovery that will give thought-provoking insight and answers to these and other important questions and problematic dilemmas. Author Jack Kovnas does not tell you how to pray as much as he shows you through his own teaching examples of actual prayer events. With deep humility, he candidly reveals how sinfully and shamefully he lived the beginning stages of his Christian life-without prayer-but then turned completely around as he uncovered genuine happiness "with" prayer. Inside this book you will find a declaration by somebody who learned the value of praying and trusting God-who willingly gave up house and possessions, and then watched in amazement as they returned. This informative prayer-ride journey is a testimony to what God
can and will do for any and all of us. As Jack humbly and assuredly
attests-even though it is his own true life story, every sincere,
caring word on each and every page is not about him-it is about
"you" ""Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not upon
thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He
shall direct thy paths.""
COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY assembles a collection of wisdom to ignite courage, hope, and strength in those caught in the inevitable storms of life. In his 1965 masterpiece I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew, Dr. Seuss observed, And I learned there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. Adversities arise in all shapes and sizes. The death of a loved one, divorce, business failure, job loss, health issues, and natural disasters are only but a few examples. None of us is immune from the life events that can shake or even obliterate our foundations. Personal disasters leave us dazed and shell-shocked. We find ourselves standing in the rubble of our lives, wondering how to move forward and what to do next. Winston Churchill asserted, If you are going through Hell, keep going This is sage advice for anyone in distress. The question is how, when you have totally lost direction, do you keep going? When fear, discouragement, failure, loss, and regret have taken firm root in the gardens of our heart, mind, and soul, how do you vanquish them? During adversity, attitude will always dictate outcome. The key to overcoming any obstacle is to tune out the negative noise of the storm and society in general. The positive emotions of courage, faith, hope, perseverance, and peace contain far greater power than negative emotions. COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY explores strategies for: Finding courage and faith in place of fear Finding hope and perseverance in place of discouragement Finding opportunity and choice in place of failure Finding clarity and accepting change in place of loss Finding recovery, reinvention, and peace in place of regret
Are you one of the chosen? Scripture states that "many are called but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). - Abraham was chosen. - Samuel was chosen. - Deborah was chosen. - King David was chosen. - Queen Esther was chosen. - John the Baptist was chosen. - Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was chosen. - Paul was chosen. The chosen can be found throughout the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelations, along with countless others who have been chosen for this generation. These individuals are relentless, driven, and in hot pursuit of the glory of God, desiring only to fulfill the will of God. Have you been called and chosen for your generation? Have you been chosen to carry the end-time anointing and do exploits in Jesus' name? If your answer is yes, then add your name to the list of the chosen. "But ye are a chosen generation ..." (I Peter 2:9).
