The Spirit of the Heart is a collection of poems with most written during late 2012 through mid-2013. Each of them resulted from personal thoughts and experiences and from studying God's Word. Before writing down these words I processed them through my heart to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit dwelling in the human heart, the heart opens up to the Truth of being. It takes practice, patience and faith to hear and understand as the Holy Spirit responds, conveys and directs the Truth through the magic of the heart. We as a people of a proud and historic nation have watched as our economy was fractured badly during the 2001 period through 2009. The lust for big power and wealth has caused some leaders of government, business, and religion to have more ambition to achieve their own personal success than to care about those persons they are responsible in leading and protecting. Mr. Thomas Andrew Dorsey's telephone number was given to the writer of this newly released book by the name, Thomas A. Dorsey, Father of Black Gospel Music An Interview, by a directory assistance operator in Chicago, Illinois. The writer, at the time, (1975) took a chance and called, not expecting the first publisher of Black Gospel Music, to answer the phone. The greatest need of professing Christians today is a better, deeper, and fuller knowledge of Christ. The Christian life can be described as getting to know God better every day. "How did I get here?"

Warsaw was once home to the largest and most diverse Jewish community in the world. It was a center of rich varieties of Orthodox Judaism, Jewish Socialism, Diaspora Nationalism, Zionism, and Polonization. I moved on in life, but for over forty years, my heart, my thoughts, my pain dragged within. I wondered if would I ever get closure, if would I truly live this life and that more abundantly. Life is a series of lessons. For the Christian the goal of each is to guide and encourage the student to become a little more like Jesus.
